Vibrophores
For fatigue testing of materials or components by applying sinusoid loads Zwick Vibrophores offer an economical alternative using the resonance principle with constant or variable amplitude and mean load.
The Zwick vibrophores combine a maintenance-free system with maximum testing speed at minimum energy requirements.
The wide range of nominal loads (from 5 to 500 kN) enables the widest variety of dynamic tests according to the resonance principle.
With suitable add-ons, testing can be carried out under different environmental conditions (temperature, aggressive media), or torsion or bending tests can be performed. The ElectroForce® 3330 test instrument is well-suited for long term durability studies. It provides static to 100 Hz performance with a load envelope of ±3000 N, and versatile performance for a variety of fatigue test applications.
Applications include durability testing of orthopaedic implant devices as well as dynamic characterization of engineered materials and components.
The ElectroForce® 3330 test instrument is available as a table-top configuration or a floor-standing model. The table-top configuration can be integrated with a variety of environmental chambers and specimen fixtures to meet specific test applications. The floor-standing model provides more versatility, such as the ability to incorporate a torsional motor for multiaxial test applications. It provides 100 Hz performance with a static and dynamic load envelope of ±3000 N, and the capability to add a ±28 N-m or ±70 N-m torsion option.
SPECIAL: Dental Wear Simulator (ElectroForce 3300 Test Instrument)
Bose introduces the ElectroForce biaxial testing configuration to simulate the masticatory cycle (chewing) for the evaluation of dental biomaterials and/or restoration techniques. Thus, the effectiveness of sealants or enamel replacements can be assessed in the laboratory. This wear simulator is useful for evaluating 2 body wear and can effectively run hundreds of thousands of cycles. The wear produced by 250,000 masticatory cycles on this type of simulator corresponds to the wear measured after 1 year of clinical service (Delong, et. al. 1985; Sakaguchi, et. Al. 1986; and Krejc et. al. 1990). |

We have long experience in pressure testing, leak testing and cleanliness. Here the expression “weakest link in the chain” is really valid. When you wash a tube it’s very important that you get the pressure drop in the test object and not in the machine. We have developed a system of sandwich valves, pressure transformers, etc which we need in the system. We are practically the only ones in the market who use servo hydraulics to generate the test pressure. It costs more than pneumatic intensifiers but the advantages are significant.
