The remit for the construction of the ‘Rotoprint’ model was a compact design while still achieving a high output.
The concept allows an output of up to 100,000 or 150,000 units/hour for closures with a 28 mm diameter, depending on the settings.
For closures with a 38 mm diameter, the machine achieves an output of approximately 75,000 or 110,000 units/hour.
The ‘Rotoprint’ can be set up for print images with 1–3 colours.
With all variants, parts are fed using the well proven sorting elevator, eliminating the need for unnecessary machine stops due to closures being the wrong way round. The storage reservoir of the sorting elevator can be filled on request using the Octabin tilting stations.
The system is fitted with exchangeable mandrels. This guarantees a quick and economical process changeover on the system when printing several cap types.
The ‘RTI 2000’ printing unit is operated without the use of any tools and requires no external ink supply systems. This dramatically reduces set-up times and ensures trouble-free operation. Gas is used in the process of end drying. This guarantees that the ink dries quickly and assists ink adhesion.
The products are discharged in correct position on a cold-air drying conveyor.

• Integrated cliché production
• 2-4 colour line motifs
• Can be integrated into automated systems
• Reduced set-up costs
• Cliché engraving by means of ALFALAS® laser system
• Ink change without fit-up aid
The new "HYBRID 90-2" tampon printing machine combines the "hermetic" tampon printing concept with the flexibility of the digital cliché production by means of a new "SK 80" laser module. Automatic changeover of the print motifs take place in a matter of seconds. The cliché production is carried out in the printing machine via laser technology (ALFALAS® software). A multicolour print motif is thereby produced directly and with precise registration.
The "HYBRID 90-2" works according to the well proven "V-DUO" principle with an ink/doctoring cup size of Ø 90 mm as well as 2 (4) colours. Our innovative "microflex" cliché band which shows a high engraving quality and a mechanical stability made this machine concept possible.

The ball printing machine ATLAS is designed for the decoration of PVC toy-balls over 360° with different sizes ranging from Ø ±110 mm (Ø ±4,3") up to Ø ±250 mm (Ø ±10").
The output is about 500 balls per hour. Both hemispheres of the balls are printed sequentially by different print heads.
Note that the mentioned printing speed depends on a lot of parameters and are to be considered as an indication. This output refers to the largest ball format.
In principle the number of printing stations is unlimited but experience tells us that the maximum possible is 12, equal to 6 (= 4 + 2) colours at each hemisphere. The installation is designed to achieve an unequalled print quality.
|
|
The ORION is designed to decorate Ø 28 mm bottle caps. Nevertheless, the concept is also suitable for other bottle cap sizes and/or cap shapes.
The standard caps of Ø 28 mm will have a max. output of ± 70 000 caps per hour in full colour. Each colour has its separate printing station and is designed to achieve an unequalled print quality. A varnish layer printing station can also be built in.
The main features of the ORION are fully automatic loading and ejection, surface pre-treatment, drying stations between the UV-printing stations.

Pad printing is an indirect gravure printing process. The copy or image is etched into a steel plate called a cliche. The cliche is inked and then cleaned with a doctor blade. This leaves the ink in the etched areas only. A flexible silicone pad picks up the image from the cliche and then transfers the image to the product.THIS SYSTEM is adaptable to a variety of shapes and contours on parts with a variation in the surface, yet fine detail and precise copy can be achieved. Two color process is obtained with exact registration. Pad Printing is ideal for decorating toys, plastic housewares, and injected mold components.
This technology also lends itself to marking electronic components such as resistors, canisters, and connectors. Any part, plastic, ceramic, or metal can be production marked by this process. The equipment can be semi or fully automated, yet remains a low capital expenditure.

Printex offers three types of Image Plates:
Photo-Polymer Image Plates
A photo-sensitive nylon, laminated to a thin steel backing. Short to mid size production runs. Very cost effective, with the ability to produce in house with minimal equipment. A wide variety available through various manufacturers.
Different characteristics include thickness, speed, ability to hold fine detailed graphics vs. bold graphics and developing solution. There are two different methods of developing the image plate, alcohol and water. Some inks contain alcohol which would break down the plate during production. Typical life of a Photo-Polymer cliché can range between 5,000 up to 100,000 impressions Photo-Polymer Image Plate
Thin Steel Image Plates:
These thin steel plates offer relatively longer life than a photo-polymer plate. With a typical production run of 250,000 + these plates are ideal for mid to long production runs.
Permanent Steel Image Plates:
These plates are the longest lasting, and most durable due to their material composition. Images are etched directly into a hardened 3/8” thick steel plate.
Their cost is the highest, but yields the most impressions during a production run.
These plates will run continuously, up to a million impressions before wearing down. These plates, like the thin steel have to be made by Printex due to the process and equipment needed. Permanent Steel Image Plate

Operating the SAFFIR combines time-efficiency and ease of operation with consistent high-quality end results: every single step of the printing-cycle can be individually set, tested, and adjusted. Regardless of whether you want to run a single cycle or print continuously, it is possible, at any point in time, to fine-tune the distance the pad travels to either the cliché or the product.
Changing the SAFFIR’s patented closed ink cup is both straightforward and easy, which serves greatly towards increasing the SAFFIR’s overall flexibility. What’s more, the closed ink cup guarantees an odour-free working environment, keeps the ink longer at its proper viscosity, and allows the ink cup to be topped up without it having to be removed from the machine. Keeping your SAFFIR clean is simple, self-evident, and will not take you more than but a few moments.
In order to optimise your printing efficiency, the SAFFIR comes with an omni-directional magnetic pad holder, greatly facilitating moving the pad virtually anywhere in the horizontal plane to ensure pin-point printing accuracy. The ink take-up and printing strokes are consistently fast and precise.
