The method: oxidation stability according to EN 14112
The determination of the oxidation stability according to EN 14112 is an accelerated oxidation test. The sample is held in a sealed reaction tube at a constant temperature of 110 °C while a continuous flow of air is passed through the sample. The fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) in the sample are oxidized to peroxides as the primarily oxidation products. After some time, the fatty acids are completely decomposed into the secondary oxidation products. In addition to volatile organic compounds, these are low-molecular organic acids, mainly formic and acetic acids. An air flow transports them to a measuring vessel containing distilled water as the absorption solution. |

| Our systems for gas permeability measurement for plastic and rubber samples have simplicity, excellent selectivity, high sensitivity and wide dynamic range. The measurable permeating components include water vapor, hydrogen-sulfide, methane, ethane, carbon-dioxide, BTEX (Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene and Xylene), ammonia etc. There are two basic forms of our systems; the first one, which is based on photoacoustic gas detection, is optimal for measurements at normal pressure and temperatures up to 120 ° C. The second one, which is based on photothermal beam deflection method, can be used also at extreme pressures (up to 1000 bar) and also at high temperatures. An outstanding feature of our system is that due to the very high dynamic range of the measuring method, it is possible to fit numerically the early part of the permeation curve, which results in a considerable reduction of the measurement time |

| The DENSITRAK® Model D625 liquid density meter utilizes the spring mass principle for measuring the fluid density. A portion of the "u" tube is energized to vibrate at its natural resonant frequency by using an electrical feedback driving system. A change in the vibrating mass, (as a result of change in the fluid density) shifts the resonant frequency. A CSI SPUD signal processing unit for density uses temperature, pressure and the shift in frequency to determine the density of the measured fluid. |

Digital density meters measure density, specific gravity and other related values (I.e. alcohol%, BRIX°, API degrees) with high precision and short measuring time.
Measuring principle:
A hollow glass tube vibrates at a certain frequency. This frequency changes when the tube is filled with the sample: the higher the mass of the sample, the lower the frequency. This frequency is measured and converted into density.
Benchtop instruments are equipped with a built-in Peltier thermostat to control the temperature (no water bath required). |

The Wallace High Precision Densimeter is a cost efficient inspection instrument, calculating an accurate measurement of specific gravity. With a scale capacity of up to 300g and specific gravity resolution to three decimal places. The X22B is ideal for the inspection of rubber, plastic, sintered metals, glass and ceramics, foods and other materials. Using the optional liquid measuring kit the specific gravity of a liquid can be determined.
The innovative design makes specific gravity measurement simple and results are displayed after an elapsed time which varies according to the mode selected. Zero and tare are set through touch button operation on the front panel. The angle accessory (supplied as standard) enables samples with an SG of less than 1, to be tested. Compensation for temperature and for fluids other than water can be set by the operator. A built-in accuracy check is a standard feature so that if sample weight is insufficient, the final digit will flash. A wind shield is provided to protect the instrument from draughts and dust during operation.
