Stellram's most versatile cutter. A strong multi-purpose cutter excellent in high temperature alloys and stainless steels using 4mm or 6mm octagonal inserts for up to a 0.445" depth-of-cut.
7745 VS Series
Excellent in tool steels and cast irons. Exceptionally thick square inserts handle tough conditions. Design allows for recessing operations.
Stellram has a range of tools for use on Swiss Auto type lathes with small cross section shanks from 0.375” (10mm) square to 0.750” (20mm) square. Grades and geometries are available to handle the specific feeds and speeds associated with these machines.
Some other features of this program are:
- Nose radii starting at 0 for excellent surface finishes and sharp internal corners
- New –62 geometry and new PVD technology
- Equal shank and tool tip dimensions on all toolholders for programming ease
- Boring bars with standard coolant holes to aid in chip evacuation
- Part-off inserts from 1.6mm/0.063” to 3.0mm/.118” widths
- Integral shank cutoff and grooving holders for maximum rigidity
- Back turning holders and inserts for turning behind a shoulder eliminates additional operations
- Tungsten Carbide reinforced boring bars to eliminate chattering
A new concept from Sandvik Coromant is set to provide significant performance benefits in profile machining; the CoroTurn TR® offers a more stable clamping and improved security via a robust T-rail interface between insert and holder.
Profiling operations place extreme pressures on the tool, and conventional clamping designs often leave the insert open movement during machining which reduces component tolerance and quality.
To combat this, the T-rail design uses horizontal and vertical rails to provide a stronger support for the insert in the tool holder to reduce insert movement, leading to the production of higher quality, closer tolerance components. Further stability can also be achieved via a long insert screw which reaches deep into the holder to clamp the insert firmly in place.
The two cutting edge design utilises optimized geometries and facilitates the requirements of good chip evacuation, needed to offer more continuous, uninterrupted machining.
The CoroTurn TR® is designed for turning operations using -V (35۫) and -D (55۫) style inserts and is well suited to medium to finishing applications and the operational demands of modern multi-task machining.
The hole is drilled using a commercially available standard drill bit.
Then, insatallation is made with a manual or an automatic special tap for fitting wire thread insert.

The Recoil range of power tooling ensures consistent high volume thread insert installation for a variety of applications. Recoil powered installation tools may be supplied for use with either a compressed air supply or via a stabilised low voltage power supply to suit your particular requirements
TYROLIT has developed grinding wheels for the economic production of high-quality cutting edges. These provide the required cutting edge quality with high stock removal rates, wheel life and are easy to dress.
Not only the choice of the specification also the trueing and dressing are important influential factors which are sometimes underrated.
Trueing, which is usually done with vitrified SiC wheels, produces the geometry and flatness of the grinding wheel faces.
Afterwards, dressing with a vitrified aluminium oxide dressing stick is necessary to expose the diamond grit.
