STERN 25 IMS is a real work station for metal tube forming.
Thanks to the 15 different tools that can be fitted, this end forming machine gives the possibility, in the same work cycle, to flare, reduce, end-form, roll-form, face, chamfer, close and thread tubes up to maximum diameter 30 mm.
STERN 25 IMS has 3 controlled axis and a double vice closing system: this is made for stopping also particular kind of tubes, with a big diameter, and allowes to open one or both jaws.
Because of its ease of use, this machine doesn’t require a highly trained operator: so it is perfectly suited even to the most different productive conditions.
Like other Pedrazzoli end forming machines, the STERN 25 IMS too has the IMS control, developed by our R&D Department. The IMS software allows to control all the achievable functions (represented in a graphic way) and carries out automatic optimisation of the work cycles reducing production times to minimum.
This machine can be equipped with automatic loader, two-hand push-button controls with mushroom emergency button and clamping vice pre-closing device.

Sub-Zero Temperatures From Compressed Air
Using only factory compressed air, ITW Vortec's Vortex Tubes generate temperatures down to -40¢XC for spot cooling in a wide variety of industrial applications and processes. A Vortex Tube separates compressed air into hot and cold air streams, lowering the supplied air temperature by as much as 40¢XC and delivering refrigeration up to 6000 BTUH. With no moving parts to break or wear out, Vortex Tubes offer reliable, maintenance-free operation and easy installation. Various models are available for specific cooling requirements and, at only 150 mm to 330 mm long, they serve as a very compact, cooling component on machinery and equipment.

Meech Stainless Steel Vortex Tubes convert compressed air into two airflows, one extremely cold and the other extremely hot. Compressed air enters the spin chamber tangentially. This causes the column of air inside the tube to rotate at very high speed (up to 1 million rpm). The air at the outside of the column, moving very fast has a lot of energy and is hot. The air at the centre of the air at the centre of the column, moving relatively sowly has little energy and is cold. The hot outer air is bled of off at one end of the tube and and the cold inner air at the other. Vortex Tubes have no moving parts and can produce temperatures as low as 50°C below the inlet air temperature and as high as 110°C.

Vortex Tubes With Metal Generators, Stainless Steel Body:
Vortex Tubes are devices that work on a standard compressed air supply. Air enters the vortex tube and literally splits the air flow into two parts - cold air at one end, and hot air at the other - all without any moving parts.
Vortex Tubes have an adjustable valve at the "hot" end controls the volume of the air flow, and the temperature exiting at the cold end. By adjusting the valve, you control the "cold fraction" which is the percentage of total input compressed air the exits the cold end of the vortex tube.
Inside is the interchangeable brass "generator" which can alter the air used in the vortex tube, and control the temperature ranges you wish to have at the cold and hot ends. There are several ranges of generators for compressed air capacity. There are also two basic types of generators - one to produce the extreme cold temperatures (maximum cold temperature out called the C generator) and one type to produce the maximum amount of cooling (maximum refrigeration called the H generator).

An effective, low cost solution to a wide variety of industrial spot cooling and process cooling needs. Using an ordinary supply of compressed air as it's power source, Vortex Tubes create two streams of air, one cold and one hot, with no moving parts. Compact immersion tubes - Direct bath heating
Production of hot liquids in baths or tanks, heating of aqueous or non-aqueous solutions, for washing, degreasing, pickling, firing, dyeing.
DIRECT HEATING
Positioning of heating equipment in the bath (gas immersion heater).
DECENTRALISED HEATING
Possibility of fitting in existing baths. Autonomy of different processes. Substitute of all or part of centralised heating systems (support of an overloaded installation).
The ease of installation enables better autonomy in different processes, where efficiency is increased and energy costs are reduced.
EFFICIENT HEATING
No loss of time or energy in order to increase the temperature. The only thermal inertia is linked to the volume of the bath. There is a noticeable improvement in the production of hot water in existing electric water-heating tanks by installing a gas immersion heater on a free manhole. The quality of components provides a degree of simplicity and comfort.
COST-EFFECTIVE HEATING
Thanks to the exceptional output of the compact immersion tube (more than 93% of Net Calorific Value), energy costs can be reduced by 20% to 50%. Furthermore, its direct installation in the bath neutralises losses in energy.
COMPONENTS
The equipment is made up of 3 sub-assemblies:
1 -The burner uses a total pre-mixture of air/gas.
2 - The heat exchanger or coil has a developed length and a tube diameter corresponding to the power to be transmitted.
3 - The air/gas pre-mixing line is made up of an air fan and a set of solenoid valves enclosed in a stainless steel sheet housing.
