The AvaSpec-2048 Fiber Optic Spectrometer is based on the AvaBench-75 symmetrical Czerny-Turner design with 2048 pixel CCD Detector Array. The spectrometer has a fiber optic entrance connector (standard SMA, others possible), collimating and focusing mirror and diffractional grating. A choice of 15 different gratings with different dispersion and blaze angles enable applications in the 200-1100nm range. The AvaSpec-2048 can be delivered with 2 platforms of electronics with 14 bit AD converter; either with USB1.1 or the new USB2.0 interface. The AvaSpec-2048 is especially suitable for low light level and high resolution applications. An optional detector coating enhances the CCD performance for the UV range and a detector collection lens offers high sensitivity. Digital IO ports enable external triggering and control of shutter and pulsed light sources from the Avantes line of instruments.

The evaluation of the Cuvette Tests is the ultimate in simplicity. Just insert the cuvette - everything else is automatic.
A laser identifies the cuvette from its barcode. As the cuvette rotates, it is measured 10 times. Any readings that are distorted by soiling on the cuvette are automatically eliminated. The measurement result is shown immediately in mg/l. All without even having to push a button! And there is much more to the DR 2800. Measurements can be carried out in the open cuvette compartment, thus saving time.
Interference from background light is eliminated by the innovative optical system. The generously proportioned backlit graphic touchscreen makes operating child's play. Clearly organised menus guide the user easily to his goal, and user methods can be quickly programmed. In the field, the backlighting can be switched off to save energy, allowing up to 40 hours of battery-powered operation. There is storage capacity for 50 user-specific tests and up to 500 measured values. The USB port facilitates lightning fast updates and data backups. The DR 2800 is available on its own or as a complete portable laboratory.

Jenway have added the 67 Series, split beam spectrophotometers to their range to meet the demands of your laboratory. Secure Multi-User operation enables individuals, groups, laboratories or shifts to protect their work with a PIN code, while within this, methods can be designated Private, Read-Only or Public, ensuring procedures and valuable data can not be corrupted or used without authorisation or training.
The Model 6700 covers the visible wavelength range with a spectral bandwidth (SBW) of 4nm, the Model 6705 covers the UV/visible wavelength range with the same SBW, while the Model 6715 meets the EP/USP requirements with a SBW of 1.5nm across the UV/visible wavelength range.
Their large, colour touch-screen display ensures the fastest response to operator input and the clearest presentation of options and results. A sealed QWheelTM is provided for fine cursor control or scrolling. With this cutting-edge user interface and novel operating system the 67 series offer the simplest, most intuitive operation in their class.
Even the most basic configuration will store over 1000 methods and results on the internal memory, while in excess of 8000 can be saved with extended memory. In addition to this all methods, settings and user preferences can be saved on removable SD memory cards, making it easy to back-up all your work, while copying it (cloning) to other instruments will ensure identical operation in related labs. The new SD/USB memory card makes transfer to a remote PC a very simple task. Quite simply this new range is both Your Spectrophotometer and Everyone’s Spectrophotometer. |

The QE65000 Scientific-grade Spectrometer is a novel combination of detector, optical bench and electronics technologies that provides users with a remarkably sensitive system for demanding low-light level applications such as fluorescence, DNA sequencing, astronomy and Raman spectroscopy. The QE65000 can achieve up to 90% quantum efficiency with high signal-to-noise and rapid signal processing speed.
The QE65000 is the most sensitive spectrometer we have ever developed. The Hamamatsu FFT-CCD detector used in the QE65000 provides 90% quantum efficiency (defined as how efficiently a photon is converted to a photo-electron). Most of our other detectors are linear CCDs but with this “2D” area detector, we can bin (or sum) a vertical row of pixels, which offers significant improvement in the signal-to-noise ratio (>1000:1) and signal processing speed of the detector compared with a linear CCD, where signals are digitally added by an external circuit. |

The Biowave DNA has been specifically designed for life science applications and is a powerful tool for the laboratory that requires a dedicated instrument for the determination of nucleic acid purity and concentration, protein concentrations or cell density measurements. The system utilises Gifford Optics for high energy throughput, a Xenon light source for long lamp lifetimes together with simple selection software and large graphical display for ease of use and data interpretation. The stored methods include DNA, RNA and oligonucleotide calculations, protein assays such as direct UV measurement, BCA, Biuret, Bradford and Lowry and cell density measurement. Unlike many dedicated life science instruments the Biowave DNA can also measure Absorbance or concentration at any wavelength so there is complete flexibility for future applications.
For added convenience it is possible to display a scan of the nucleic acid profile which is particularly useful for RNA samples where impurities may be present in the 230 nm region, yet not have an adverse effect on the 260/280 Absorbance ratio. The system is compatible with both Quartz and disposable low volume UV cuvettes. Results may be printed to an optional integrated high quality graphical printer for a permanent record or exported via a USB connection to a suitable PC running optional Print Via Computer (PVC) software for advanced reporting or data storage. |
