CoroMill 490
Sandvik Coromant has launched the first of a new generation of shoulder mills, the CoroMill 490, which reduces machining costs by up to 25 per cent. CoroMill 490 is a high-precision tool for applications where reduced depths of cut and less final machining are required, as with the near net shape precision forgings and castings used by machine shops for higher productivity. Less, but more precise, work is needed on these castings and forgings. This is possible with the four edge insert design of CoroMill 490 and reduces substantially the cost per component for customers.
CoroMill 390
A new range of damped silent tools from Sandvik Coromant is bringing substantial performance benefits to complement the existing range of long and slender CoroMill® 390 milling cutters. Integrated dampening offers more efficient, vibration free machining to improve the performance of cutting tools working in deep cavities and pockets. The stabilization of the machining process in this way provides wider machine utilization for face and shoulder milling, especially in long overhangs and will boost the capabilities of long reaching tools.Reducing vibration in often tricky situations provides the confidence needed to increase the cutting parameters without compromising work piece quality. This enables the achievement of greater machining success with the CoroMill® 390 - including improved component surface finish and longer tool life.

CoroMill 390 is the most versatile facemill on the market for better accessibility. It offers an opportunity to reach the best productivity for each specific type of operation - just by combining the most suitable cutter pitch with the most relevant insert geometry and grade.
CoroMill 390 is the first choice cutter for versatile facemilling.

RESISTOR PEARL is the latest up-to-date milling technique from Carmon:
PEARL coating is the combination of a layer of hard coating (TiCN) with a lubricating layer (Movic). The first layer gives, with its hardness (3.500 HV), a strong protection against wear, while the lubricating layer reduces friction, thus achieving excellent chip removal. Particularly suitable for stainless steel machining, PEARL is now being applied on the Carmon premium quality ripper cutters of the RESISTOR series (ASP2052).
We exhibit at MACH-TOOL 08 in Poznan (Poland) from 9th to 12th June 08. We look forward to wellcome you in our stand no.38 in the Hall 9.

WhizCut will change the way thread mills are used today by introducing the new WhizThrill. The WhizThrill deburring thread mills take thread milling to the next level. Users of thread taps and thread mills have for years been battling problems of getting burrs when threading holes. This has resulted in an extra operation where a deburring tool has to be used resulting in increased production time and cost. A WhizThrill together with the WhizCut software does all of this in one single move giving a perfect result.
WhizThills are produced with the best carbide and coating combination to be in forefront of technology both when it comes to tool design and material. We also offer a wide range of micro thread mills with extra tool strength.
