DEA 230 Epsilon
There are three different systems in the 230 Epsilon series of Dielectric Cure Monitors: the high-performance, 2-channel DEA 230/2 with the broadest measurement and frequency range, particularly for product development and process optimization, the single-channel DEA 230/1, and the 10-channel DEA 230/10, also suitable for applications in manufacturing.
For the investigation of the curing behavior of thermosetting resin systems, composite materials, adhesives and paints, dielectric analysis (DEA) has stood the test of time because it can be employed not only on a laboratory scale, but also in process. Versatile sensors for almost every application are available for measurement of the ion viscosity.
The different models of the DEA 230 Epsilon can be connected to the dynamic mechanical analyzer DMA 242 C for simultaneous DMA-DEA analyses. The combination of these complimentary methods provides additional information for complete characterization of the crosslinking behavior of the reactive polymers.

The CHEMUNEX Fluorescent Cell Labeling Technology (Fluorassure) has been widely used by the industry for more
than 15 years and is a well-established technology for the universal labeling of viable bacteria, yeasts and molds.
The ChemScan RDI® (Scan RDI® in the US) application using the fluorescent markers is approved by the FDA.
All and only viable microorganisms are labeled, even under conditions of stress such as the nutrient-depleted conditions of process water or in the presence of growth inhibitors, and are kept intact.
Chemunex technology provides direct labeling and detection, cell by cell. This provides results in microbial cell counts without the need of any calibration curve or interpretation.
3 analyzers are available for non filterable products: BactiFlow, BactiFlow ALS and D-Count
ScanRDI for non filterable products

Voltammetry instruments and polarographs are favorably priced and compact, yet great in their detection capabilities.
- With voltammetry you can analyze trace elements in water, environmental samples or ultrapure chemicals!
- With the Cyclic Voltammetric Stripping technique (CVS) the analysis of organic additives in plating baths can be carried out easily and accurately.
Convincing applications
1) Apart from the determination of the total concentration, voltammetry allows to distinguish the different oxidation stages of metal ions or differentiate between free and bound metal ions as well as to specify the biological availability of heavy metals. VA instrument can also be used in mobile laboratories for environmental analysis.
2) Not only metals but also various organic compounds can be determined by voltammetry, but also some special anions. The determination of environmentally relevant anions like cyanide, sulfide, nitrite or nitrate is particularly interesting.
Automation makes work easier, increases sample throughputs and provides more exact results. For example, the CVS determination of organic additives in the plating industry can be carried out manually, partly automated or fully automated using the 838 Advanced Sample Processor.
