PPC Vacuum Conveyors:
Your first choice for the Conveying of Pharmaceuticals and Pigments
PPC pneumatic pharma conveyors from Volkmann were especially developed for all those applications, which require top quality materials, surfaces and characteristics of all parts, which come in contact with the conveyed materials. They are mainly used inside Pharmaceutical and Color/Lacquer industries because of their separator elements being built in a one-piece design - an optimum for such applications with frequent product changes, which require a quick reliable absolute cleaning of the Process machinery to prevent contamination of products. PPCs superior manufacturing quality and their gap-free design fulfils highest quality demands. Nevertheless, they are easily taken into pieces by hand without tools and can be cleaned quickly and can be sterilized.
The design is completely electrical conductive, free of gaps and doesn't have any inaccessible spaces where the product might remain. PPC conveyors come with a huge butterfly valve at the discharge, which can be taken to pieces without tools.
PPC Vacuum Conveyors are offered as pre-configured units regarding the individual application. They are available in the diameters 170, 250, 315 and 450 mm. You can choose from different Pharma- or electrical-conductive filter systems (e.g. for the feeding of products into Zone 0 of reactors). Special coatings or clamp modules are available upon your request.

VARIJECTOR® Jet Pumps, Blowers and Injectors
Varijector® jet pumps are ejectors driven by an interior ring nozzle, with free unblocked passage between the vacuum inlet and the blowing air outlet of the ejector pump. The pumps are driven by compressed air or other gases (e.g. Nitrogen). The compressed air is blown through a ring gab an directed diagonally inward in vacuum-flow direction. High turbulences of the blowing air catch surrounding air, both are blown into a internal diffuser nozzle.
Varijectors are available with inner diameters from Ø 5 to 50 mm and reach a maximum vacuum from -10 to -70 kPa.
They are generally suitable for injecting bulk materials and gases, for low positive pressure blow conveying, for mixing gases, for the textile fabric handling (threads), for wire and tubing drying process and for producing high volumes of blowing air, as they multiply the used compressed medium (e.g. for blowing of sheets, papers, cooling and process technique).
The ring-nozzle inside Varijector jet pumps is freely adjustable. So vacuum, air consumption and mixing ratio can be adjusted in a wide range freely.
VOLKMANN Varijectors are available in different materials e.g. in aluminium, stainless steel, high temperature steel, PE, PP.
Individual designs with special diameters and materials can be manufactured upon request.

Streamtek's compressed air operated Air Conveyor connects to standard tube, hose or pipe to create a powerful in-line conveyor. There are 6 sizes available in both aluminum and stainless steel to fit standard hose diameter for easy clamping. Threaded versions connect easily to regular pipe thread: 1" (25mm), 1-1/4" (32mm), 1-1/2" (38mm), 2" (51mm), 2-1/2" (64mm), and 3" (76mm). Special sizes can be manufactured if required.

The justifications for vacuum conveying are its simplicity of operation, ability to negotiate lengthy and tortuous routes and the hygienic transfer of materials. Product is conveyed from a feed source to a delivery point suspended in a stream of gas - usually air. When particulate materials are metered into an air-stream at an optimum solids to air ratio, the differential air pressure generated via a vacuumpump creates a high enough velocity to move the materials within the conveying tube.

Hot melt adhesives have increased production, reduced waste and costs, and improved product appearance throughout industry.
Supplied in solid pellet form hot melts or glue chips are traditionally stored in small-capacity containers or cartons. For use in packaging or product assembly the pellets are manually emptied into a hopper directly above the melt tank or adhesive applicator. Operators, are exposed to fumes and splashes of hot molten glue.

GF PRIMUS metal separation systems remove magnetic and non-magnetic metal particles (steel, stainless steel, aluminium etc) from pneumatically conveyed bulk materials such as granulates and reground material. Metal contaminants (and inclusions) are removed by means of a reject flap (‘Quick Flap System’) without any interruption to the material flow, even at high flow rates.. Contaminated material is rejected into a container. The reject container is emptied automatically. The GF PRIMUS metal separation system is primarily used in industries where hygiene standards are less important. It is used for inspecting dry bulk materials.

RD F range
The RD F range can be used for conveying of light and non-abrasive bulk.
The blower parts are made of aluminium cast, the impellers are made of welded sheet steel. The solid construction of the practically maintenance
free medium pressure blowers is the basis for a long lasting service life and low operation cost. Inspection and cleaning may only be carried out at these blowers by unscrewing the housing cover plate. All drive motors are made to IP 54 enclosure, class F thermal insulation and comply with EN 60034-1 (VDE 530 Part 1). The motor power is oversized in order to have sufficient reserve for the conveying.

In addition, beyond 3", the vacuum ability begins to drop significantly except for highly intermittent applications. For applications beyond 3", a blower system often becomes far more economical except in a rare number of possible applications. However, larger size versions are available if required as well as special sizes.
