The REALI-SLIM® open thin section bearings product line consists of seven series. These thin section bearings range in bore diameters from 1.000 inch to 40.000 inches. Series range from .187 x .187 inch to 1.000 x 1.000 inch in cross section. Open bearings are available from stock in three configurations (Type A, C & X).
We can provide internal fit up, lubricants, separators and other features to meet the most demanding specifications. To obtain corrosion resistance, consider using KAYDON stainless steel REALI-SLIM® or ENDURA-SLIM® series of bearings. ENDURAKOTE® plating provides corrosion protection equal to or better than a full AISI 440C stainless steel bearing and can be supplied with very quick delivery.
REALI-SLIM® bearings are available with various separator options to space the rolling elements uniformly and prevent contact between them. Separator types available include: continuous ring "snap-over pocket", continuous ring circular pocket, formed wire, toroid, PTFE spacers, and spacer ball separators. See Section 4 of Catalog 300 for complete details.

RKB four row taper roller bearings are installed as complete assemblies and take axial loads in addition to heavy radial loads.
For quick roll changes, they have a loose fit on the roll necks, but there is the disadvantage that the inner rings wander on their seatings causing wear. To reduce these negative effects they have a helical groove.
RKB produces these bearings in two base designs, TQO and TQI configuration.
The TQO type is composed in its standard configuration of two double cone assemblies, one central double cup, two single cups and factory adjusted cup and cone spacers.
Lubrication grooves and oil holes are provided.
The TQI type is composed in its standard configuration of one double cone assembly, two single cone assemblies and two double cups.
A four separated individual single cups configuration is also available.
It is also available the version with tapered bore (designation TQIT and TQITE).
In RKB sealed TQOS type sets, they have been developed to improve the lubrication in service.
The seals are produced in several designs depending on bearing size and application needs; the most common are the integrated lateral unitized seals (european version), the integrated lateral narrow seals (compact seal concept) and the loose flange lateral unitized seals (japanese version).
RKB seals have been redesigned in new type to increase seal durability and efficiency: these seals optimize the available space.
Phosphate treatment for rings, rollers and spacers (suffix PT4) is also available.
RKB produces special executions of TQO made of four single cups and two double cone assemblies (design without spacers).

Needle roller thrust bearings can support heavy axial loads, are insensitive to shock loads and provide stiff bearing arrangements which require a minimum of axial space. They are single direction bearings and can only accommodate axial loads acting in one direction. Particularly compact bearing arrangements can be made, taking up no more space than a conventional thrust washer, if the faces of adjacent machine components can serve as raceways for a needle roller and cage thrust assembly. For applications where adjacent components cannot serve as raceways, the assemblies can also be combined with washers of various designs.

These bearings can take over heavy axial loads and simultaneously they can accommodate radial loads with values of up to 55% of the axial load magnitude.
Because of their self-aligning capability, they absorb the bending deviation of the shaft.
RKB spherical thrust bearings have a machined brass cage guided by a sleeve clamped in the shaft washer bore (suffix EM). The shaft washer and the cage with rollers form a non-separable unit.
The overall dimensions of the spherical roller thrust bearings are in accordance with ISO 104:1979, so that they are interchangeable with different designs, even the earlier ones (suffix B).
Suggested oil lubrication and minimum load dependent on speed has to be taken into account for satisfactory running.

Axial spherical roller bearings are single row, self-aligning roller bearings. They comprise solid shaft and housing washers and asymmetrical barrel rollers with cages. The cage holds the roller and cage assembly together with the shaft locating washer. The bearings can be dismantled. The parts of the bearings can be fitted separately.
Axial spherical roller bearings can support very high axial loads and permit relatively high speeds. Since the raceways are at an angle to the bearing axis, the bearings can also support radial loads.

Excel series-Spherical Roller Thrust Bearings
The raceway of housing washer of this bearing type is spherical with the center of the radius located on the bearing axis. The design provides self-alignment capability to the bearing. The contact angle () is approximately 45° enabling the bearing to support axial load and a small to moderate amount of radial load.
This bearing type is often used for injection molding machines, crane hooks and other large machines.

RKB program includes the single direction type, the double direction type and the screw-down special type.
RKB T.R.T bearings are manufactured in two constructive versions.
The rollers are radially guided by the rib of one washer (suffix ZB).
These bearings can also be produced in the version without the cage (suffix V).
The most common series are T, TK and 351 type.
Bearings made of case hardened carburizing alloy steels can be also produced.
RKB bearings are used in the rolling mill applications associated.
RKB produces double direction taper roller thrust bearings in two constructive versions, either with central plane shaft washer and taper raceways in both housing washers or with both plane housing washers and taper raceways in the central shaft washer.
A special sleeve is arranged, so no special adjustment of the bearing is required.
As the double direction taper roller bearings are usually mounted with loose fit on the roll neck, the shaft washer is normally provided with one or two locating slots that, engaged with key-way or similar devices, prevent the shaft washer from rotating on the seating.
The most common series are 350, 351, 353 and TTK type.
RKB screw-down bearings are a special design of the single direction taper roller thrust bearings used for rolling mill arrangements.
They are generally produced with case hardened carburizing alloy steels and with full complement of long rollers of large diameter.
The dimensions of taper roller thrust bearings are not standardized.
The main boundary dimensions are produced according to ISO 199/1979

The outer ring of double row cylindrical roller bearings has no guiding ribs and therefore these bearings cannot bear any forces in axial direction. Two rows of cylindrical rollers are guided by three ribs on the inner ring.
These bearings are characterized by their high rigidity and load-carrying capacity.

Four-row tapered Roller Bearings have characteristics similar to 2 double-row tapered roller bearings mounted side-by-side. The performance of this type of bearing is almost identical with double-row Tapered Roller Bearing, but the bearing can be subject to larger radial load than double-row Tapered Roller Bearing however its limit speed is a little lower.
Four-row tapered roller bearings are used successfully worldwide for rolling mill bearing arrangements where rolling speeds are slow to moderate. Because of their design they are able to take up those axial loads which occur in such applications in addition to radial loads and generally no separate thrust bearings are required in such arrangements.
Four-row tapered roller bearings, because of their design, must be installed as a complete bearing in the chocks. To enable quick roll changes to be made they must therefore have a loose fit on the roll necks. Loose fits have the disadvantage that the inner rings wander on their seatings under the prevailing load conditions causing wear to the seatings which normally have a lower hardness than the rings.

Tapered roller thrust bearings allow for a very compact bearing arrangement which can carry very heavy axial loads, and provide high shock-load resistance in a variety of applications.
