Doorholder Magnets, explosion proof
Doorholder magnets with 650N, 1300 and 200N force, explosionproof, in acc. with ATEX 94/9/EG, II2G EEx m II T6, II2D IP66 T85, for use in hazardous areas zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 for all kind of gas, mixtures, vapours and dust (in acc. to type). Protection class IP65 |

DICTATOR provides complete hold open systems for hazardous areas
They comprise explosion-proof smoke and heat detectors, door operators and the electromagnets. They comply with the requirements for group II products and can be installed in all zone 1 and 2 areas (according to VDE 0165). The explosion proof magnets are encapsulated (EEX m). Two series are available: with ex-proof connection box or with connection cable. The standard length of the cable is 2 m, but it can be delivered in the length required on site. The holding force of the magnets is either 550 N or 145N. The integrated release pin eliminates any remanence after switching off the power supply of the magnets, ensuring that the magnets always releases the door. All ex-proof magnets are equipped with diodes and polarity protection.
The DICTATOR ex-proof magnets have been tested both according to EN 1155:2005 for hold-open systems and the ATEX directive by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt Braunschweig (certificates PTB 03 ATEX 2174 X and PTB 03 ATEX N060).
In addition to the ex-proof magnets DICTATOR also provides a large range of electromagnets for hold-open systems, that comply with the EN 1155:2005 and are approved for the use in hold-open systems. |

DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
Gone up on a fixed part, these suction cups ensure
the magnetic maintenance of the doors by l’ intermediary
d’ a reinforcing plate.
The release is obtained:
by electric drive remotely
cut of the tension d’ food for
models with lack of tension
powering for the models
with emission of current
manually by l’ intermediary d’ a button
push rod (models with lack of tension).
The return to the position “ maintien” s’ obtains in
bringing back the door in the initial position. |

Electromagnet is a type of magnet in which the magnetic field is produced by the flow of an electric current through the coil. The magnetic field disappears when the current ceases.
As a current is passed through the coil, small magnetic regions within the material, called magnetic domains, align with the applied field, causing the magnetic field strength to increase. As the current is increased, all of the domains eventually become aligned, a condition called saturation.
The main advantage of an electromagnet over a permanent magnet is that the magnetic field can be rapidly manipulated over a wide range by controlling the amount of electric current. However, a continuous supply of electrical energy is required to maintain the field.
In applications where a variable magnetic field is not required, permanent magnets are generally superior. Additionally, permanent magnets can be manufactured to produce stronger fields than electromagnets of similar size.
Electromagnets are used in many situations where a rapidly or easily variable magnetic field is desired. Many of these applications involve deflection of charged particle beams; the cathode ray tube and mass spectrometer fall into this category.
Popular uses: linear motor, electric motor, circuit-breakers, electromagnet brakes, electromagnet clutches, metal lifter, magnetic separators, and more. |

These industrial holding magnets are units with an electromagnetic
holding system without an armature that is an open magnetic
circle for the holding of ferro magnetic parts.
The greatest holding force is dependant on the surface roughness
and component thickness.
Devices with permanent magnets and rectangular holding magnets are also available.
Size: 15 - 250 mm diameter
Max. holding force: 36 - 30000 N
(please note catalogue indications)
Rated torque: 1.4 - 90 W |
