As a response to the measurement requirements for any distribution and control board, CIRCUTOR has developed a new electrical power analyzer for three-phase systems: CVM-MINI.
Of course any equipment can measure the main parameters in electrical systems, but the smaller size of the three module, DIN analyser, combined with a large number of advantages, make the CVM-MINI the best option for measurement and energy control solutions:
-Capacity to process more than 213 electrical parameters.
-DIN rail mounting or panel mounting (72X72) using an adapter.
-RS485 communications with Modbus/RTU protocol.
-Easy to build into existing control systems.
-Programming, measurement, recording and control software.
-Universal power supply
CIRCUTOR has built into one single small piece of equipment, the performance of any instrument found on any distribution and control board (protection boards, motor and pump control, overload and earth leakage distribution boxes, etc.), in a size and price which will make any board, no matter how small, be incomplete without the presence of the CVM-MINI.

The EN6100-3-2 standard deals with the limitation of harmonic currents injected into the public mains supply system. Meanwhile, the EN6100-3-3 standard addresses the limitation of voltage fluctuations and flicker in low-voltage supply systems for equipment with a rated current of over 16A. These two standards, which became a mandatory requirement in Europe in 2001, apply to electrical and electronic equipment that have an input current up to and including 16A per phase and that are intended to be connected to public low-voltage distribution systems, such as supply voltages nominally 230V AC or 415V AC 3 phase.

In view of the growing number of factors with a disturbing influence on power systems and the ever increasing sensitivity of the devices and installations on the consumer side, simple monitoring criteria such as undervoltage or overcurrent are usually inadequate nowadays. Reliable logging of all the relevant events within the electrical power system calls for the constant observation of a wide variety of derived parameters such as harmonic content, system unbalance or interharmonics and the swift identification of the slightest deviation from the standard state.
In addition to providing pure monitoring functions, modern power system analysing equipment should be capable of logging in full the mode of operation and the interaction of all the component parts of a power supply system.
Only comprehensive and continuous monitoring of the entire power system enables all resources to be used purposively and effectively for the restoration of system operation should a disturbance occur.
In addition, the recorded data provides the planners of electrical installations and protection equipment with an invaluable basis for the extension and optimisation of primary and secondary equipment.
If you are not already convinced of the importance of using a modern power system monitor, you certainly will be as soon as you are confronted with the question of who is liable for system disturbances and who is responsible for meeting the costs involved.

Breakers are situated at the key points of electrical energy transmission and distribution systems. Their reliability has a decisive influence on the availability, safety and economic efficiency of electrical supply networks.
Initially, the reliability of newly installed breakers depends on their construction, the manufacturing quality and the type and scope of final factory inspections and tests. However, once installed on site, only regular tests can guarantee perfect functioning throughout the operational life of a breaker.
Automatic test systems provide precise information as to the state of the switching chamber and drive unit throughout the entire operational life of a breaker without requiring these to be opened. The sheer number of parameters to be calculated, the wide variety of different breakers in use and the harsh environmental conditions encountered during on-site tests make extremely high demands on the test technology involved.

Testing circuit breakers to ensure proper operation
High voltage circuit breakers are extremely important for the function of modern electric power supply systems. The breaker is the active link that ultimately has the role of quickly opening the primary circuit when a fault has occurred. Many times, the breaker has to perform its duty within a few milliseconds, after months, perhaps years of idly standing by.
Ever since its introduction in 1984 of the first microprocessor based breaker analyzer on the world market, Programma has taken the lead in portable test instruments for high voltage circuit breakers. Over the years, many new user requirements have lead Programma to innovate new solutions to provide test engineers in the field with effective tools for determining the status of circuit breakers.
