Spherical roller bearings feature a large load rating and self-aligning capability. This type of bearing is suitable for low- or medium speed applications which involve heavy or impact loading.
Spherical roller bearings are self-aligning, double-row, combination radial and thrust bearings. They use a spherical or crowned roller as the rolling element. The outer ring contains a spherical race which allows for some misalignment of the shaft and housing. Spherical roller bearings are unequalled in their capacity for high loads and tolerance to shock loads, but have limited speed capabilities. They perform consistently, even under conditions of extreme speed, application-specific stress, and marginal lubrication. The cage of a spherical roller bearing provides high dimensional accuracy and functionality. According to some estimates, spherical roller bearings have twice the running life of conventional bearings.

Invented by McGill engineers over 30 years ago, SPHERE-ROL bearings utilize a single row of spherical rollers which provide a wide variety of advantages.High capacities, high limiting speeds, longer life under more misalignment and protection from contaminants - All these features allow more design flexibility than typically possible with ordinary two-row designs.
|
|
Spherical roller bearings are inherently self-aligning and very robust. The two rows of rollers make the bearings able to carry heavy loads. Invented by SKF and refined over the years, the present SKF range of spherical roller bearings includes a wide range of sizes of several ISO Dimension Series and also includes special designs, for example, for vibrating screens and similar applications. More recently a range of sealed spherical roller bearings has been added to the assortment. Split spherical roller bearings are usually based on the standard bearings but can be customized as required.

The rarceway of housing washer of this bearing type is spherical with the center of the radius lacated on the bearing axis. The design provides self- alignment capability to the bearing. The Contact angle is approximately 45° enabling the bearing to support axial load and a small to moderate amount of radial load. NACHI Spherical Roller Thrust bearings can sustain high loads at low-to-moderate speeds.
Because of the large load capacity and self-aligning characteristics, this bearing type is often used for injection molding machines, crane hooks and other large machines. Cages are made from machined, high-strength brass or pressed steel.

Tapered roller bearings comprise solid inner and outer rings with tapered raceways and tapered rollers with cages. The bearings are not self-retaining. As a result, the inner ring together with the rollers and cage can be fitted separately from the outer ring. Tapered roller bearings can support axial loads from one direction as well as high radial loads. They must normally be axially adjusted against a second bearing fitted in a mirror image arrangement.
|
|
Tapered roller bearings are generally of separable design and have tapered cone and cup raceway between which tapered roller are arranged, their design makes tapered roller bearings particularly suitable for carrying combined (radial and axial ) load.
Our tapered roller bearings have single, double and four-rows. we manufacture both metric and inch size tapered roller bearings.

Tapered roller bearings are designed such that cup, cone and rollers have tapered surfaces whose apexes converge at a common point on the bearing axis. Along with metric series bearings, inch series bearings are also available. This type of bearing is suitable for applications that involve heavy or impact loading.
Tapered roller bearings consist of an inner ring (cone), an outer ring (cup), a cage and rollers which are profiled to distribute the load evenly. They have high radial and axial (thrust) load capacities at low to intermediate speeds. Tapered roller bearings are available in single-row, two-row and four-row designs. With single-row bearings, the thrust load capacity is about 60% of the radial capacity. Double-row bearings have a greater radial load capacity and can handle thrust loads from both directions. The rollers can be configured so that the contact lines to the races converge or diverge towards the axis of rotation. Diverging double-row bearings increase the rigidity of the shaft mounting, but converging bearings do not. Other configurations for double-row bearings feature a single outer ring and two inner rings, or two outer rings and a single inner ring. Four-row tapered roller bearings consist of four rows of alternating converging and diverging rollers.

|
Single row tapered roller bearings are separable radial bearings:
- Suitable for high radial loads and thrust loads (in one direction)
- Take up tilting moments
- When paired, can take up thrust loads in both directions
- Standards: DIN 616, DIN 720
- Series: 30200, 30300, 31300, 32000, 32200, 32300, 33000, 33100, 33200
- Application examples: gear boxes, pumps, compressors, etc.
Tapered roller bearings, IKOS design are sealed, ready-for-use, non-separable bearing units.

