Single-row tapered Roller Bearings are the most widely used tapered roller bearings. They have a high radial capacity and a thrust capacity of about 60% of radial capacity.
The exact percentage depends on the contact angle of the tapered roller bearing. Variations within the type include tapered bores for frequent removal, pin cages and hollow rollers for higher capacity, and steep roller angles for higher thrust capacity.

NSK manufactures a wide range of metric and inch size tapered roller bearings. These bearings comprise of a loose outer ring cup and an inner ring cone assembly with rollers and retaining cage.
These bearings are capable of taking high radial loads and axial loads in one direction. In addition, the HR series incorporates rollers of increased size and number giving higher load capacity.
Tapered roller bearings are generally mounted in pairs with the proper internal clearance being obtained by adjustment of the axial distance between the cups or cones of the two bearings. As well as single row tapered roller bearings, 2 and 4 row versions are available from NSK to support axial loads in either direction.
NSK tapered roller bearings are normally supplied in through hardened high carbon chromium steel. Alternatively, NSK can supply these bearings case hardened or, for more arduous conditions, in a range of advanced patented materials including High-TF and Super-TF. Please contact NSK for more details.

Tapered roller bearings comprise solid inner and outer rings with tapered raceways and tapered rollers with cages. The bearings are not self-retaining. As a result, the inner ring together with the rollers and cage can be fitted separately from the outer ring. Tapered roller bearings can support axial loads from one direction as well as high radial loads. They must normally be axially adjusted against a second bearing fitted in a mirror image arrangement.

Transmission bearings in race cars normally only attract attention when they fail. So apart from absolute reliability, they also have to provide minimum friction, low weight and, in some applications, as many integrated functions as possible. Custom-made designs to meet specific requirements offer an ideal combination of these properties.
CEROBEAR hybrid transmission bearings are available as several rolling bearing types with balls, rollers, needles or tapered rollers, made of silicon nitride. A design that is matched to the stress and the choice of suitable materials helps save weight compared to standard bearings. Customized flanges, anti-rotation devices, threads, splines or oil feeds allow an optimum connection to the surrounding structure.

Thin-section crossed roller bearing ,because of its vertical arrangement of tapered roller with a 90°V in the deep groove roller surface ,compared to other kinds of bearings ,has increased rigidity to a large extent .A set of crossed roller bearing can support radial load, axial load and loading moment from all directions .At the same time, the inner and outer ring dimensions of the bearing were miniaturized as much as possible. Especially for the extremely thin is access to the limit. It can be used in, such as, the arthritis or the rotary location of the industry robots, rotary working table of the machine work center, revolution location of machine hand , accurate rotary working table , medical machinery , dispensing mechanism , and IC manufacturing installation. The PRS thin section crossed roller bearing has two kinds of structures, one is dividing in the inner ring, the other is dividing in the outer ring .It consists three product series. There are interval separators between the vertical arrangement rollers in order to avoid tilting and the increase of mutual friction and rotating torque. It has excellent rotating precision. And we also can regulate the bearing clearance. Even if we exert additional pre-pressure on it, it still can carry out rotating movements at highest precision. Their installment are comparatively simple, too.

IKO Crossed Roller Bearings are compact bearings with their rollers alternately crossed at right angles to each other between inner and outer rings. They can take loads from any directions at the same time such as radial, thrust and moment loads. The rollers make line-contact with raceway surfaces, and , therefore, elastic deformation due to bearing loads is very small. These bearings are widely used in the rotating parts of industrial robots, machine tools, medical equipment, etc., which require compactness, high rigidity and high rotational accuracy. In addition, bearings made of stainless steel or those with inner and outer rings provided with mounting holes are also available on request. Please contactIKO.

In recent years the company had successfully developed a special kind of accurate bearings which have no clearance. One of them called positive clearance hollow cylindrical roller eccentric bearing which specially developed for a domestic printing machine enterprise has been successfully applied to double-color machines and four-color machines. Through the three years experiment, we got the satisfied effect and consistent praise from all the printing machine consumers.
The revolution accuracy of the cylinder influences the printing quality to a large extent .There are so many factors. The clearance of drum supporting is the widest influence among them. When the clearance exists in the supporting ,the instant centerline of the drum is revolves the ideal centerline to do rocks movement. This rocks which lead to the peak-to-peak value oversized will be considered as the prime factors to produce the printing ink thick stick ,the double image ,and the deformation and unclear printing.
The cylinder supporting gap includes the internal clearance of bearing, the fit clearance for bearing and the clearance between the bearing ring (or eccentric ring )and the wall space of printers, and so on .To reduce the advantage of rolling bearing ,the leading printer manufacturers together with the bearing enterprises to design special precision bearing with small clearance .For example ,the printer named “Hai Debao” takes advantage of matching precision needle bearings to achieve the micron level clearance ; some printers manufacturers adopt the radial snap bearing ,like the angular contact ball bearings or the taper roller bearings ,through axial pre-load to eliminate the bearing clearance.

