General description :
Historically, the creation of glass for high-performance liquid crystal displays required the use of heavy metals. Removing those substances from the manufacturing process was a technical challenge that some thought insurmountable. But Corning believed that it could be done. With existing environmental regulations tightening, and new regulations on the horizon, our researchers anticipated the needs of customers by designing the revolutionary glass composition known as EAGLE XG TM . Introduced in 2006, EAGLE XG is the industrys first LCD glass to contain no added arsenic, antimony, barium or halides.
This award-winning glass composition offers low density, high chemical durability, advanced thermal properties, and a pristine surface ideal for the manufacture of large, high-resolution displays. By meeting all existing and impending environmental regulations, EAGLE XG helps Cornings customers future-proof their products. As a result, this revolutionary glass composition has gained rapid acceptance from panel makers around the world.
Increasingly, today's consumers are choosing LCD TV for more than just its crisp, vivid digital picture and sleek design. General description :
Consumers expect their multifunctional mobile handsets to offer advanced features, such as higher resolution displays and lower power consumption. An increasing number of these high-performance applications are being manufactured using low temperature polysilicon (LTPS) technology. Recognizing that there was no glass substrate fully optimized for LTPS applications, Corning filled the void by developing Jade™ glass for advanced display.
Jade supports the many advantages that LTPS brings to advanced mobile devices, including better electron mobility and higher aperture ratio, which results in brighter displays and reduced energy consumption. Produced using Corning's proprietary fusion process, Jade provides LTPS customers a flat, pristine surface with exceptional surface quality and dimensional control. Jade is the first glass for LTPS that will be used "as-formed," with no secondary heat treatment or polishing needed. This new glass also offers an intrinsic thermal stability, built into the glass through its chemistry. Jade accommodates tighter design rules and enables customers to integrate more components directly onto the glass.
Corning is already at work on new compositions with even higher strain points and temperature tolerances. In addition, Jade will help enable emerging display technologies such as organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) - and when used together with Corning's Vita™ hermetic sealing solution for OLEDs, will optimize OLED performance. As a result, Jade glass for advanced display will play a key role in the production of mobile devices, both now and in the future.

The Nd-M15-KB and Nd-M17-KB units are rugged, fully integrated 15.1" and 17" color LCD drawer monitors with keyboard and PS/2 mouse pad designed to fit in 19" rack mount chassis. When fully stowed, the system measures a mere 1.75" (1U) in height. The large 15.1" and 17" color flat panel LCD displays feature resolutions of 1024x768 and 1280x1024 respectively, while achieving true color graphics. Interfacing to the computer is easy with the supplied cables for keyboard, video and mouse. Its rugged, slim design makes this unit ideal for industrial and telecommunications applications.

Large Format Digital Signage Displays by Planar
LB3251W, 32" ultra-thin digital signage display can be chain-connected from display to display with fiber optics interfacing option. It is ideal to be placed inside train cars, where space is very limited, thanks to the thin design: even with safety glass, it is only 20 mm thick.
The maximum brightness of Planar LB3251W digital signage display is 600 cd/m2 and the dimensions are 520 mm x 812 mm. Display resolution is 1366 x 768 and typical contrast ratio 1000:1. Standard video input option is LVDS – VGA, the product is also available with optional Fiber Optics interfacing. The LB3251W is an ideal product for retail as well as transportation environments.
