Their efficient design and reliable performance make the W&B handguns series ideal for manually dispensing of all kinds of thermoplastic materials. Typical applications include packaging, hand case sealing, wood work, palletizing, and product assembly. It is suitable for use with any of standard adhesive application systems with piston pumps as well as with gear pump. They are available in 2 executions (bead or spray type). The exterior of the handgun is of sturdy, moulded design to enclose the high temperature parts with minimum transfer of heat to the operator’s hand. The guns are also equipped with a 360-degree swivel connector that eliminate hose twisting. It has also an easy pull trigger fitted with a lock to prevent inadvertent operation when laid down. Sterile spray guns and counterpart of series DBG-CSP have double shutoff feature and are suited for one-hand operation. Their design prevents liquids from spilling and air from entering the line system when the connection is separated or made.
The GMP compliant design of the guns' interior enables all requirements linked with inline sterilization to be satisfied. Since the fluids are washing around all inner components product deposits are reliably removed. All components in contact with product have hand- and electropolished surfaces with peak-to-valley height of 0.8 mm. The inner contour without dead spaces creates optimum flow conditions so that maximum throughput can be achieved at low pressure drops. The spray guns can be easily plugged into the system even if pressure acts on both ends.
