The ELT-400 is an innovative tester for evaluating magnetic radiation exposure in the workplace and in public spaces. The device was developed for use by health and safety officials in industry, by insurance companies and by service-industry users.
The ELT-400 handles almost all of the required measurements in the low to medium frequency range with accuracy and ease. The device is comparable to sound level meters, which are commonly used in the workplace to protect against excessive noise exposure.
Options
Use as an active probe with a three-channel analog output for analysis applications involving an oscilloscope or spectrum analyzer. |

STL's unique 26 bit ADC pioneers in a novel underwater system to measure magnetic and electric fields. Three or more sensor platforms are connected to a base station in a chain configuration by a single cable used for power and data transmission as well as for deployment and recovery. The analogue sensor front end is formed by 3 pairs of UEP Carbon electrodes followed by ultra low-noise isolation preamplifiers, a 3-axes low-noise fluxgate, and environmental temperature and pressure sensors.
The digital part is based upon a novel high performance 26 bit analogue-to digital converter. Consequent digital signal processing provide temperature and geometry compensated signal output.
The three magnetic and electric field vector components are complemented by a pair of high resolution tilt sensors to achieve the precise softwarealignment of the sensor platform with respect to magnetic North and the Earth's gravity centre. In addition the system can be equipped with sensors to measure acoustic and pressure signature as well as environmental information like water current vector, temperature and conductivity.
The sensor system includes also DGPS and, therefore, is able to track the target traces with high precision. All signal channel can be read out and visualized in quasi real-time. |

Imagine a rooftop with several mobile radio systems and a TV transmitter nearby. How can you tell what each system is contributing to the overall field exposure level? When it comes to different areas such as occupational safety, the general public and the home, the relevant field levels can vary. Which field sources are at stake? What is the corresponding fieldstrength?
The SRM-3000 answers these questions, directly on site. With its triaxial probe, the SRM-3000 measures the electromagnetic field selectively, by service and frequency, regardless of where the radiation is coming from. You can view the results as a field strength or as a percent of the legal limit. It provides an immediate summary of all sources with their field strengths, right on the spot.
Narda’s Selective Radiation Meter SRM-3000 is highly portable, battery-powered and immune to interference so you can take it with you wherever you go. It covers the frequency range of main interest from FM radio to 3rd generation mobile radio systems. The SRM evaluates the field strengths it measures in accordance with the applicable regulations, and delivers results as a field strength level or as a percent of the legal limit. No PC is required for this operation. |

| Product quality, output and yield of manufacturing processes can be improved considerably when problems related to static electricity are identified and dealt with effectively. Electrostatic fieldmeters are appropriate measuring tools to simply identify static electricity problems. |
|
The Electric Field Meter EM03 is a small, compact unit for measuring static electrical charges with digital display in Volts. The mode of function of the instrument is based on the influence principle.
When measuring static charges, the distance between the instrument and the object is selectable between 1 and 20 cm.
The integrated micro-computer automatically converts the measured field strength over the preselected measuring distance (distance between test object and measurement electrode) into Volt, allowing charges up to 200 kV to be measured. |

Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) is the disruption caused by an electromagnetic field. EMI can cause equipment lock-up, sensor parametric errors, undesirable process variations, erratic response, software errors, and even component damage.

The Narda Broadband Field Meter NBM-550 has been designed to measure electromagnetic field strengths in the vicinity of transmitters and industrial equipment, and to evaluate and record the results in the context of human safety standards. Particular attention has been paid to ease of use. The instrument can be operated with one hand by anyone – left-handed or right-handed. The probes are isotropic, i.e. equally sensitive in all directions, so users do not need to worry about the direction the radiation is coming from.
The result data memory holds up to 5000 results along with date and time information. A GPS receiver (option) plugged into the basic unit and connected via USB gives the NBM the capability to store position data for each measurement. Instead of handwritten notes, voice comments can also be recorded. All the data can be uploaded to a PC and managed using the PC software supplied with the instrument. Measurement reports are therefore very easy to generate.
The basic unit and the probes are separately calibrated at the factory. The probe calibration data are stored in an EPROM in the probe itself. The NMB basic unit retrieves this automatically via the intelligent probe interface, and takes it into account in the results. |

Angle encoders
The term angle encoder is typically used to describe encoders that have an accuracy of better than ± 5" and a line count above 10000. These devices are used in applications such as NC rotary tables, swivel heads of machine tools, dividing apparatuses, high-precision angle measuing tables, precision devices in angular metrology, antennas and telescopes.
Rotary encoders
Rotary encoders from HEIDENHAIN serve as measuring sensors for rotary motion, angular velocity and also, when used in conjunction with mechanical measuring standards such as lead screws, for linear motion. Application areas include electrical motors, machine tools, printing machines, woodworking machines, textile machines, robots and handling devices, as well as various types of measuring, testing, and inspection devices.
With incremental angle encoders and rotary encoders, the current position is determined by starting at a datum and counting measuring steps, or by subdividing and counting signal periods. Incremental encoders from HEIDENHAIN feature reference marks, which must be scanned after switch-on to reestablish the datum. Incremental rotary encoders with commutation signalssupply the angular shaft position value - without requiring previous traverse - with sufficient accuracy to correctly control the phases of the rotating field of a permanent-magnet three-phase motor.

The RESR and SiGNUM%u2122 RESM angle encoders feature a ±5 arc second scale graduated axially onto a stainless-steel ring. Available in a range of 20 diameters (from Ø52 mm to Ø550 mm), Renishaw's angle encoders have a low cross-section and a large internal diameter to position easily around large internal rotors, payloads or services.
The rings also feature a unique taper mount which corrects for eccentricity of the rotor/shaft and ensures excellent accuracy, offering easy and robust fine adjustment of the ring's form and all installation tolerances. In addition, the rings offer a very low moment of inertia ensuring that whatever the installation, the system can be positioned with minimal torque and maximum speed.

| VM20 is a modular, multipurpose measuring and test system for grinding machines easily programmable by the user. Available as independent unit or for rack-mounting, equipped with local hardware or remote operator panel as well as with Windows Software panel, digital I/O logic interfaces, Profibus and RS232. The wide range of grinding wheels balancing devices, with or without embedded acoustic sensors, applicable on single or multiple grinding wheels or long grinding wheels, allow to automatically and rapidly reduce vibrations which generally cause errors and imperfections on worked surfaces. The wide range of AE transducers configuration available, with assembly both on rotating and stationary machine components, can be used to monitor the machine conditions, through FFT analysis, and to determine the grinding wheel position when it contacts the piece to be worked or the tool-dresser. During working, diameter and roundness gauges, as well as the pieces positioning gauges, allow to achieve a constant production quality together with a cycle time improvement, thanks to correct feeding speeds for roughing-out and finishing. |
