Custom designs are available. The Airpel cylnder can be modified to accomodate non standard length, stroke, materials and performance. The Airpel Air Cylinder does away with any perceptible stiction. And reduces running friction to exceedingly low levels. This gives it the unique ability to impart super smooth motion – motion smoother than any other air cylinder. Even at very low pressures. Even at very slow speeds. Even with very short strokes. Even after standing idle for years! How do you account for this remarkable performance? The Airpel incorporates a unique construction to become an instrument-quality air cylinder. It uses a precision fit graphite piston which slides freely – without lubrication – inside a Pyrex® glass cylinder. This makes it ideal for forces from a very few grams to 30 lbs. or more. In fact, Airpel is particularly well-suited to applications requiring smooth motion at ultra-low pressures – and to moving lightweight objects or delicate loads at slow or high speeds. But this air cylinder is no weakling. It can be used to provide brute forces, too – operating under extreme temperatures, at very high speeds and cycle rates, with no degradation in performance. It also runs cleaner than typical air cylinders because it contains no oil. What’s more, it has no rubber or plastic seals to abrade, wear out, or harden with time. And because all exposed surfaces (except pivot model bushings) are stainless steel and nickel, Airpel is extremely clean and corrosion resistant.

Integrated double effect cylinder Ø20 to 50 mm
Precise and sturdy guide: great resistance to radial load (conveyor thrust…)
Compact, strong, and precise, they resolve all small stroke where rigidity is required
|
|
Twin Bore Cylinders
Small cross-section, double-bore cylinder that provides highly accurate linear motion.
Incorporates extra long piston rod bearings, resulting in high radial load capacity.
Single and double end rod units are available in both Delrin® and ball bushing styles. The highly precise Air Table incorporates a rigid linear rail with recirculating ball bearings.
3 Cylinders in the series: Basic Twin Bore (TB), Double End Twin Bore (TBD), and Twin Bore Air Table (TBA)
TB: Dual bores exert twice the fore of a traditional cylinder while providing smooth, non-rotating actuation. The cylinder is symmetric and can be mounted from either side to allow convenient port access.
TBD: Double rod end provides a saddle-mount unit with improved loading and resistance to deflection.
TBA: Smooth, precise movement is achieved via integration of a highly accurate recirculating ball bushing rail.
Options available for Side Mounting Holes and Shock Absorbers.

The Slide Units Séries QCTF - QCBF are available in four différent sizes and hâve been designed to be used in (applications where space is limited and when the load must be guided. Regarding the bearings, the Slide Units are available in two versions, one with double sintered bronze bushes (Mod. QCTF) and the other with double linear bail bearings (Mod. QCBF). The QCTF version would normally be selected when the side loads applied to the slide unit are high. Model QCBF slide units are suitable for fast cycles (less side load) and higher précision. Regarding the end cushion: The Slide Units Séries QCTF - QCBF are available in three différent variants:
A. fixed mechanical cushion (standard),
B. with two shock absorbers located on the body and
C. with one shock absorber located central on the rear flange.
Accordingly, the variant B and C are suitable for
handling of higher mass forces and / or when it's
necessary to adjust the stroke.
The design of the Slide Unit body allows the moun-
ting of the Slide Unit using either top, bottom or
side faces.
Several T shaped grooves in two faces allow
magnetic sensors Mod. CST to be fitted in a number
of positions.

Non-Rotating Air Cylinders
* Bimba’s new Non-Rotating Original Line stainless steel body air cylinder design consists of a unique square piston rod with rounded corners. The square rod prevents rotation better than other rod configurations, and the rounded corners provide longer seal life than conventional hexagon rods. The unusual geometry of the square rod also provides superior rotation control.
* All bore sizes have a rotational control of less than or equal to ±3 degrees. Bore sizes for the non-rotating cylinders are 9/16", 3/4", 1-1/16", 1-1/2", 2", and 2-1/2".
* The special high strength aluminum alloy rod guide provides high load carrying capability and abrasion resistance. The urethane-based rod seal provides excellent seal life and leak-free service.
* The Non-Rotating Original Line cylinder is dimensionally interchangeable with the standard Original Line stainless steel cylinder.
* Available in Double Acting and Reverse Acting models.
