Double seals of the TB08 series have the same design-features as the “TB05” of single seals (easy-to-replace seal faces, etc.). Apart from the installation length of the drive collar, all fitting dimensions (d1<100 mm) conform with EN 12756 (DIN 24960). This seals is equivalent to Burgmann type H74-D Pump Seals.
Performance Capabilities
d = 14 - 200 mm
p = 25 bar
t = -50 – 200 °C
vg = 20 m/s |

Mechanical seals of the TB03 series are a cost effective type of a balanced seal. The design features are single seal, balanced, conical spring, dependent on direction of rotation. The dimensions are according to DIN 24960 standard . The TB03 series are equivalent to Burgmann type H12N series pump seals.
They have the same robust and reliable construction as the unbalanced spring seals . These seals are primarily used in the chemical sector and in water pumps.
Performance Capabilities
d = 10 - 80 mm
p = 25 bar
t = -50 – 200 °C
vg = 15 m/s |

The TB02 series mechanical seals are very popular. The design features are single seal, unbalanced, conical spring, dependent on direction of rotation. The dimensions are according to DIN 24960 standard . The TB02 series are equivalent to Burgmann type M3 series . Extremely rugged and reliable, they cover a wide spectrum of applications – in water pumps, sewage pumps, submerged pumps, chemical pumps, etc.
Performance Capabilities
d = 10 - 80 mm
p = 10 bar
t = -40 - 205 °C
vg = 10 m/s |

Chesterton’s 186HT Single Bellows High Temperature Cartridge seal is designed to provide greater reliability in the most demanding services.
Chesterton offers the proven, nesting ripple bellows design. In the nesting ripple design, all bellows plates are identical and contoured to permit nesting when compressed. Nesting distributes pressure uniformly accross the span of the bellows. The end result is less stress at the bellows welds.
While the industry standard is nine convolutions bellows spring, Chesterton uses a twelve convolution bellows core.The twelve convolutions achieves maximum bellows plate thickness while it does not compromise the bellows spring rate. The design offers lower heat generation and greater seal reliability. |

Chesterton’s 442 Split Mechanical Seal construction enables the seal to handle pressures three and one-half times higher than conventional split seals. The 442 is the only split seal specifically designed to be able to withstand vacuum in the stuffing box. This makes it the ideal seal for main and auxiliary condensate pumps.
Fast, Easy Installation
The 442 provides the sealing capability of traditional mechanical seals without the need to disassemble and realign the pump. All parts are split to slip around the shaft and assemble in place. The 442 seal is a dramatic time saver with fast, easy installation, plus it can be rebuilt quickly and easily. Downtime is minimized and driver/equipment alignment is eliminated.
Main Features:
Fast, easy installation without the need for pump disassembly.
Specifically designed to seal in applications where stuffing box is in a vacuum.
Fast, economical and easy rebuild of seal in the field eliminates the need for a spare seal.
Adjustable gland fits 2, 3 or 4 bolt patterns. |

Chesterton’s 442M Split Mechanical Seal
The 442M provides the sealing capability of traditional mechanical seals without the need to disassemble and realign the pump.
Fast, economical and easy rebuild of seal in the field eliminates the need for a spare seal.
The 442M avoids equipment dis-assembly during seal change.
Designed to handle the high runout conditions of mixers and agitators.
Patented automatic centering.
Exclusive design features ensure maximum performance.
Compact seal design occupies minimum space.
The ultimate split seal for mixers, agitators and specialty equipment .

Chesterton’s 442M Split Mechanical Seal
External springs are non-clogging and act as a wear gauge.
Double captured gland and holder gaskets resist extrusion.
Narrow face rotates to minimize wiping effect.
Patented centering buttons provide automatic centering and are FDA approved for sanitary conditions.
Captive shaft O-ring makes installation simple.
Dual flush ports allow piping from either side.
Designed specifically with high-runout equipment in mind
Split design allows quick, economical installation without equipment disassembly.
Economical repair kits allow the seal to be field refurbished
442M split mixer seal is specifically designed to reliably perform in services which routinely exhibit large amounts of radial shaft runout.
Large internal clearances allow radial shaft movement without damaging seal components.
Patented Automatic Centering Maximum radial runout performance demands perfect centering.
Unique centering "buttons" positively center the gland about the rotating element. This ensures maximum radial travel in all directions. Face "Wiping" is minimized in rotating narrow face designs, if the equipment shaft is not concentric to the stuffing box bore, particles are prevented from being transported across seal face wear track due to the wiping action created. The lapped seal faces are nprotected from damage. |

Standard pressure tanks, manufactured in accordance with API 682 standards, can be supplied in various applications using circulation pumps and process instruments for controlling seal running parameters.
For heavy duty applications there are complete internal flushing and heating/cooling coils to cater for customer's requirements. Proper nitrogen gas pannels are available for dry-running mechanical seals. |
