Cutting with the speed of light, Laser cutting has a very special place in the BWCutters portfolio offering a specialities less suited to blade cutting such as acrylics and is particularly popular with sailmakers and kitemakers who need to seal the edge of their material as they cut.
BW Cutters have been manufacturing laser cutting for the technical textile industry for over twenty years and still have customers using their original cutters we are specifically a flatbed cutting machine manufacturer and it was BW Cutters that introduced laser cutting into this industry sector.
Our customers are worldwide from USA to China and are used for example by the largest sail making companies in the world, such as Elvstrom-Sobstad and Hoods
One important factor in any Laser Cutting machine is the Laser unit itself the quality and reliability of this is critical and we have a long relationship with our supplier Synrad out of Seatle who offer a very efficient unit within a lighter mass than alternative manufacturers. This enables us to carry the unit on the gantry with no reduction in speed and movement. The fact that we carry the unit horizontally on the gantry then allows us to deliver the cutting beam to the material in the best and most efficient way, basically the distance between the unit and cutting point is only the height of the gantry meaning that the cutting beam length is as short as possible.
Another very important feature with our laser is that we deliver dc voltage directly to the laser head not through an expensive RF cable which would lead to significant power loss and such a long RF cable would can be prone to wear and tear damage. |

Laser technology is becoming very popular for the processing of woven or non-woven (synthetic) fabrics or fibrous materials for example:
- Industrial filters
- Sport and leisure clothing, protective suits
- Automobile fittings (airbags, furnishing, etc.).
The laser beam works without contact and without tool erosion. There is no distortion by a mechanical tool. The fused edges do not fray. No seaming is necessary with most synthetic textiles.

Genesis Range....Blades, Laser, Vibro
Filling the cost and design gap between the economical, adaptable Orion, and the heavy duty Mastercut platforms, the Genesis is our newest addition to the BW Cutters family of industrial flatbed cutting machines.
GENESIS 2100
The Genesis 2100 was developed as a lower cost and lighter duty alternative to our best-selling Mastercut model. The smaller Orion had been developed as a low cost and light-duty flatbed blade cutter a number of years ago. But demand had been building for a machine that displays the durability of the heavy duty Mastercut platform with the low cost of the Orion. The Genesis 2100 is so versatile that its multi-tool head carries Rotary or fixed blades as well as the BWCutters Oscillating blade and driven "Pizza Wheel"; this versatility allows a vast range of applications ranging from Pvc sheeting, composites and aramids such as kevlar through to the stringent accuracy required in print finishing and the exquisite leathers used in the high quality furniture upholstery. |

The TEKA oxacetylene cutting benches are equipped with an automatic folding device that is controlled by electronic contact valves. Above the bench is a stable flat iron bearing plate for the material. Underneath there is a grating (optional) for catching small items.
Any smoke or fumes created are extracted by separate sections that can be opened and closed by an electronic contact valve. This valve depends on the position of the head element.
The slag and thick dust will be collected in the collecting bin which can be removed by means of a crane. The required extraction output can be minimised as a result of the sectional controls. |

The option of the Plasma cutting of Imac production offers the flexibility that the user needs to get complex geometric figures and irregular shapes.
A high reliability, accuracy and flexibility are the main features of this machine together with the reasonable dimensioning and the competitive price if you consider that buying a Plasmaform you can use two machines in one.
The combined machine is equipped with the most qualified technology that you can find on the market. It's in fact equipped with Fanuc CNC (used by the biggest producers of machines for working metal sheet) and with a hydraulic group H+L (VOITH) that guarantees high reliability and good performances.
The Plasma source, fit on the machine, can be chosen according to the customer's needs. Imac has gained a big experience in working both iron and stainless steel on different thicknesses. We've in fact fit all kind of generators from Hpertherm to Kilberg and Thermal Dynamic. |
