Joyce/Dayton - Established 1873
Joyce Ball Screw Jacks feature a ball nut with integral ball bearings that recirculate along the surface of the ball screw. The significantly reduced friction between the ball nut and screw results in greater efficiency, with up to 2/3 less input torque required to move the load than a similarly rated machine screw jack.
Compared to Machine Screw Jacks, Joyce Ball Screw Jacks

Joyce Ball Screw Jacks are available in translating screw or rotating screw (keyed for traveling nut) designs. Translating screws are available with threaded, load pad, clevis or plain ends. Options include limit switches, encoders, geared potentiometers, direct drive and reducer mounts, and protective boots. Joyce Ball Screw Jacks are ideal for single or multiple jack systems.
Unlike Machine Screw Jacks, Ball Screw Jacks are not self-locking. Because they will lower under load, a brake motor or other external braking mechanism is required.

Versatile Joyce Machine Screw Jacks lift and precisely position all kinds of loads from 250 lbs. to 250 tons. Upright or inverted, these precision jacks operate at full capacity whether the load is in tension or compression. WJ series single lead jacks are self locking under full lifting capacity, while DWJ double lead series jacks offer increased travel speed. Heat treated alloy steel worm shafts, aluminum/bronze worm gears and tapered roller or ball bearings provide rugged reliability.
Double extended worm shafts are standard. Joyce screw jacks come in translating screw, rotating screw (keyed for traveling nut) and keyed designs. All screw jack designs can be fitted with a protective boot. Jacks are available with one of four standard screw ends or special ends to meet your requirements.
An optional anti-backlash feature compensates for thread wear, assuring minimum play between lifting screw and worm gear for smooth, precise operation. | Screw jack is one of the most used and cheap mechanism used for a wide variety of uses as lifting or moving any kind of load, even unbalanced ones. It can be used individually or in groups so to operate in perfect synchronisation. BP RIDUTTORI screw jacks are irreversible and don't need additional locking system. They are fully produced in our factory, and they guarantee high quality standard. The case is made of spheroidal cast iron or aluminium and the worm gears is made of special UNI 7816 18NCD5 iron, grounded on both the thread and shaft. It's possible to produce every NON STANDARD version to meet our customer request. |
