The measuring systems series MFE (metrology front end) is
particularly suited to manufacturers of structured wafers, masks,
MEMS and similar products. Because of the very high cleanliness,
process and yield requirements, all tools are especially designed
for use in cleanrooms.
MFE systems measure critical dimensions and overlays on the
one hand and 3D topography or film thickness on the other.
All tools are metrological and comply with the necessary industry
standards such as the SECS II / GEM software interface.
Furthermore, the system is fully automated and equipped
with wafer cassettes and part carriers.
An EFEM and mini-environment for class 1 cleanrooms
rounds off the upper segment of the MFE tool series.

Atomic Force Microscopy
Atomic Force Microscopes (AFMs) scan the surface of a sample using a very fine tip on the end of a microscale cantilever.
Atomic interactions between the tip and the surface lead to a deflection of the cantilever which is then detected by a piezoresistive element. Based on this effect, the AFM can measure the topography or roughness of a surface with very high resolution non destructively. The AFM can be used in different operating modes and thus allows for the investigation of further properties, such as electrical and magnetical forces or elasticity of a specimen.

Description:
Nowadays, the properties of surface topographies are increasingly influenced by new processing methods and new materials.
The traditional profile stylus method is often not adequate to characterize the functional behavior of surfaces. Three-dimensional recording and evaluation are required. Soft and thin-walled materials also require non-contact measurement.
Moreover, ever higher levels of surface quality are being achieved, greatly increasing the requirements placed on measuring systems in terms of resolution and measuring accuracy.
The MarSurf WS 1 satisfies all these requirements:
- Vertical resolution 0.1 nm (.004 µin)
- Three-dimensional measurement and evaluation in only a few seconds
- Compact measuring station configuration for the workshop and laboratory
- MarSurf XT 20 software
- Topographical evaluation software on the fully standardized and powerful MarWin software platform

Scanning Frames are a critical factor in making a profile measurement. If the material is not presented to the sensor in an accurate and repeatable way, you will not be able to get the most accurate and repeatable measurement. This is why NDC places emphasis on engineering and producing the most accurate scanning frames in the industry. Our scanning frames' registration performance, coupled with our sensors' accuracy and repeatability, give you the most accurate profile measuring tool available.

Intelliprobe™
The Intelliprobe™ for the API Laser Tracker is the ideal tool for large and complex parts. With the help of the Intelliprobe™ it is now possible to use the superior range of the API Laser Tracker to measure hidden geometry and even points from larger structures and assemblies.
Unlimited measurements
Geometry measurements without direct line of sight with the laser beam often pose challenges to laser tracker users. However, this is not the case when using the Intelliprobe™ from API.
Intelliprobe™ advantages:
*
Uninterupted measuring made easy: The laser beam can be recaptured with the Intelliprobe™ at any time
*
More Options: Even the most difficult to measure hidden structures are made simple with the Intelliprobe™. Optional probes lengths are available up to 700 mm
*
With intelligent accessories such as the Intelliprobe™ , the user is able to extend the range of application of API Laser Tracker.
Unsurpassed Handling
The Intelliprobe™ from API captures hidden geometry and obstructed points easily, as the probe is able to swivel around its own main axis. Thus, the system is easy to use for over head measurements which are usually difficult to reach. Together with the T3™ Laser Tracker from API, the Intelliprobe™ is the most compact 6 DOF-System on the market.

Our systems for gas permeability measurement for plastic and rubber samples have simplicity, excellent selectivity, high sensitivity and wide dynamic range. The measurable permeating components include water vapor, hydrogen-sulfide, methane, ethane, carbon-dioxide, BTEX (Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene and Xylene), ammonia etc. There are two basic forms of our systems; the first one, which is based on photoacoustic gas detection, is optimal for measurements at normal pressure and temperatures up to 120 ° C. The second one, which is based on photothermal beam deflection method, can be used also at extreme pressures (up to 1000 bar) and also at high temperatures. An outstanding feature of our system is that due to the very high dynamic range of the measuring method, it is possible to fit numerically the early part of the permeation curve, which results in a considerable reduction of the measurement time

The oxidation stability of biodiesel can easily be determined with the 873 Biodiesel Rancimat from Metrohm, a modern and reliable instrument with a 3 years’ warranty. In addition to reliable hardware and easy operation, it offers all the comfort to be expected from a PC-controlled instrument.
The method: oxidation stability according to EN 14112
The determination of the oxidation stability according to EN 14112 is an accelerated oxidation test. The sample is held in a sealed reaction tube at a constant temperature of 110 °C while a continuous flow of air is passed through the sample. The fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) in the sample are oxidized to peroxides as the primarily oxidation products. After some time, the fatty acids are completely decomposed into the secondary oxidation products. In addition to volatile organic compounds, these are low-molecular organic acids, mainly formic and acetic acids. An air flow transports them to a measuring vessel containing distilled water as the absorption solution.
