Overview
Moxa's CP-114UL/UL-I series of multiport serial boards are designed to be used by industrial automation system integrators for long distance, multi-point, PC-based data acquisition applications. On-chip Automatic Data Direction Control for precision RS-485 communication requires precise timing control to enable and disable the line driver. The Moxa Turbo Serial EngineTM chip that powers the CP-114UL/UL-I boards come with on-chip ADDC, which makes RS-485 as easy to use as RS-232. In RS-485 mode, the serial port can connect up to 31 daisy-chained RS-485 devices within a range of 1.2 km. For long distance RS-485 communication, 2 KV optical isolation protections are available to prevent equipment damage.

Moxa continues to support a wide variety of operating systems, and the CP-114UL/UL-I boards are no exception. Reliable Windows COM and Linux/Unix TTY drivers are provided for all Moxa boards, and other operating systems, such as WEPOS, are also supported for embedded integration.

As a Universal PCI card, PBpro PCI is compatible with both the 5 V signal levels of traditional PCs and the 3.3 V signals used primarily in modern server PCs. The small form factor of the one-channel card means it can also be used in compact "low-profile" systems.
The one-channel PBpro PC/104plus card is particularly suited to use in compact industrial computer systems in the PC/104 format. In keeping with the development of this standard, the card uses Universal PCI as the interface to the CPU board. The card also has an ISA interface which is passively passed on to the many peripheral cards which still require it.
All of the cards mentioned work as a PROFIBUS master or slave and support DP-V0, DP-V1 and DP-V2. Furthermore, any number of other PROFIBUS applications can be realized through an FDL interface. The package includes drivers for Windows XP and 2000. Other operating system drivers are currently in preparation.
Connections to the application can be established directly through the application programming interface (API), which is compatible with the other PROFIBUS cards from Softing; the programming examples that are included make integration easy. Additional software products are also offered which enable connections to visualizations (via the PROFIBUS OPC server).

The new products are low-profile, RS-232C serial communication boards compliant with PCI Express. The board can expand asynchronous RS-232C serial communication ports on a PC with a PCI Express compliant slot. The board is available in three models different in the number of on-board RS-232C serial communication ports: 1-channel type "COM-1C-LPE", 2-channel type "COM-2C-LPE", and 4-channel type "COM-4C-LPE".
The three new models support high-speed communication at up to 921,600 bps. The bundled driver software can be used for Windows and Linux to recognize the on-board ports as OS's standard COM ports, allowing them to be set as COM1 to COM256. The board has high-capacity FIFO buffer memory: 128-byte transmit buffer and 128-byte receive buffer. The FIFO buffer memory can be adjusted in buffer size for starting data transmission/reception. You can optimize the buffer size for each application, for example by increasing the buffer size to reduce the CPU load or decreasing it to improve realtimeness.

Description
The PCI GP-ECL board samples the data on the rising edge of the clock and stores it in host memory by the PCI GP-ECL DMA. It provides a simple, flexible low cost solution for Telemetry, Satellite and Monitoring applications.

Description
The GX3500 is a user configurable FPGA 3U PXI card which offers 160 digital I/O signals for specific application needs. The card employs the Altera Cyclone III FPGA which can support clock rates up to 150 MHz and features over 55,000 logic elements and 2.34 Mb of memory. The GX3500 can also accept an expansion card assembly which can be used to customize the interface to the UUT eliminating the need for additional external boards which are cumbersome and physically difficult to integrate into a test system. The design of the FPGA is done by using Alteras free Quartus II Web Edition tool set. Once the user has compiled the FPGA design, the image can be loaded into the FPGA via the PXI bus interface or via an on-board EEROM.
