The 1000 Series overhead conveyor is a closed system with a cardan chain running in a steel track. Loads hang directly from the chain. The conveyor is available with automatic loading and unloading, for example by industrial robots, and also with frequency control for speed adjustment. The 1000 Series overhead chain conveyor is often used in surface treatment plants, for long internal transport routes and for cooling off, for instance in foundries.

This chain is manufactured using a pin which is both smaller in diameter and slightly longer than its Standard Series version. This design allows for extra clearance between both the pin and the bushing and in overall chain width as well

These special chains are designed for thermoforming applications and unusual conveying applications such as creating polystyrene plates, shrink wrap, blister packs and many other plastic items. The chain features precise, pointed link plates combined with extended pins or straight attachments (for additional rigidity in operation) which make them ideal for conveying plastic film into thermoforming operations. Bushed conveyor chains consist of two components: one is the plate or the stud for the transmission of the tensile forces and the other is responsible for the rotation of the chain.
