Rated voltage 12, 24, 36 and 38.5 kV
Rated current 630 A and 1250 A
Switch-industrial fuse combinations are used for operational medium voltage-side on and off switching of distribution transformers in secondary substations. They additionally have the task of protecting these transformers against the impact of internal and external faults.
These combinations comprise a functional unit of switch disconnectors and back-up fuses.
By means of the fuses the breaking capacity of the combination is extended beyond that of a simple switch disconnector up to the rated short-circuit breaking current.
The high-voltage high breaking capacity fuse, according to statistics of the VDN (German Association of Electricity Network Operators) is rated as reliable transformer protection. The h.v.h.b.c. fuse in combination with a switch disconnector provides a simple solution which is very economical to procure and run.
This provides a clear-cut advantage over a industrial circuit breaker with the associated current transformers and overcurrent time protection.
Besides this, the h.v.h.b.c. fuse has a current limiting effect when short-circuits occur and reliably interrupts the fault current of the first half cycle.
These properties are advantageous for the dimensional design of the network.

DRIESCHER Indoor Switch-disconnector H 27
• 3-pole
• Rated voltage 12 kV and 24 kV
• Ratec current 630 A
For frontpanel mounting or mounting besiede with or without actuating.
All switches are generally equipped with quick make and quick break operating mechanism.
The switches are designed for normal operating conditions according to DIN VDE 0670, Part 1000, class Minus 5° Indoor.
The peak value of the ambient temperature is 40O C; the average value over 24 hours is 35° C at best.
The values of the insulating power are related to sealevel.
Reduction in insulating capacity at hights up to 1000 m are negligible due to the decreasing insulating capacity of the air.

Outdoor Switch-disconnector FLa15/60
used for vertical and horizontal mounting on wooden or concrete pole
Rated voltage 12, 24, 36 and 38.5 kV
Rated current 400 and 630 A
For decades DRIESCHER - Outdoor switch-disconnector have been used as line sectionalizers in medium voltage overhead line networks and have
proven to be extremely satisfactory based on their reliability and operating safety.
The switch is in compliance with the regulations as per DIN VDE 0670
Part 301.
The arc extinguishing device in its weatherproof housing, operates in accordance with the oil flow principle of the well-established DRIESCHER circuit-breakers and is shunted in the On condition.
The switch frame and the operating shafts mounted in bronze bearings specifications are hot-galvanized. All insulators used in the construction are made of
cycloaliphatic cast resin (Color RAL 8017 brown).
The contacts with flat terminations in accordance with DIN 46206 are made of electrolyte copper and are silver plated.
Even after many years of operation, a spring guarantees a constant
contact pressure as well as easy and satisfactory switching.
The nuts, washers and spring cleaners of stainless
steel ensure corrosion-free connections even under extreme climate conditions.

Rated voltage 12 kV, 24 kV, 36 kV, 38.5 kV
Rated current 400 A, 630 A, 1600 A, 2500 A and 4000
All switchgears mentioned in this list comply with the specifications of VDE 0670 Part 2.
All switchgears are equipped with expoxy resin insulators (colour brown, RAL 8017).
For decades the simple, robust construction proved a success in climatical different regions.
The base frames - a welded work made of sectional steel - and the operating shafts made of bronze are hot-galvanized.
All contacts with flat terminations according to DIN46206 and double disconnecting blades made of electrolytic copper are silver-plated and form loopless current paths.
The industrial fuse holder contacts are designed to the operation of high-voltage, high-breaking capacity fuse-links according to DIN 43625.
Adequate cross-sections and suitable contact pressures result in an easy and troublefree switching even after many years of operation, even under
extreme conditions.
All disconnecting switches and three-pole fuse bases can be delivered with an earthing switch.
Disconnecting can also be equipped with spark quenching horns for disconnecting low currents.

DRIESCHER - Outdoor Switch-Disconnector
Type FLa 15/97
• Rated voltage 12 kV, 24 kV, 36 kV and 38.5 kV
• Rated current 400 A and 630 A
• 1-pole and 3-pole design
Contrary to former outdoor load-break switches in which it was common practice for the arc to be extinguished in oil, with the new developed outdoor switch-disconnector FLa 15/97 arc extinction takes place in a vacuum interrupter.
Based on a patented insulating system there is also no liquid or gaseous medium required for the external insulation strength of the vacuum interrupters.
The vacuum quenching device is embedded in a weather-proof insulating housing.
This switchgear is therefore also recommended for special applications (e.g. in water protection areas).
The outdoor switch-disconnector is capable of switching on its rated current as well as its rated short-circuit making current via the main contact system.
The disconnecting process is implemented via the shunt-connected vacuum interrupters, resulting in no external arcing phenomena.
A fully developed eccentric make-and-break mechanism operates the vacuum interrupters and ensures Class M2 with regard to the mechanical strength (corresponds to 5000 mechanical operating cycles).Fefer brochure 766e
