Direct analysis by Ion Chromatography is attractive for Halogen and Sulfur.
But various material has to be prepared adequately to the aqueous solution. To do this, bomb-absorbing method is often used. Even this method there are issue that abnormal combustion could occurred for polymer and organic solvent sample, and also way of absorbing requires know-how to obtain sufficient result.
Automatic sample combustion AQF -100 is able combustion - Ion chromatography measurement by automatically. This instrument enable low level analysis of Fluorine/Chlorine/Bromine/Iodine/Sulfur of organic, inorganic sample in faster and easier.
By combine of sample combustion and IC, halogen/sulfur analysis of organic and inorganic sample is able more easily than before. It is applicable for various industries like polymer, additives, composite for electronics, coal, cement, etc.

Model VA-210 for liquid sample; Lubricants, grease, tar.
The moisture vaporization method is used to measure samples of solids that cannot be dissolved in dehydrated solvents or electrolytes, or samples that include interfering substances. The moisture content is vaporized by heating the sample in a flow of dried nitrogen gas. It is then captured in a dehydrated solvent or electrolyte and subjected to Karl Fischer titration.
Either coulometric or volumetric titration is used.
This method is commonly used with natural substances, such as minerals and rocks, and with macromolecules such as polymers and rubber. New areas of use include electronic materials, including printed circuit boards and wafers, and printing
materials, such as toners. This method is also useful for petroleum products containing additives, such as lubricants.
Convenient moisture vaporization systems are available commercially to suit various purposes. They can be connected to either volumetric or coulometric titration systems and used to measure moisture content.
