The MDM300 is a high-speed dew point portable hygrometer which uses Michells ceramic impedance sensor and state-of-the-art thin and thick film techniques. Operation of the sensor depends upon the adsorption of water vapour into a porous, non-conducting sandwich between two conductive layers built on top of a base ceramic substrate. The MDM300 provides the fastest spot check measurement of dew point or moisture content in a small portable instrument and is packed with features and intelligent engineering.
The user-friendly MDM300 offers an extremely fast response speed and an accurate and stable measurement. The hygrometer has data-logging and built in sampling components as standard and a range of optional accessories are available such as a stand-alone sampling system and a professional carry case.
The MDM300 uses the latest Bluetooth wireless technology to offer a quick and easy assembly and downloading process. With a choice of four different sampling arrangements (from fixed orifices for low pressure to high quality configurable sampling systems for high pressure), the MDM300 offers a cost effective and easily portable service to the user. The MDM300 is able to connect to external sensors to measure dew-point, temperature and pressure and also to re-calibrate other Michell Instruments such as the Easidew Transmitter. Q & A:
A room has an ambient room air temp of 70 Deg F, followed by a brief period at 50 Deg F for 5 seconds, then returning back to 70 Deg F again. Will the meter be able detect this temperature change and display it as a minimum reading ?.
I did an experiment on DTM-550 at the out flow gate of air conditioner from room
temperature of 78.8 deg F( 26 deg C).
The reading 59 deg F ( 15 deg C) takes 5 seconds.
The reading 50 deg F should take around 10 seconds.
There is no minimum reading button for DTM-550 but you can have " Hold" function
to read what you measure.
Please note this unit is not available for Fahrenheit display and only for Celsius.

HI 9564 and HI 9565 are two new portable thermo-hydrometers designed to provide excellent performance in harsh environments and poorly lit areas.
A microchip built into the RH probe, HI 70602, can store calibration data. When the probe is connected to another hygrometer, the microchip transfers the stored calibration data and eliminates the need to recalibrate the instrument.
Both instruments feature auto-off after 20 minutes of inactivity, temperature readings in Celsius and Fahrenheit, and on-line help to indicate anomalies and direct procedures.
In addition to RH and temperature, HI 9565 will display the dew point with the press of a button. The dew point indicates the presence of water vapor in the air at a given temperature. With this feature HI 9565 permits useful and rapid environmental monitoring where a controlled microclimate is necessary, like greenhouses, museums, clean rooms and laboratories.
