ISO/VDMA Series Metric Standard Interchangeable Cylinder
The ISO/VDMA Series is an aluminum body air cylinder line that is designed to meet all your international cylinder requirements. In fact, our ISO/VDMA Series cylinders are designed to meet the requirements of ISO 6431 (International) and VDMA 24562 (Germany). GeoMetric® ISO/VDMA Cylinder
The GeoMetric® Series conforms to the following cylinder specifications: VDMA 24562, DIN/ISO 6431, and ISO/FDIS 15552. One of the most desirable features of the cylinder line is the dual switch/sensor groove design that is a standard offering on all GeoMetric®cylinders. Air Cylinders with Adjustable Cushions
The Bimba Air Cylinders with adjustable cushions have a readily accessible cushion needle for easy adjustment, double acting models, and a 304 stainless steel body with mirror finish I.D.
High strength aluminum alloy porting ends and ground and roller burnished 303 stainless steel piston rods come standard. Also, the air cylinders have Buna N "U" Cup Seals, low breakaway friction - less than 5 PSI - and special stroke lengths available on request.
Air cylinders come in 3/4", 1-1/16", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", and 3" bore sizes.
Bimba's cylinders with air cushions provide a possible solution to destructive energies. The air cushion traps a small amount of exhaust air at the end of stroke, providing an air pocket that decelerates the load. This reduces the potentially destructive energy being transmitted to the cylinder and other components.

Z Line Air Cylinders
The Bimba Z Line Air Cylinders are for extremely tough applications.
The Z-Line air cylinder has the rolled-in construction of the Original Line but features the following: Larger diameter, two-piece 303 stainless steel piston rod HEX-STUD rod end thread of heat treated alloy steel - easily removed in case of failure due to overload, and cushion quiet elastomer bumpers.
No charge options include the Magnalube G, Molycoated body, and magnet.
Bore sizes for the Z Line cylinders are 3/4", 1-1/16", 1-1/2", and 2".

Hole Punch Cylinders
Designed to punch millions of holes in plastic or other thin sheet materials 2 to 3 mils thick, the long-life BIMBA Pneumatic Hole Puncher will give you more cycles per penny.
The hardened steel cutter with ground razor sharp edges is an integral part of the cylinder. A small air jet ejects the slugs from the cutter preventing slug build up, and Elastomer Bumpers insure cushion quiet operation.
Less than 1" in diameter, several cylinders can be closely mounted. Available in seven hole cutter sizes from 1 / 4 " to 5 / 8".
This stainless steel body, single acting spring return cylinder has a 3 / 4" bore and 1" stroke. A nickel plated steel rod guide is threaded for easy nose mounting, and a 1 / 8" NPT air inlet is conveniently located in the rear head.
Prelubricated with HT-99, the cylinder can be operated with ordinary shop air at pressures up to 250 psi.

* The Bimba MRS® Magnetic Reed Switch Air Cylinders are specifically designed to operate Bimba position sensing switches to actuate programmable controllers, relays, solenoids, timers, or any other electrically operated equipment.
* MRS cylinders have an additional groove in the piston to accommodate a magnet. They differ from the Moption because they combine features of the "Z" line with Original Line construction. Type 303 stainless steel rods are standard.

For customers desiring electrical output of piston position, most Airpel models are offered with an optional switch-activating magnet on the piston, as well as one or more optional aluminum tracks attached to the cylinder. The tracks are specially designed for easy, secure mounting of the Sick, Inc. position sensors which we offer separately. We stock popular models of these extremely reliable GMR sensors along with matching accessory extension cables.
The Airpel incorporates a unique construction to become an instrument-quality air cylinder. It uses a precision fit graphite piston which slides freely – without lubrication – inside a Pyrex® glass cylinder. This makes it ideal for forces from a very few grams to 30 lbs. or more. In fact, Airpel is particularly well-suited to applications requiring smooth motion at ultra-low pressures – and to moving lightweight objects or delicate loads at slow or high speeds. But this air cylinder is no weakling. It can be used to provide brute forces, too – operating under extreme temperatures, at very high speeds and cycle rates, with no degradation in performance. It also runs cleaner than typical air cylinders because it contains no oil. What’s more, it has no rubber or plastic seals to abrade, wear out, or harden with time. And because all exposed surfaces (except pivot model bushings) are stainless steel and nickel, Airpel is extremely clean and corrosion resistant.

Turn-Dex is a rotary actuator with an internal unidirectional clutch. The output shaft rotates in one direction only and remains at end of stroke while the actuator is reversed. Turn-Dex is available in two series: the Comp-Act, incorporating the Comp-Act actuator and the Turn-Act, incorporating the Turn-Act actuator.

APPLICATION CONSIDERATIONS:
Overrun: The output shaft can be manually rotated only in its drive direction. Large loads may coast after the actuator has stopped. The output shaft cannot be reverse rotated- Forcing it backwards could damage the Turn-Dex.
Accurate & Repeatabte Positioning: Due to the overrun nature of the clutch external stops, brakes, ro«er and detents or shot-pins is required for accurate and repeatable positioning.
Special Options: Turn-Act will provide customized units to fit your specific application needs. Modifications include special shafting, special mounts, dutch housings with shot-pin cylinders, disc brakes and thrust protection. Consult your Turn Act distributor for additional information.

Ultran Rodless Cylinders
The Bimba Ultran rodless cylinder provides one of the highest coupling strengths available. This means it can carry higher loads without causing the piston to uncouple from the carriage.
Bimba also offers two magnetic coupling strength options (Gold and Silver) to suit a wide variety of applications. The Silver option uses two sets of magnets instead of three.
