The traveling-column or 3D machine is ideal for machining of large-size parts clamped in stationary fixtures. Work pieces with overall sizes of 3.5 m in height and 25 m in length clamped on suitable floor plates can be machined across their surface and five-sided machining is ensured by docked milling heads.
This machine can be delivered in two headstock versions, too - either with projected bearing sleeve and milling spindle or integral facing head and boring spindle with unrestricted numbers of revolutions.
In association with rotary, positioning, and tilting tables of various sizes and loads, pick-up stations for milling heads, facing heads or special tools, it is one of the most universal working machines in a mechanical workshop. |
