FNL – for an optimum connection of fieldbus and Ethernet networks up to 100 Mbit/s.
FNL allows the connection to all PROFIBUS DP networks based on RS485 (up to 12 Mbit/s) and supports DP Master class 1/2 on the basis of DP and DPV1 services as well as DP Slave.
The access to FNL is carried out through a TCP/IP socket interface. The interface is operating system independent, completely unfolded and because of its quickness convincing.
The Ethernet based operation mode as MODBUS TCP/IP Slave provides easy integration of FNL as PROFIBUS DP Master into a large number of visualisation and control systems. The PROFIBUS DP based diagnostics and IO data are dynamically compiled into the MODBUS TCP/IP structure and do not have to be configured additionally.
OPC Server
The OPC Server directly connects FNL to all OPC-client-capable Windows applications. OPC is supported by all common SCADA, control, visualization, and process control systems.
Programming Interface
The FNL TCP/IP socket interface provides the exchange of the DP Slaves' process and diagnostics data as well as all DP/DPV1 Master class 1/2 and DP Slave services. So FNL can be easily integrated in any operation systems.
FDT 1.2 Communication DTM
FDT allows the standardized configuration of fieldbus devices via different bus systems like HART-Bus, Foundation Fieldbus, PROFIBUS DP/PA or Ethernet.
LabVIEW Driver
The driver can be integrated in a simple manner into every LabVIEW version due to its standard TCP/IP socket interface. Ethernet and PROFIBUS DP configuration are generated via full graphical tools, included in the delivery. The package also includes LabVIEW sample VIs incl. source code.

The Anybus- X-gateway® family consists of over 180 certified and proven industrial gateways connecting almost any two industrial networks. The X-gateway is a simple, easy to use gateway connection real-time Ethernet networks to almost any fieldbus.
Real-time Ethernet protocols supported:
• EtherNet/IP scanner or adapter
• PROFINet IO Device
• Modbus TCP slave
• EtherCAT slave
• HTTP Server
• FTP Server
• Telnet Server
• SMTP Client
Fieldbusses supported:
• Profibus master or slave
• DeviceNet scanner or adapter
• AS-interface master
• CANopen slave
• ControlNet adapter
• CC-Link slave
• Modbus RTU slave
• Modbus Plus slave
• Interbus slave
• FIPIO slave
Slave to Slave Gateway:
Many applications need to take two disparate independent networks with each having its own master control and allow them to exchange data. This happens where two PLCs need to exchange information. The X-gateway helps to accomplish this by acting as an I/O slave device on the fieldbus and Ethernet networks. Each master/client writes to the output table of the X-gateway on its network and then the X-gateway maps this data to the input table of the opposite fieldbus or Ethernet network where it can be easily read by the other master/client.
Master to Slave Gateway:
Many applications needs to interface field I/O devices to a controller that has a different fieldbus or Ethernet protocol from the I/O. In these cases, the X-gateway serves as a fieldbus or Ethernet master on one side while acting as a fieldbus or Ethernet slave on the other. The I/O data is polled from the field devices then mapped into the I/O table of the controller.

Anybus Communicator® is a family of certified and proven gateways, connecting automation devices via their serial interface to all major real-time industrial Ethernet networks. The Communicator enables industrial devices without a network interface to connect to all major real-time Ethernet standards including EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus-TCP and EtherCAT.
The Communicator performs an intelligent conversion between the serial protocol of the automation device and real-time industrial Ethernet network.
The Anybus Communicator supports RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 serial electrical signals without any change in hardware. This allows for connectivity to a broad range of serial devices. Typical serial applications include variable frequency drives, sensors, actuators, human machine interfaces, barcode readers, RFID readers and industrial scales among others. It is much more than just a standard tunneling gateway and provides full flexibility and extended connectivity options.
The Anybus Communicator is configured using a very simple Windows™ based software package that requires that the user simply fill in the blanks to match the protocol of the serial device it is connected to. Applications that require conversions from serial Modbus to real-time Ethernet protocols are even easier as a built-in software wizard guides the user through each step of the configuration process.

AS-Interface networks up to 62 field devices onto a single pair of wires that delivers both signal and power. Actuator Sensor Interface, or AS-Interface, was developed by a group of sensor manufacturers and introduced into the market in 1994. Since that time, it has become the de facto standard for discrete sensors in process industries throughout the world. AS-Interface may be used in hazardous process environments using explosion proof, tray cable, nonincendive and for nonincendive wiring protection concepts.
