VORTEX® IRIS VALVE
The patented Vortex® Iris Valve is designed specifically to handle dry bulk solids in gravity discharge of free-flowing material from bins, bulk bags, chutes, and hoppers.
Traditional iris valves rely on plastic components to actuate the valve that can easily break during use. The Vortex® Iris Valve is designed with stainless steel control rings and metal trigger locks and handles to eliminate these problems, enabling you to meet your objectives by increasing production, while decreasing labor and equipment costs.

The versatile and lightweight Type TLD Valve is typically used for processing light density materials such as foods and pharmaceuticals and on rotating and mobile equipment where weight is a concern. It is available in a range of cast and weldable alloys including 316 stainless steel and Hastelloy. The sanitary version of the TLD Valve has full interior and exterior polishes. ANSI and DIN drilling patterns are offered in addition to the Gemco standard pattern. The valve is offered for dust tight, full vacuum and low-pressure (1 bar) services. Common installations of the TLD Valve include inlet/outlet valves on rotating or stationary blenders and Intermediate Bulk Containers.

YTRON-ZC powder disperser. Instantly wetting and thorough dispersing of extremely difficult to wet powders and concentrations of 50% and more, leading to highest yields in viscosity. Only a single pass is required to achieve a perfecly wetted product. Typical products to be processed are difficult to wet thickeners and binders such as CMC, Guar, Locust Bean Gum, Alginates, Carrageenan, Pectin, Xanthan Gum as well as other polymers with a tendency to form lumps such as Polyacrylic Acids, Carbopol ® etc. The wide range of YTRON-ZC types ensures that specific requirements from lab size up to production size for incorporating of more than 5.000 kg/h of powders is possible using the standard production range.

YTRON-ViscoTron is used for continuous incorporation of powders into viscous liquids as well as incorporation of more than 50 % solids into liquids, even in a single pass. Typical applications are the production of dow (ratio flour:water 50:59) or dispersing of additive into oil or a fat blend. Typical flow rates range between 1.000 l/h and 20.000 l/h using standard YTRON machines. The typical corresponding motor power is 5,5 kW to 22 kW.

The IKA® MHD-Plant serves for continuous "Inline mixing and dispersing" of powders into liquids.
Especially the quick and complete wetting of the solids (powders or granules) guarantees for a very good homogeneity and an extremely shortened duration of the process.
The mixing components are fed by means of a positive-displacement pump for liquids and a dosing device for solids, available with or without desaggregation device at your choice. The dust-free dosing makes working with this plant very comfortable.
On request the plant can be equipped with a complete measuring and control technique for automatic operation.
These mixing plants are available with total capacities of up to 40 t/h. With reduced flow capacity a solids content of up to 80% can be reached. In that case the ready mixed product is a highly viscous paste.
The MHD-Plants are available in 6 different sizes.

YTRON-XC powder dispersing unit. It is used for dissolving / dispersing of large quantities of solids such as Sodium- and Potassium-Caseinates, Milk Powder, Starch, Sugar, Silicates, Pigments and actives. YTRON-XC is used widely for the production of base mixes and concentrates before spray drying, in three shift productions.
Powders and compounds with a tendency to form lumps are continously incorporated from a BigBag or silo and efficiently dispersed inLine. The motor power used for standard applications typically ranges between 5,5 kW and 15,00 kW . This indicates the efficiency of the YTRON. The quantity of powders incorporated is up to approx. 12.000 kg/h, depending on the powders used.

The processing plant is able to produce soluble ( powder ) and instant ( agglomerated ) coffee starting from green coffee beans.