The rollers type of cylindrical roller bearing, with a larger load capacity and rigidity than the point contact of angular contact bearing, belongs to line contact. It usually conducts by the two ribs of bearing ring. The rollers and the conducted bearing rings combined with one unit. Then the unit can be separated from another bearing rings. It is called separate bearing. The mounting and dismounting are comparatively convenient. It can relatively install inner ring and outer ring. Especially when the interference fit between inner and outer ring ,axis and shell are required ,its advantage can be easily presented.
This kind of bearing usually can be used to rely on radial load (it need special custom-made if they are required to sustain axial load) . Comparing to the same dimension s of deep groove bearing ,cylindrical bearing has more heavier capacity to sustain radial load . Its limit speed rating is access to deep groove bearing . The cylindrical roller bearing produced by PRS including five products series, single-row ,double-row ,four-row and such regular types .At the same time we can provide special type to develop and manufacturer according to customers’ requirements.

Full Complement Cylindrical Roller Bearings are designed to carry heavy load. Comparing with traditional bearings with cage, full complement cylindrical bearings have much higher loading capacity. The radial cross section of the type of bearings is very small. So it can be very sp0ace-saving. However the limiting speed of the bearings is relatively lower. All the multi-row cylindrical roller bearings are with a lubrication groove and one nipple on the outer ring.

Cylindrical roller bearings
Feature
Cylindrical rollers have linear contact with the raceway, and the bearings can carry heavier radial load. Applications are found in situations characterized by heavy load and shock load and also high rotation speed. The N type and NU type bearings can be movable along the shaft. They can adapt to the position changes between the shaft and housing caused by the thermal expansion or the mounting error and are most suitable for free end shafts. NJ and NF types can accept certain axial load in one direction, and NH and NUP types can accept certain axial load in two directions. Inner ring and outer ring can be separable, and be they are convenient to mount and dismount. FC, FCD and FCDP types can carry comparatively heavy radial load and are mainly applied for mill rolls.
Applications
These bearings are mostly found in middle-sized and large-sized motors, electricity generators, internal combustion engines, gas turbines, machine tool spindles, deceleration devices, unloading and lifting machines and other industrial machines.

Construction of this roller bearing type is the simplest of all radial roller bearings. This bearing type is often used in high-speed applications. Because the inner ring, outer ring, and rollers are in line contact, this bearing type has a large radial load capacity. Various Cylindrical roller bearing configurations are:
N,NJ,NF,NU,RNU : integral ribs (flanges)
NH,NP;NUP;NUH : integral and loose ribs
NN,NNU : double-row bearings
Configurations having integral flanges or loose ribs on both the inner and outer rings can sustain a asmall amount of axial load. Since this bearing type supports axial loads as sliding action between the end of the rollers and flange faces, axial loading is Limited. Double-row Cylindrical roller bearings are used for high-speed, high-accuracy applications such as; main spindle support for lathes, milling machines, machining centers.

Cylindrical roller bearings have high radial-load capacity and moderate thrust loads. They contain rollers which are cylindrically-shaped, but are not true cylinders. Instead, these rollers are crowned or end-relieved to reduce stress concentrations. This geometry results in low friction and allows for high-speed applications. Cylindrical roller bearings are commonly available in precision grades such as RBEC-5, a classification from the Roller Bearing Engineers Committee (RBEC). RBEC ratings describe the accuracy and tolerance range for different types of bearings. As a rule, the higher the RBEC number, the tighter the bearing tolerances. Typically, cylindrical roller bearings are lubricated with oil, which also serves as a coolant.
Most cylindrical roller bearings are made of alloy steels or low-carbon steels. Some applications require the use of case-hardened or thorough-hardened, high-carbon, bearing-quality steel. High-carbon grades of steel do not require carburizing and can be case-hardened by induction heating or thorough-hardened by conventional heating methods. When low-carbon, carburized grades of steel are used, carbon is introduced after the cylindrical roller bearings are machined to a depth sufficient to produce a hardened case that can sustain bearing loads. The addition of carbon and alloys ensures the proper combination of a hard, fatigue-resistant case and a tough, ductile core.
