Dexter R-Mag™ Magnetron,U.S. Patent 5,865,970
UP TO FOUR TIMES MORE PRODUCTIVITY THROUGH ENHANCED MAGNETICS
Our patented quadrature design produces higher fields than conventional magnetrons thus lowering your costs.
>The higher fields allow for thicker targets. Thicker targets can drastically increase run time between target changes while saving thousands in target costs.
>Magnet assemblies are built with carefully matched magnets that are calibrated to within +/- 1%.
>Magnet assemblies can be adjusted in any location to obtain the desired uniformity profile along the length.
>Magnet assemblies are designed for direct exposure with the cooling water.
>Magnets are mechanically protected with SS cladding.
>Magnet bar is designed with SS to minimize corrosion.
>Turn around portion of the assembly is designed for simple replacement. This allows us to work with the end user to optimize the turnaround erosion for maximum target utilization. This saves time and money! The replaceable turnaround also allows the end user to quickly repair and replace this portion of the bar if it becomes damaged.
>Readily adjusted to run with the larger ID targets
>Each magnet bar is individually mapped and certified to meet the uniformity requirements.
>Optional: Unbalanced or balanced magnetrons

The co-axial coupling consists of three parts. The outer hub consists of a series of rare earth magnets that are ground, potted and attached to the inside diameter of a steel hub. The inner hub consists of a series of rare earth magnets that are ground, potted and attached to the outside diameter of a steel rotor. The inner hub is then completely sealed in stainless steel to protect the magnets and rotor from damage or corrosive substances. Typically there is a radial air gap of up to .275" (7mm) between the inner and outer hubs. Conventional bores and keyways are used to drive the inner and outer hubs.

Inter-8® Weave Cable has applications to many interference problems. Current-carrying conductors generating interference fields can be replaced with INTER-8 WEAVE cable to substantially reduce radiation. In low impedance circuits where external interference results in disturbing signals, Inter-8® Weave Cable will reduce the circuit sensitivity to the external fields. Among typical applications are cable connections to strain gages, thermocouples, photoelectric detectors, audio coils and transformers, piezoelectric transducers and preamplifiers.
SPIRA-SHIELD is flexible conduit that provides high permeability magnetic shielding for sensitive cables and conductors. Constructed of .010" thick CO-NETIC AA Alloy, SPIRA-SHIELD provides greater attenuation than braided sleeving and also furnishes physical protection. Among typical applications are ground support and communication equipment, shipboard control systems, audio-level interconnections, sensitive instrumentation and aerospace apparatus.
Co-Netic® Braided Sleeving, constructed of 36 or 34 AWG CO-NETIC AA high permeability wire, provides superior flexibility compared to foil that is spiral or channel wrapped around cable.
CO-NETIC AA wire in .005" diameter is widely used in magnetic shielding braid applied over cables. All gauges have applications where high permeability, low coercive force and ferromagnetic properties are required. CO-NETIC AA wire is corrosion resistant and has an affinity for solder. Meets MIL-N-14411, Composition I.

A current-carrying twisted pair is superior to parallel conductors, but is of limited effectiveness in reducing electromagnetic radiation. Correspondingly, the twisted pair is limited in avoiding unwanted pickup of external H-fields (D.C. to 100 KHz).
Inter-8® Weave Cable substantially reduces magnetic field pickup and radiation compared with conventional twisted pair cable. Our cable involves four separate conductors braided into interlocking loops and is a patented design of Magnetic Shield Corporation. In application, adjacent conductors 90º apart are connected together, effectively providing a two conductor circuit.
Because the Inter-8® Weave Cable design incorporates parallel conductors, the cable provides double the current carrying capacity of a two wire cable of the same AWG size. In contrast to conventional twisted pair, INTER-8 WEAVE does not kink or untwist when left free.
