MAC Amplifier-Controller-Combination
As a compact cost effective unit, the MAC is designed to provide a closed loop control functions for strain gauge transducers (e. g. web tension measurement).
The MAC is optimized for use in electrical cabinets. There it can be DIN rail mounted or directly to a mounting plate.
The enclosure of the MAC contains an amplifier and controller.
The amplifier supplies the auxiliary power to the strain gauge transducers and conditions the output signals. Two voltage outputs with different filters are available.
The independent function of the current output can be connected either to the high or low dampened voltage output. The external use of as 10 Volts / 20 mA signal converter is also possible.
The PID components of the controller can be individually adjusted and also partially switched off. Additional adder and multiplier circuits enable the processing of other signals, e. g. diameter signal.
24 volts control signals can shut off the controller portion or gradually activate or deactivate the output signal.

Libratherm offers Four new models of PID controllers ,Model PID-723,PID-966,PID-948 and PID-489. These are indigenously designed and developed using the latest microcontroller chip and programmed with the time tested and field proven PID algorithm. PID controllers are mainly used for the precise process control. Unlike On/Off type of oscillatory control, PID control action gives smooth and steady state control. These model offers, all the useful features which are required to control the complex system.
These models accept factory set single or dual fixed input or the user selectable universal input. The control action is user selectable as PID or On/Off for both direct and reverse or Heat and Cool action . Control outputs are given in the form of optically isolated DC pulse to drive external SSR, Triac or AC SSR to operate AC operated load, electro mechanical relay and/or linear analog output. The analog output levels can also be configured for (0-20)mA or (4-20)mA or (0-5) / (0-10) volt using the front panel key board, In brief, PID-723, PID-948 and PID-489 provides 4 switching outputs and 2 analog outputs whereas PID-966 provides 6 switching and two analog outputs. Both Auto and manual tuning of PID values makes the controller versatile and user friendly. The model PID-723,PID-948 and PID-489 being small in size, can easily be accommodated in small size equipments. One Ramp/Soak function allows user to gradually increase the set value and hold the process value for desired soak time.

Libratherm offers Microprocessor based Eight loop PID Temperature Controller (Model PID-8000) for processes requiring multiple zones heating or heating plus cooling control. It is most suitable for difficult process, which results in frequent system disturbances, and applications where accurate temperature of number of heating/cooling zone is required. It also eliminates the need for number of individual PID or ON/OFF Temperature Controllers thereby saves on panel size and cost. PID-8000 can accept 8 Thermocouples or RTD (Pt-100) inputs and can provide switching PID or ON/OFF Control output in the form of DC Pulses or SSR Drivers for heating as well as cooling. It can also simultaneously provide 8 analog PID control Outputs in the form of (4-20mA) or (0-5) volt, which can be used to drive external SCR Heater Power Controller or other actuators. Open or Faulty sensor indications for each zone is also displayed with the respective Zone No.
In short, PID-8000 is as good as 8 independent PID controllers.

DESCRIPTION:
Libratherm offers Microprocessor based Eight Zone PID Temperature indicator / Controller (Model PRC-8000)where accurate temperature control of multiple zone during Gradual Heating and Cooling is required. Each zone can be independently programmed for 16 steps of Ramp/Soak profile. Each loop parameters like PID, Hysteresis, Deviation Hold, Facility to skip unused channel etc can be programmed from the user-friendly front panel membrane keyboard.
PRC 8000 accepts 8 Thermocouples or RTD(Pt-100)3 wire inputs and can provide switching PID or ON/OFF Control output in the form of DC Pulses or SSR or relay to drive external load contactors. It can simultaneously provide 8 analog PID control outputs in the form of (4-20)mA or (0-5)volt, which can be used to control heater power through Thyristor power pack.
PRC-8000 is ideally suited for on line pre and post welding heat treatment cycle. Where the large size jobs are heated by local heating pads. Temperatures are sensed using 6 to 8 K type thermocouples fitted at different points. The common program is run for all inputs and to ensure the uniform heating cycle, the PRC-8000 offers special feature of common or individual deviation hold facility, thereby the guaranteed ramp/soak controlled is achieved. Libratherm offers ready to use panel with input/output and supply connections.
The serial interface of RS-485 in Modbus protocol is also available for operating the controller from remote computer, SCADA or DCS system.

These are advanced controls offering the ramp/soak programmability with PID control outputs.. It is possible to control the temperature as per the desired rate of heating / cooling with the required soaking time. Different models offers different features with the facility to program 1 to 10 patterns of sixteen ramp/soak steps, which can be permanently stored in the internal non-volatile memory. The controller accepts Thermocouple or Pt-100 or mV/mA signal as the input and provides control output in the form of DC pulse, 4-20mA, 0-5V etc.. to operate various control devices such as Relay, Contactors, Motorized valves, Thyristor power pack etc...
All the models are available with serial RS485 output on MODBUS protocol and can be hooked to the computer.