The inner and outer ring raceways and rollers of this type of bearing are made with a taper so that the planes of the surfaces of the raceways and roller axis meet at a point. The rollers are guided by the cone (inner ring) back-face rib. A single-row Tapered roller bearing can support a combined radial and axial load. If either a radial load or bi-directional axial load is to be carried, a pair of bearings must be used in a "face-to-face" or "back-to-back" mounting.
Tapered roller bearings are separable into the components: outer ring, inner ring and roller assembly. The non-separable inner ring and roller assembly is called the "cone", and the outer ring is called the "cup". Internal clearance is established during mounting by the axial positioning of the cone relative to the cup. This bearing type can be used in a preload situation to obtain higher rigidity and better running accuaracy of the shaft.

Since the rolling elements in cylindrical roller bearings make line contact with raceways, these bearings can accommodate heavy radial loads . The rollers are guided by ribs on either the inner or outer ring ,therefore these bearings aer also suitablefor high speed applications.Furthermore, cylindrical roller bearings are separable ,and relatively easy to install and disassemble even when interference fits are required.
Double and multiple row bearing arrangments are also available.
Single row cylindrical roller bearings can accommodate heavy radial loads and high speeds. They are manufactured in several different designs, the main difference being in the configuration of the flanges .The most popular are the NU,N,NJ and NUP designs.

Plastic does not necessarily mean light duty. In fact, many all-plastic bearings found in a variety of applications such as mobile satellite antenna, are capable of carrying loads in excess of 150kg. The cost effective and lightweight qualities of plastic, coupled with internal steel workings, mean that loads of up to 1000kg are possible whilst maintaining the fl exibility and mass reduction afforded by the use of plastics. BNL’s unrivalled knowledge of plastic bearing technology enables us to choose the right combination of materials for the job.

Spherical roller bearings are double row,self-reraining units comprising solid outer ring with a concave raceway, solid inner rings and barrel rollers with cages. The inner rings with cylindrial or tapered bores. The symmetrical barrel rollers freely align themselves to the concave outer ring raceway. As a result, shaft deflections and mislignments of the bearing seats are compensated.

Tapered roller bearings are designed so the tapered vertex of the raceway surfaces of the inner and outer rings and rollers converge at one point on the certerline of the bearing. Due to this design feature, rollers move along the center of theraceway surfaces. The tapered rollers are guided by the compound force of the inner and oter raceway surfaces which keep them pressed up against the large rib on the raceway surfaces which keep them pressed up against the large rib on the inner ring.A large variety of these bearings, including single, double, and four row arrangements, are in use both in metric and inch series.

Cylindrical roller bearings
Cylindrical rollers have linear contact with the raceway, and the bearings can carry heavier load. Applications are found in situations characterized by heavy load and shock load and also high rotation speed.
The N type and NU type bearings can be movable along the shaft. They can adapt the position changes between the shaft and housing caused by the thermal expansion or the mounting erro and are most suitable for free end shafts.
NJ and NF types can accept certain axial load in one direction, and NUP type can accept certain axial load in two directions.
Inner ring and outer ring can be separable, and they are conbenient to mount and dismount.
The rigidity in carrying radial load in the NNU and NN types make them applicable for machine tool spindles.
FC, DCD and FCDP type can carry comparatively heave radial load and are mainly applied for mill rolls.
Applications of these bearings are mostly found in middle-sized and large-sized motors, electricity generators, internal comubustion engines, machine tool spindles, decelerarion devices, unloading and lifting machines and other industral machines.

Single row cylindrical roller bearings are manufactured in three kinds of basic design: NU, N and NJ. The cylindrical rollers of NU design are axially guided between outer ring guiding ribs, whereas in the N design between inner ring guiding ribs. Both N and NU designs allow mutual displacement of rings axially in both directions and therefore can carry no axial load.
The NJ design has two guiding ribs on outer ring and one rib on inner ring, thus it can accommodate axial force to some extent in one direction. Compared with ball bearings of identical size the cylindrical roller bearings have in average a 60 per cent higher basic load rating and are therefore suitable for high radial loads and are able to operate at high rotational speeds (Unlike ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings are generally lubricated with oil).

|
Double-row tapered Roller Bearing scan replace two single-row tapered roller bearings mounted back-to-back or face-to-face when the required capacity exceeds that of single-row tapered roller bearings. If the tapered roller bearing contact lines converge away from the bearing axis, the bearing is more tolerant to misalignment.
If they converge toward the axis, the tapered roller bearing has higher resistance to moment loading, but lower tolerance for misalignment. Their main use is in gearboxes, hoisting equipment, rolling mills and machines used in the mining industry e.g. tunnelling machines.

