Jacobsen's impact wheel marker is an add-on module for positively marking defective wheels.
The impact marker physically deforms defective wheels, ensuring that they cannot be accidentally mistaken for good ones.
The wheel marker is standalone, turn-key module that can be added to any process in a wheel foundry. It can be installed in-line anywhere where defective wheels are removed from the process.
Jacobsen's impact wheel marker positively identifies defective wheels by visibly denting the rim. A wheel that has been dented is both visually and functionally defective, and cannot be accidentally used as good.
The marker is a complete turnkey unit, requiring only power, trigger and compressed air inputs. The marker uses a special pneumatic/hydraulic cylinder that generates high pressures without the need for hydraulics.
The marker will work for wheels from 12" to 22" in diameter and from 4" to 12" in width.

Using the impact indenting method, the entire message is indented at one time using an impact press with a press-style die, holder and changeable type or numbering head. The force to indent the product is produced by a compression spring in the impact press. The machine and tooling selected is determined by the size of the inscription and the resistance (hardness) of the material.
Matthews impact presses are available in six models for manual or pneumatic operation with an indenting force ranging from 1/2 ton to 10 tons. Production rates are limited by the speed of loading and unloading the press.
Press indenting is useful for marking on products which require long production runs, precise mark registration and controlled marking. Indenting can be achieved as part of the production process or as a separate operation.

The pneumatic press EP15 was built for semplifying and automating the hot mounting process. The operator has only to select, from the digital display, the appropriate mounting cycle for the resin type which is going to be used. Preset mounting cycle parameters (temperature and timing of heating and cooling), optimised for each type of resin, are stored in the control panel, and can then be selected for starting the embedding cycle. At the end of each cycle, the cooled sample can be pulled out from the heating chamber and passed onto the grinding/polishing process.

Solid, high-quality pellets are an important precondition for reliable and meaningful XRF analysis. With the PP 40, RETSCH offers a pellet press which presses a wide range of materials such as slag, ores, minerals and cement to strong pellets with a smooth surface.
The PP 40 features an individual pressure force regulation in the range of 50 to 400 kN. Besides controlling the pressure force, it also determines build-up, maintenance and release of force during pressing. This reduces the inner tensions of the sample and ensures that even difficult materials are pressed perfectly.
|
|
Advantages :
This patented design for the automatic mill and press brings new possibilities to the field of automatic pressed pellet sample preparation.
It still has the traditional advantages over manual preparation namely: improved repeatability, higher frequency, better working environment (less dust and noise), less risk of sample cross contamination, better work conditions for the laboratory staff (no need to carry, empty and clean heavy grinding vessels).
Technological innovations : higher grinding efficiency, shorter grinding times, higher fineness (100% < 20 microns), better cleaning of the bowl, complete boric acid sample encapsulation (resistance without the necessity of having a steel ring and a binding agent).
