Brevini's in-line or right angle planetary gearboxes can be used in a wide range of industrial equipment and mobile applications. They are based upon a flexible modular system and are available with either male or female output shaft configurations.
The male configuration (cylindrical or splined) is used where side or axial loads are acting upon the output shaft. The female configuration is used to transmit purely torque and is employed where space is limited. The flange mounted gearboxes are supported by a wide range of accessories. These include: adaptors for electric and hydraulic motors, multidisc failsafe brakes and male input shaft configurations.

The "S Series" is the optimum proposal for all applications requiring high torque with minimum dimensions, on fixed industrial equipment and also self-propelled machines. This epicyclic solution is preferable to solutions with traditional gear units as it offers an improvement of 40-60% in terms of space and weight.
With its many output versions, numerous input possibilities and all the accessories supplied, the "S Series" extends the application possibilities of Brevini epicyclic gear units to all industrial sectors.
The main characteristics of this new Brevini Riduttori range are:

Brevini Riduttori has introduced a range of ATEX compliant planetary gearboxes suitable for applications in zones where explosive atmospheres may occur, and also zones characterised by the presence of gas mixtures and/or combustible powders (zones 1,2,21,22). Every ATEX compliant Brevini gearbox undergoes a special painting cycle to avoid the problem of electrostatic discharge, and is supplied with a specific User Instruction Manual and Conformity Statement according to CEE94/9/CE Directive, Enclosure VIII.

WHEEL DRIVES
Compact planetary wheel drives, designed for a wide range of self propelled vehicles with hydraulic transmission and individually motorised wheel drives.
They allow design engineers to simplify the project of mobile equipment, improving the price / performance ratio. The wide range of ratios available makes it possible to adapt the reduction unit to the most suitable hydraulic transmission. A manual release is provided, to disconnect the reduction unit from the motor for emergency towing. The versatility of this range of Brevini products is assured by a wide choice of braking systems (drum brakes, negative acting multiple disc, failsafe parking brake).
TRACK DRIVES
Compact planetary track drive units designed for use on tracked vehicles. This range of gearboxes has high strength structure, short overall length, very high radial and axial load capability. All the gearboxes are provided with integral multidisc failsafe brake and allow the direct mounting of hydraulic motors at the gearbox input.Due to the high torque rating and the quality of the materials, these units are the best solution in heavy duty applications.
Brevini produces the track drives also in gearmotor version, with integrated hydraulic motors.

Onvio's authentic planetary, AP, provides designers with the greatest positioning accuracy and highest torsional stiffness, along with the lowest backlash gearbox available. The AP design incorporates single or two stages of planetary gearing to create five frames sizes with rated torque from 40 Nm up to 900 Nm. Standard backlash is 5 - 8 arc minutes and reduced backlash is 3 - 5 arc minutes, so designers can choose the appropriate level of precision for each application. The GH is a very compact, highly rigid reducer with low backlash (6 arc-min max.) and high output speed capabilities (250 rpm max.). True Zero Backlash Onvio reducers are designed with cantilevered needle bearing cam followers and rollers- not with pins and bushings found in other cycloidal designs. This allows for a controlled pre-load between the cam and cam followers, assuring zero backlash. This design permits the pre-load to be maintained throughout the L10 life of the bearings.
High Torsional Stiffness With every cam follower in contact at all times, the load is equally shared. This guarantees consistently high torsional rigidity independent of load position.
Accuracy All bearings are precision class bearings. The cam follower bolt circles are held concentric to 0.0002". This gives positional accuracies down to seconds of arc.
Low Compact Profile Onvio reducers offer a hollow bore input and low profile design. Coupled to a pancake motor, they can be installed in the smallest of spaces.
