ISCAR Thread Milling
ISCAR's Thread Milling System enables production of precision threads on CNC milling machines and machining centers using helical interpolation programs.
Features and Advantages:
1. May be used for internal or external threads that are not located on
the rotation axis of the workpiece.

3. Avoids chip jamming - a common occurrence when tapping.

In developing the new solid carbide thread milling cutters for small threads from M1,6 to M8, Walter Prototyp has not only expanded its product range, but it has also introduced a new milling strategy onto the market. A short cutting section of just three pitches means the thread is milled in a special helix curve.
This new working principle gives rise to a significant reduction in centrifugal forces, which in turn increases the tool life and process reliability.

Gigant-ic
The thread milling cutters of our new series Gigant-ic were developed with the intention to increase economic efficiency in the production of large and deep threads on modern CNC machines. The Gigant-ic programme is made in four different size variations, in order to achieve the best possible stability for the tools and with it trouble-free thread production. This aim is achieved thanks to a modular system which allows a perfect choice from different diameters and length types.

WELDON 3AF Finisher:
The 3AF is intended for finishing operations in aluminum and non-ferrous materials. These tools have a high shear 40 degree helix and come standard with a cylindrical margin to provide chatter resistant machining and superior finishes in all non-ferrous materials. Although intended for finishing, the 3AF has also proven itself in lighter roughing applications.
In addition to square end tools, we provide a broad radius program for our 3AF series.
The 3AF is available from stock as a bright tool or with Zirconium Nitride (ZrN) and Titanium Carbonitride (TiCN) coatings for improved performance and extended tool life. Special quotes and non-stocked coatings are available upon request.
WELDON 5SF Finisher:
We round out our Weldon Premium Carbide offering with the 5SF. This tool is intended for finishing operations, though it can also handle medium to light peripheral roughing, in steel and ferrous alloys. A full eccentric primary grind, sharp corners, a 40 degree helix to ensure proper chip evacuation and an odd number of flutes to reduce unwanted harmonics come together in our 5SF to deliver superior finishes in ferrous materials. The 5SF should be your first choice in premium carbide for finishing and medium to light peripheral roughing for steel and ferrous applications.
Our 5SF square end tools are complemented by a broad radius program.
Aluminum Titanium Nitride (AlTiN) and Titanium Carbonitride (TiCN) tools are available from stock in stub, standard, long and extra long lengths. Special quotes and non-stocked coatings are available upon request.

HSM is not simply high cutting speed. It should be regarded as a process where the operations are performed by very specific methods and on high precision production equipment.
HSM is not necessarily high spindle speed machining. Many HSM applications are performed at moderate spindle speeds and with large sized cutters.
HSM is performed in finishing on hardened steel at high speeds and feeds, often 4-6 times conventional cutting data.
HSM is High Productive Machining of small-sized components in roughing to finishing and in finishing and super-finishing in components of all sizes.
HSM will grow in importance the more net shape the component become.
HSM today, is mainly performed on taper 40 machines.

V440 Cutters
The V440 cutters have a robust design ideally suited for roughing and semi-finishing applications.