Needle roller bearings are roller bearings with slender cylindrical rollers, they have the highest load capacity for a given radial space of all rolling-element bearings. This makes these bearings ideal for applications where radial space is limited but high radial load carrying capacity is required. Needle roller bearings are also suitable for applications with high rotational speed but cannot accommodate axial loads.
All needle bearings are variations of two basic designs. The first needle bearing design; full complement, has a full complement of needles and contains no retainer. The second needle bearing design; caged needle contains a retainer or cage for roller guidance and spacing. Caged needle bearings have smaller roller complements and lower load capacities than full-complement bearings.
Needle bearings have the advantage of a higher speed capacity; retainers prevent high-velocity rubbing between adjacent needles and provide more effective roller guidance
(Needle bearings are usually lubricated with grease, but oil or oil-mist lubrication is preferred for heavy-duty or high-speed applications. Many light-duty needle bearings never require re-lubrication, but high loads or speeds demand it).

There are two kinds of spherical roller bearing, one has a cylindrical bore, the others has a tapered bore (K). Spherical bearings offer an unequalled combination of high load capacity, high tolerance to shock loads, and self-aligning ability but they are limited by speed. Spherical rollers are put between the spherical raceway on the outer ring and the two grooves on the inner ring of the bearing.
The symmetrical barrel rollers freely align themselves to the concave outer ring raceway. As a result, shaft deflections and misalignments of the bearing seats are compensated. Double row spherical roller bearings can accommodate high radial and simultaneously also axial loads in both directions. These bearings are massively widespread, particularly in applications where high load accommodation is required and their self-alignment advantage can be best utilized.
It is particularly suitable for metallurgy, mining, petroleum, cement....etc
(Vibrators, shakers, conveyors, speed reducers, transmissions, and other heavy machinery)

Single-row tapered Roller Bearings are the most widely used tapered roller bearings. They have a high radial capacity and a thrust capacity of about 60% of radial capacity.
The exact percentage depends on the contact angle of the tapered roller bearing. Variations within the type include tapered bores for frequent removal, pin cages and hollow rollers for higher capacity, and steep roller angles for higher thrust capacity.

Axial needle roller bearings
Axial needle roller bearings are units comprising axial needle roller and cage assemblies and axial bearing washers with a centring spigot. They can be combined with drawn cup needle roller bearings and needle roller bearings. The axial running surface for the needle roller and cage assembly must be hardened and ground.
Axial needle roller and cage assemblies
Axial needle roller and cage assemblies comprise plastic or metal axial cages with integrated needle rollers and have a very small axial section height. They can support high axial forces in one direction. Radial loads must be supported by separate means. Axial needle roller and cage assemblies require hardened and ground axial running surfaces for use as raceways.
|
|
Cylindrical roller thrust bearings are designed to operate under heavy axial loads at moderate speeds. They are relatively insensitive to shock loads, are very stiff and require little axial space. As standard they are available as single direction bearings and can only accommodate axial loads acting in one direction.
Cylindrical roller thrust bearings are of separable design, the individual components can be mounted separately. These bearings do not permit any angular misalignment between shaft and housing nor any errors of alignment between the support surfaces in the housing and on the shaft.
|
|
Axial cylindrical roller bearings
Axial cylindrical roller bearings comprise axial cylindrical roller and cage assemblies and shaft and housing locating washers.
The bearings have particularly small axial section height, have high load carrying capacity and high rigidity and can support axial forces in one direction.
Axial cylindrical roller and cage assemblies
Axial cylindrical roller and cage assemblies comprise axial cages with one or two rows of cylindrical rollers. The cage assemblies have particularly small axial section height, high load carrying capacity and high rigidity. They can support axial force from one direction and act as non-locating bearings in a radial direction. Axial cage assemblies are combined with housing or shaft locating washers or are integrated directly in the adjacent construction. If they are used without
