2/2 Way Pneumatically Operated Diaphragm Valve with Stainless Steel Body, DN 4-100

This type of valve is actuated by pressure acting on a piston or diaphragm. The fluid is usually neutral e.g. air, water, hydraulic oil. The pressure range varies and is specified accordingly in a data table.
"Normally Closed" (N/C) valves of this type remain closed under spring pressure, when de-activated.
"Normally Open" (N/O) valves of this type remain open under spring pressure, when de-activated.
When pressure is connected to port "Z" the valves open or close according to type.
A separate 3/2 pilot valve is used to supply pressure to port "Z", it is mounted either directly on the actuator or remotely.
In some cases a 4/2 or 5/2 pilot valve will be required. The main valve position can be N/C or N/O. The basic position is determined by connecting the pilot valve output lines accordingly. (The direction of flow is usually indicated by an arrow or shown schematically on the body).

Diaphragm Valves - Rotoflex
The Rotoflex lends itself particularly on filling applications. The sleeve is fixed with clamping rings. It can also be used on in-line systems but care must be taken to ensure mating gasket or flange does not interfere with rotating clamping ring.
The Flexible sleeve valve has proved itself over a number of years as a simple, reliable isolation or variable feed control valve on applications in the powder or air handling industries - its simplicity being its major advantage.
The basic construction is a rubber sleeve that, with each end being held firmly to a circular shape on rotation through 180°, will completely seal against the very finest of powders and limited air pressure.
Partial rotation leads to partial opening and a multitude of different types of sleeve can be accommodated, the better type of sleeves are food quality nylon, impregnated cloth and wear resistant natural rubber. These types of sleeves are weighty, give the valve good full opening properties and are dust tight.

After a thorough test concerning the needs within the various fields where technical application is carried out, e.g. the biotechnology and semi-conductor industries, as well as pharmaceutical, food and medical processes, the Ratti snc industry has projected a new diaphragm valve, which allows for clean and sterile handling of the fluid.
Through the research of an innovating internal design, a system has been carried out, it includes an option for an open and a closed valve, that is, internal inclined contact surfaces to drain the fluid.
This valve makes the cleaning process easy, thus foreseeing a minimization of empty volumes and the tinning of the fluid areas.
The valve is completely autoclavable, the body and the external parts are totally manufactured in AISI 316 L, while PTFE support bars file the handle and the diaphragm.
The valve is manufactured in the following dimensions: from 1/2" to 3", which include connections according to the BS-OD 4825 codes.
Whenever the pieces are traced for validation, the valve is laser identified, including the production series number, and it is furnished, upon request, with the chemical analysis certificates of the materials, as observed in code EN 10 204.1B, and in superficial finish checking.
