(PNEUMATIC)MAGNETIC SHEET SEPARATORS
Goudsmit's very powerful sheet separators loosen, lift and separate sticky or oily steel sheets from a stack in rapid succession.
- They remove the sheets systematically, one by one to ensure a smooth
production process.
- They prevent tool and die damage by eliminating double blank problems.
- Suitable for the separation of sheets of almost any length, width or shape,
inlcuding round and asymmetrical products.
- The permanent magnetic power does not decrease and is guaranteed for several
decades.
- Expensive compressed air systems are no longer required to separate the steel
sheets as separating magnets will do the job at a much lower cost.
- Pneumatic version can be switched on and off pneumatically and can be
adjusted in height and also the magnetic field's spread force can easily be
adjusted.

Overband Magnetic Separator could be electromagnetic or permanent magnet made of.
Electromagnetic Overband Separator (R-SKM)
A coil rolled over a magnetic pole, with a passing electric current, provokes a magnetic field. An iron material that crosses this magnetic field will be attracted to the coil and automatically separated from the rest of the materials, driven by the pulling band.
Permanent Magnetic Overband Separator (R-OMP)
The magnetic field is produced by the joining of highly powerful magnets. An iron material that crosses this magnetic field will be attracted to the magnets and separated from the rest of the materials, driven by the pulling band.
Overband Magnetic Separator can be installed either transversally or longitudinally.

Polytech magnetic separators have been designed to remove ferrous and non-ferrous solid contaminants from coolants and oils. Magnetic separators can substantially reduce filter cartridge consumption and element changes when used in grinding, honing and lapping operations where filter cartridges are used. They can reduce the concentration of small fines left in the coolant by chip conveyors in broaching, milling and drilling operations that can settle in tanks and reduce tool life.
The magnetic drum is made up of alternating permanent magnets and steel discs. The magnetic field is extended by the magnetized steel discs to maximize effectiveness without resorting to more costly high strength or rare earth magnets. A comb type scraper and adjustable discharge chute optimizes sludge removal.

The treatment of process liquids usually requires a reliable and highly efficient separation of the smallest ferrous particles. The high gradient permanent magnetic filter HGF is designed to solve exactly this problem; either as a process by itself or as protective device for membrane systems. In the HGF, the ferrous particles are separated at a fine meshed filter matrix in a strong magnetic field. Particles as small as 1 micron may be separated while still producing an output of more than 90 %.

We manufacture candle type magnetic separators that are compact and occupy less space keeping the tank free for maintenance. They are more suitable for cellular installations. With excellent collection efficiency they are perfect for viscous liquids. They run only on one drive and also require less power. They are suitable to handle fine ferrous dirt from large flows of coolant. Most useful in rolling, grinding, wire-drawing etc.
Working:
An endless belt of magnetic candles is dipped in dirty coolant tank such that the dirty coolant enters in the core. Coolant flows slowly over the magnetic candles leaving the ferrous dirt on the candles. The belt is indexed to pull out dirt-laden candles & rotate them at top to remove the dirt. The dirt is then transported to a bin outside the tank.

Magnetic drum TM model.
The magnetic drum TM substitutes the drive drum of the conveyor belt, separating ferric metals from any other inert , loose product. When it reaches the end of the belt, the material conveyed falls but the ferric metals are retainded by the drum, falling in a different direction to the purified material.

When material passes over the pulley, ferrous metal objects are attracted by the magnetic field and held tightly as the belt travels around the pulley are not released until they leave the influence of the magnet. Non-magnetic materials follow a normal trajectory. A divider plate can be installed to ensure that no remixing occurs. Standard diameters range from 6" to 36," and standard widths range from 10" to 62." Shaft size depends on length and weight

Slag, minerals, wood chips, glass, Sand, WEEE, Shredder Residues, Municipal Waste
STEINERT Magnetic Head Pulleys attract tramp iron from these bulk materials in the same space as the normal conveyor belt head pulley. This avoids extensive reconstruction of your plant. Magnetic Head Pulleys protect your valuable processing equipment from damage by tramp iron that drum or suspension magnets miss buried in the burden.
STEINERT Magnetic pulleys are usually operated after the extraction of larger iron parts by other magnetic separators. Magnetic pulleys with strong neodymium type magnets can reclaim small, low magnetic particles - partially stainless - from the bulk materials.

