Housed deep field chute magnets are used for the removal of tramp iron, for example, nuts, bolts, washers and mill balls from gravity fed pipelines and chutes.
These 'Primary' magnets are installed in goods inwards points or mid process to prevent large pieces of contamination damaging expensive processing equipment.
One of the main benefits of incorporating this type of unit is that there is no restriction inside the unit enabling already established product flow rates to be maintained.
All product contact parts are manufactured using 316 grade stainless steel.
ATEX type approval – we can supply ATEX certified products direct from our factory cutting turnaround and costs.

The new equipment R-SIM, developed by REGULATOR-CETRISA, can detect any metal and separate it from the rest of the non-metallic materials.
The result: having a good separated fraction of metals or rather material that is free of metals.
The operating principle of the Metal Separator by Inductive Detection and Blowing (R-SIM) is based on having a combination of highly efficient sensors available that cover the entire width of the equipment. A metal on the detector produces a signal that is processed at high speed due to an electronic advancement (CPU). It then acts on a complex pneumatic system that carries out the physical separation. A studied distribution of the detectors, the high capacity of processing information and a precise system of pneumatic valves allow the metal to be “blown”, changing its path and separating it from the natural path and the rest of the materials.
The Metal Separator by Inductive Detection and Blowing (R-SIM) has an acceleration belt that can handle large volumes of processed material. Likewise, a PC with a touch screen can modify and adjust the different parameters in order to obtain the optimum separation.
The R-SIM is equipped with a filtering system of air and pneumatic control that ensures the air quality and pressure that are necessary for the equipment to run correctly.

GLS closed aperture, tunnel metal detectors are equipped with digital technology and used for inspecting bulk materials or individually packaged product on belt conveyors, material slides or vibratory conveyors.
GLS metal detection systems detect all ferrous and non-ferrous metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminium etc ), even those which may be contained in the product. If metal is detected a signal is sent to the process controller or the reject unit is activated.
The enclosed type of construction ensures that very high sensitivity is achieved throughout the entire tunnel area. For this reason the GLS range is highly suited to precise applications in the food industry.
The size of the detector is dependent upon application, conveyor belt width and product height.

|
VARICON metal detection systems detect all magnetic and non-magnetic metal contaminants (steel, stainless steel, aluminium etc ), even those which may be contained in the product.
The system comprises 4 main components:
• GLS tunnel metal detector
• special conveyor (width of belt from 500 mm)
• “stop-on-detect” control unit
|
|
The RMS series of tunnel metal detectors (with circular aperture) are mainly used for inspecting bulk materials in pipeline systems (gravity or airborne feed). They are also often used in the ejection area of production machines to identify rejects or broken tools.
RMS metal detectors detect all magnetic and non-magnetic metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminium etc ), even those which may be contained in the product. If metal is detected a signal is sent to the process controller or a flap is activated to remove the contaminant.
The RMS metal detector range is mainly used in industries where hygiene standards are less important. They are used to inspect products which have little or no product effect.
The size of the metal detector depends on the application and nominal width of the pipeline.

VARISORT CME-P - Combined colour and metal separation system for plastics recycling applications (material fed by conveyor)
The VARISORT CME-P combined colour and metal separator is designed for use in the plastics recycling industry to remove metal (cans, foil-lined Tetrapaks etc) and off-colour contaminants (bottles, cups etc) from plastic bulk materials. The material to be inspected is spread out on a fast-moving conveyor so that the pieces are optimally individualised before they reach the inspection area of the multi-channel metal detector. If a contaminant is detected its exact location is determined. Electronics evaluate this position and ejection nozzles are activated with pinpoint accuracy and at precisely the right time to blow out the contaminant. The ejection nozzles are so precise that the metal and off-colour contaminants are removed with very little loss of good material and without any interruption to the material flow.
Advantages:
• removes metal, metal composites and inclusions
• removes contaminants with pinpoint accuracy
• modular design
• evaluation of the entire visible light spectrum
• self-teaching evaluation electronics
Typical applications:
• removes cans from lightweight packaging
• removes off-colour plastic bottles
• removes metals/off-colours from specialized plastics

MAG 4300 ME-P - Metal separation system for plastics recycling applications
The MAG 4300 series of metal separators, used in the plastics industry, removes metal contaminants eg aluminium, steel or stainless steel from regranulate. The flow of regranulate is widened on an external feeder and reaches the glass slide where the pieces are further individualised before continuing into the inspection area of the multi-channel metal detector. If a metal contaminant is detected microprocessors determine its exact location. Electronics evaluate this position and ejection nozzles are activated with pinpoint accuracy and at precisely the right time to blow out the contaminant. The ejection nozzles are so precise that the metal contaminants are removed with very little loss of good material. The rest of the material, free of metal contaminants, then continues along the conveyor.
Advantages:
• removes all types of metal, including stainless steel
• removes metal, metal composites and inclusions
• removes contaminants with pinpoint accuracy
• modular design
Typical applications:
• removes pump dispenser springs and balls from PET flakes
• removes aluminium from HD-PE flakes
• removes stainless steel from PVC window regranulate
