Multicyl offers a series of cylinders and cages which are designed to provide an affordable, safe, and efficient production option for tube notching. With few exceptions, tube notching is usually performed with a short stroke Multicyl powering tooling with an internal mandrel which punches from the inside out. Although many notch profiles are possible to punch with a Multicyl system, by far the most common is the right angled cope notch in either round or shaped tubing. The most popular way to achieve this is to use standard two hit notch tooling which is available from Multicyl or most unitized tool shops.
Combining this type of tooling into a Multicyl system creates a work station
in which the operator first notches one side then inverts the tube to notch the opposite side. The speed and simplicity of Multicyl allows the operator
to complete the part in about 4 seconds.
In cases where the part volumes are high we can offer a second tube notching alternative; the double notch system. This notching option uses a tooling system designed for use specifically with Multiyl and is custom built to suit each application. Similar to the double tube punch application, this system uses set-up of opposing Multicyls which are cycled together producing the finished part in one machine cycle, or about 2-3 seconds.

Machines for tube notching and general grinding work. Notching is performed by bringing the tube into contact with a grinding belt by means of a unique and innovative simultaneous two-directional, transverse system. The patented quick contact roller changeover system, the resulting long life of the roller bearings, and extremely rugged construction all combine to ensure optimum machining results.
Typical applications: all situations in which two tubes are to be joined. Construction of chassis and roll-bars for race cars and go-karts, construction of chairs and tables, completion of stair handrails. |

AF226B
The fixed angle notching machine AF.226/B has a compact structure, and a shearing head in GS500 fusion with downwards movement. The workbench is fitted with conical slots for housing of the squares. The conical form of the slots has been especially designed to give greater rigidity to the squares to guarantee greater precision. Subject of a Simasv patent, the most important characteristic is the automatic adjustment of the slack between the blades from 1 to 6 mm in thickness. The cut may start from the tip of the blades, and the auto-adjustment system between the upper and the lower blades allows simultaneous cutting of different thicknesses.
AF228B
The fixed angle notching machine AF.228/B has a compact structure, and a shearing head in GS500 fusion with downwards movement.
The workbench is fitted with conical slots for housing of the squares. The conical form of the slots has been especially designed to give greater rigidity to the squares to guarantee greater precision.
Subject of a Simasv patent, the most important characteristic is the automatic adjustment of the slack between the blades from 1 to 8 mm in thickness. The cut may start from the tip or the base of the blades (for thickness from 6 to 8 mm.), and the auto-adjustment system between the upper and the lower blades allows simultaneous cutting of different thicknesses.

SIMASV NOTCHING MACHINES WITH FIXED AND VARIABLE ANGLE
AF258P
The fixed angle notching machine AF.258/P is prearranged for the mounting of the punch head.
The shearing head is mounted on rigid columns to prevent load oscillation of the head during the punching phase. However, during the notching phase the shearing head must be able to oscillate in the four directions to allow the auto-adjustment of the upper blades with respect to the lower ones. For this purpose two locking levers are set to the rear of the machine with the function of blocking or unblocking the head depending on whether the machine is punching or notching.
AV226PA
The auto-adjustment patented system between the upper and the lower blades allows simultaneous cutting of different thicknesses.
The AV/PA version is predisposed for the mounting of a punching head for carrying out drilling, beading, nibbling, shutter slits, straight cuts and so on. There is also the option of activating the cutting or punching unit via the special reversing button.
The cutting capacity of variable angle notching machine is of 6 mm. thickness, and the cutting angle can be adjust from 30° to 140°.
Subject of a Simasv patent, the most important characteristic of the variable angle notching machine AV.226/PA is the automatic adjustment of the slack between the blades from 1 to 6 mm in thickness. The cut may start from the tip or the base of the blades, and the auto-adjustment system between the upper and lower blades allows simultaneous cutting of different thicknesses. The machine is equipped with hydraulic blade blockage. |

Subject of a Simasv patent, the most important characteristic of the variable angle notching machine AV.226/B is the automatic adjustment of the slack between the blades from 1 to 6 mm in thickn..
LC1025
The variable angle notching machine LC series, with variable angle from 30° to 135°, has a robust C-shaped structure capable of supporting even sizeable loads. In fact it is one of the few on the market capable of cutting sheet metal up to a thickness of 10 mm, guaranteeing perfect cutting even on elevated thicknesses. The mobile group is well guided and blade slack is adjusted mechanically via two pawls set at the front of the machine.
AV180
A Simasv patent, the AV180° is the only machine on the market with a cutting capacity of up to 180° without moving the sheet metal from one angle to the other, and it is for this very characteristic that it lends itself to use in automatic lines and in CN. The shearing head in GS500 is mounted on 4 anti-flexion columns and the robust supports on the head and under the workbench guarantee absolute machine rigidity. The direct frontal reading of the cutting angle avoid laborious calculations between the blades and the squares.