Cascade magnet systems are used in situations where ferrous particles have to be removed thoroughly from large quantities of raw materials. Cascade systems are available in manual and automatic models and are strongly built with a 4 mm thick stainless steel or steel housing. Bakker Magnetics cascade systems have a wide range of uses and are easy to incorporate in existing systems. A valve box is built in to the cascade systems to remove the ferrous particles that have been collected. Once the valve box has been opened, the magnets can be turned away and the ferrous particles will then drop out of the system via the side exit. Both manual and pneumatic versions are available in all models. With the pneumatic versions, a push of a button is sufficient to remove all the ferrous particles collected in the valve box chamber. Optionally, this type can be supplied with an electrically operated valve. All the components of the pneumatic system conform to the ISO and CETOP standards. As an option, the automatic versions can be fitted with a pressure tank which enables the system to stay in service when the supply of air pressure is lost. If required, all models can be fitted with inspection windows and/or manganese steel wear plates.

One main application for the High Gradient Magnetic Separator HGS is the processing of minerals such as heavy mineral sands, glass sand, ceramic raw materials, salt, slag, fine coal and other fine ores that contain feebly or paramagnetic particles that need to be separated. Leading edge technology is required to meet these duties of separation for either the removal of impurities or the recovery of valuable minerals. The Steinert HGS provides the performance for these critical separation applications, the high magnetic field gradient and the reliable design. The HGS is a high intensity magnetic separator with a modular design consisting of either single or multiple stages to suit the separation of the material.
Each stage or module consists of a short belt conveyor to transport the material continuously to the magnetic pulley of the HGS which generates a high magnetic field gradient and a magnetic field strengths of up to 20,000 Gauss. The open design of the Steinert HGS allows the processing of particles from 10 mm to less than 1 mm in size.

Overband with permanent magnet OPL model.
These unit consist of either a permanent magnet PL or an electrical magnet DEP, depending on the required output, located above a conveyor belt. Any pieces of iron, or other magnetic metals, that pass under the magnet, mixed with the material being conveyed, will be attracted and retained by the magnet, thus separating them from the material they were mixed with, given that the separator is surrounded by a conveyor belt, with dimensions that are suitable for the separator unit, the purpose of which is to remove all of the pieces of iron that have been captured, letting them fall at a determined point.

Degreasing liquid, filter concentrate, coolants, minerals
The wet drum separator NTS is used to remove very fine magnetisable components from low concentration, low-viscosity liquids. The NTS is intended for use in the metal processing industry and for the treatment of preconcentrates extracted from the STEINERT high gradient magnetic filter HGF.
Around 90 % of the grain sizes ranging from 1 µm to 1000 µm can be separated as sludge. Features such as stainless steel housing and powerful neodymium iron bore magnets are standard.
General Principe
The liquid flows through a semicircular separating chamber beneath a stainless steel drum to which the magnetisable particles are attracted. The strong, high-gradient magnetic field is created by a cylinder consisting of permanent magnetic discs positioned within the drum. These special permanent magnets generate particularly high field gradients which are necessary for successful separation, as is the need with all magnetic separators.

They facilitate the manual gripping of sheet metals and avoid the double catch on dépileuse.
PRODUCTIVITY AND SAFETY:
The sheet metal blanks or bands piled up tend to adhere the ones aus others, causing wastes of time during their gripping.
The separators allow them "to float". Their gripping is very easy, moreover one eliminates the risks from simultaneous sending of two blanks under the cutting tool.
PRINCIPLE:
Sheet metals are locally induced with the same polarity as the poles NR and S of the separator. The zones thus polarized of the same name, push back and cause the separation of sheet metals. The magnetic field created causes a space between the blanks. This space is increasingly important to the top of the battery cell.
When the operator takes the first blank, the second takes its place with the higher part of the separator.
|
|
Sheet separators were specially developed to permit easy and uninterrupted removal of steel sheets stacked horizontally or vertically. No more prying apart of greasy or oily sheets.
A sheet separator saves money. Sometimes compressed air is used as a sheet separator. Air is very expensive. Properly designed magnet sheet separators do the same job free from ongoing costs.
Advantages of Walker Magnetics sheet separators
Stable magnet pack
No gradual loss of magnetic power
No special precautions for storage
Stainless steel cover
Robust construction
High separating power yet compact dimensions
Large range of sizes
Very simple mounting

General description
Coolant, containing ferritic perticles, is pumped into the magnetic separator where the coolant is then passed over rotating magnetic rollers. The ferritic particles then attach themselves to the rollers. As they accumulate the particles are eventually srapped off rollers and residuals coolant is allowed to drain back into the filter system. Drained particles are deposited into an optional sludge container.
