Pneumatic atomizing nozzles are available in various designs to comply with specific spray and flow requirements:
. Self-aspiration (siphon principle)
. Supply of liquid from a vessel located at a higher level (gravity principle)
. Supply of liquid under pressure (pressure principle)
. Mixing of fluids inside or outside the nozzle
. Full cone or flat fan spray pattern
For many applications, adjustability of liquid flow and, thereby, of the droplet size, is possible with the aid of manually operated accessory components.
A pneumatically controlled piston allows to perform automatic or intermittent operations. A number of special customized designs complete the nozzle range. |
|
Pneumatic flat fan atomizing nozzles produce a flat spray pattern with extremely fine droplets and spray angles up to 80°. These nozzles are particularly suited for applications requiring fine droplets and a wide linear impact.
Pneumatic full cone atomizing nozzles, however, are preferably used for applications demanding uniform circular impact patterns or larger spray distances. Generally, a narrow full cone with approx. 20°-30° is formed. Wider spray angles can be achieved by using special multi-orifice designs. |

CENTRIFUGAL PRESSURE NOZZLES
The most widespread pressure atomizer , where the energy for atomization is supplied exclusively by the feed liquid pressure. In this type nozzle the liquid enters the whirl chamber through a slot in the side of the chamber itself, follows a tangential path around the inner chamber profile, and is then fed to the outlet orifice at high speed. Nozzle orifice, whirl chamber and nozzle top plate are made out of tungsten carbide or other wear resistant materials, to avoid rapid wear and consequent performance degradation. Bodies are manufactured from high quality Aisi 316 stainless steel.
These nozzles are well suited for atomizing high viscosity liquids with viscosities values up to several hundred centipoises. They are successfully used in countercurrent spraydryers, and in systems using multiple nozzle lances. Capacities range up to several thousands of kgph for a single nozzle. |

| The BEX Air Wisk nozzle produces a concentrated flat fan pattern of high impact air for cooling, drying and blow off applications. The Airwisk's design efficiently controls compressed air usage, reduces energy costs and provides optimum air distribution. |

SPRAY CHARACTERISTICS: ILH series in-line hollow cone spray nozzles produce a very evenly distributed hollow cone spray which emerges through the center axis of the nozzle body. At lower pressures, they produce medium sized, uniform droplets. Finer droplets are produced at higher pressures.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
- Dust Suppression
- Spray Ponds
- Metal Treatment
- Roof Cooling
- Brine Spraying
- Humidification
- Areating |
|
- Finest drop particles
- Narrow free cross-sections
- Maximum spray angle: 90°
Wherever a fine, uniform hollow cone is needed, e.g. for cooling and cleaning of gas, absorption processes, dust control, product dampening, oil spraying and air humidifying, axial-flow hollow cone nozzles have proved very efficient. The spiral grooves in the swirl inserts ensure an efficient whirling of the liquid. As a result, the contact surface of the atomized liquid is significantly increased within a remarkably narrow droplet spectrum. This creates extraordinarily favourable conditions for mass transfer. |
|
| Axial-flow hollow cone nozzles The liquid supply is axial, rotary motion of the liquid is generated by so-called swirl inserts or vanes. Axial-flow hollow cone nozzles allow to produce the finest droplets achievable with pressure-operated nozzle designs. This is also called hydraulic atomization. |
|
SPRAY CHARACTERISTICS:
C series hydraulic atomizing nozzles are designed and precision machined to provide a very fine hollow-cone spray using only the liquid pressure for atomizing.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
- Humidification/Moisture Addition
- Evaporative Cooling
- Steam De-superheating |

The spray pattern of flat fan nozzles features a sharply delimited line due to internal flow characteristics.
The coverage width can be varied by modifying the geometric configuration of the nozzle orifices, where the liquid is shaped into flat, fan-like spray patterns. The flat liquid body takes on a laminar form and disintegrates into droplets as its distance from the nozzle orifice increases. Parabolic, trapezoidal or rectangular impact areas are achieved by adequately determining the functional and geometric dimensions. |

Whatever your application, whatever your fuel gas, there's a Smith SlicerTM tip to provide fast, economical and quality cutting. Soft seats are not prone to damage like metal-to-metal seats, providing consistent seating and much longer life than metal to metal seats.
FEATURE BENEFITS
1. In-Tip Mix Provides Added Resistance to Flashback
Each tip is a precision engineered mixer for combining preheat oxygen and fuel gas to attain maximum efficiency.
2. Slip-In Design Saves Time and Money
Quick, easy tip change encourages use of right tip for the job.
3. Hand Tighten Tips - No Wrench Needed!
After the first tightening with a wrench, all that's needed to seat the tip snugly is hand-tightening. No need to search for a wrench to change tips; threads on tip nut won't be stripped by over-tightening.
4. Soft Graf-Tite® Flexible Seats End Reseating Repairs
Compressible soft seats are practically indestructible and they withstand very high temperatures, resulting in longer tip life.
5. Fully Swaged Tip Minimizes Gas Turbulence
Mirror smooth gas passages deliver stable gas flows for high heat transfer, fast starts and clean cuts, also, minimizes slag build-up, and reduces clean-up time.
6. Concave Shaped Tip End
Reduces backfire and resists flameout when making accidental contact with base metal during cutting operations.
7. Removable High Pressure Seat
Allows cleaning from back of tip. |

In any dryer good mixing and efficient liquid-gas contact are of basic importance to assure rapid drying. The height of the dryer system is largely determined by the time required to dry the largest particle produced by the atomizer, while other important parameters are represented by the inlet-air temperature and the properties of the product being processed.
Spray drying has several advantages, the main one being the ability to handle heat-sensitive products such as food and pharmaceuticals. This is due to the fact that the drying process of a drop happens by loosing water on the external layers, and this keeps the inside material in the drop cool or at least protected against excessive heat. |

Lechler tank cleaning nozzles work without expensive and defectprone remote drive systems. They are self-rotating and driven by the cleaning fluid. Most types are available in stainless steel as well as in numerous other materials, e.g. PVDF.
The ingenious design of the orifices insures a powerful cleaning and low water consumption at the same time. |
|
| Our product range comprises a wide selection of rotating tank cleaning nozzles. The nozzles are driven by the cleaning fluid. Lechler tank cleaning nozzles operate at low pressures between 1 and 10 bar. The main cleaning effect is achieved by the special spray pattern and spray guidance. This saves energy, cleaning fluid and of course expensive cleaning time. Lechler tank cleaning nozzles are used for small tanks with a diameter of 1 m through to large tanks with diameters up to 16 m. You can choose between fixed installations in CIP plants or applications mounted on mobile appliances. |
|
This comprehensive range of tank washing devices have been developed for a number reasons. Primarily this is due to the quest for greater efficiency in all kinds of industrial procedures, but it is also the continuous requirement to assure a constant and higher quality level of product. Environmental considerations are also influential; the need to reduce energy use and the increasing costs involved in the disposal of effluents are also factors. Thus resulting in the need for a cleaning process that produces a totally satisfactory result and is completed using the lowest possible volume of cleaning solution; the right tank washing head can also be energy efficient.
Our range from the classic fixed head to the more sophisticated models has been developed to cope with the most demanding applications. The following basic concepts should be given proper consideration in order to determine the correct washing cycle for each single application, and consequently the most suitable type of tank cleaning device. |
