Applications
PCD tools used for trimming circuit boards have reduced part waste, improved quality and decreased line downtime.
The automotive industry takes full advantage of RobbJack PCDs in machining silicon aluminum transmissions. Our unique “through-tool-coolant” PCD end mills work round-the-clock with no tool change downtime.
The aerospace industry has discovered the value of PCD’s long life in the manufacture of aircraft components made of carbon-fiber composites.
At RobbJack, we’ve made it easier than ever to try PCD tools. Our line of in-stock PCD end mills is available in singles, at prices normally only offered in quantity.
We make PCD tools in diameters from 3/32" to 2", and LOCs and OALs in all sizes – stub, standard and extra length, in square end, corner radii and ball end. Three-flute tools are available for certain applications. We also make tapers, form tools and tools with “through-tool coolant.” If you don’t see or are not sure what you need call us – we can help.

The new Protostar Flash is a high-performance tool for economical roughing in the 2.5D and 3D range with low cutting depth and very high feed rates. It is suitable for machining alloyed and unalloyed steels.
Extremely tough: the new Protostar Qmax with optimised geometry for maximum material removal rates in sophisticated materials.
Protostar Flash
The all-new end face geometry enables significantly higher tooth feed rates fz for faster material removal rates
High-quality TiAlN coating for maximum tool life
Since cutting takes place exclusively on the end face of the tool, the machine spindle is subjected almost only to axial forces that are easily absorbed
Protostar Qmax
Solid carbide milling cutter with knurled splines reduces cutting forces and generates short chips
Internal cooling aids chip removal and increases process reliability
Very good roughed surface due to improved roughing profile
All tools have the latest TiAlN coating offering advantages for dry and wet machining

OSG is pleased to present our first-class line of Cobalt (HSS-Co) end mills. Our HSS-Co end mills have a higher hardness range than regular High-Speed Steel (HSS) end mills due to an 8% cobalt content, which results in increased tool life and overall performance.
HSS-Co end mills are designed to mill difficult-to-machine materials, and are more forgiving than carbide tooling. Where carbide has a tendency to break or chip in less rigid operations, HSS-Co is ideal for such applications.
OSG uses a premium HSS-Co substrate, while some competitor products utilize a more basic grade of HSS, resulting in reduced hardness and a decreased selection of materials for which their tools can be effective.
To view our wide selection of HSS-Co end mills, please visit our Online Catalog.
