Trimming presses are available in standard models for swan-neck, pillar and arch type presses.
Design :
This 100-tonne trimming application is a press supplied by a robot working in fully automatic mode. The robot places the part in the tool and then returns to its position for gripping the next part.
The slide is lowered to perform the trimming function. The trimmed materials drop through the lower support on to a conveyor belt and is remove to a container. The slide return to its upper neutral point with the part.
The part is ejected into a transfer shovel which place it in a RH or LH sorting selector. |

Tryout presses
Our tryout presses are designed for rapid and efficient die tryout. Special attention has been paid to protecting the machine from abrasive projections from grinders used by the operators.
Simple and user-friendly operation of these machines is facilitated by the use of PLC's connected to control keyboards and screens which give an immediate overall view of the work being carried out. These machines are very accurate and user-friendly but also robust and reliable, and they can be converted into production presses, thus considerably reducing the investment burden. Our research and development teams can provide various solutions to turn one of these presses into a general-purpose machine.

Direct acting pneumatic presses
DA series
Direct acting pneumatic presses develop their power
uniformly over the entire length of the stroke.
Where higher forces are involved, the energy-saving tandem
cylinder type is used. This type optimises compressed
air consumption, since the return stroke is performed
by only one cylinder chamber. Because the air
input takes place inside the pneumatic cylinder, the
press can only be operated with 2 air connections.
All direct acting pneumatic presses are available as an
automation module or can be supplied with mäder controls
(see Page 23) for individual workstations.
Further quality features:
- hardened anti-twist ram
- long, honed ram guide for highest precision
- three standard lengths of stroke
- simple height adjustment of the press head using
a threaded spindle
- side-mounted measuring strip for rapid repetition
of settings when changing tools
- virtually maintenance-free double-action cylinders
- low noise: under 75 dBA |
|
HP series
mäder hydro-pneumatic presses are operated only by compressed air, activating the hydraulic power stroke automatically. They combine the advantages of pneumatic and hydraulic presses.
During the pneumatically operated rapid stroke, the workpiece is approached rapidly at low power. The hydraulic power stroke commences automatically as soon as resistance is met. This is why the input energy is
used most economically with these models in particular.
Since mäder hydro-pneumatic presses do not require a hydraulic unit, they can be used even in the most confined spaces.
Further quality features:
- hardened anti-twist ram
- long, honed ram guide for highest precision
- two lengths of power stroke available
- simple height adjustment of the press head using
a bevel gear
- side-mounted measuring strip for rapid repetition of settings when changing tools
- simple triggering as with double-action pneumatic cylinder
- low noise: under 75 dBA |
|
TOGGLE PRESSES
Manual toggle presses with round ram
EP series
Toggle presses only produce their rated force at the end of
the stroke, the bottom dead centre (BDC). In doing so, the
high working pressure of the press is achieved using the toggle
mechanism with a relatively low effort (approximately
150 N) on the part of the user.
Toggle presses are therefore used where the full force of the
press is only required over a short distance at the end of the
working stroke, e.g. in assembling, punching, riveting,
stamping, gluing etc.
All mäder toggle presses are distinguished by the following
quality features:
- factory-set bottom dead centre (BDC)
- simple adjustment of the height of the press head
using a threaded spindle
- hardened and ground ram
- long, honed and therefore highly precise ram guide
- ground press tableC |
|
Pneumatic toggle presses
APK series
The optimum transmission ratios of the toggle press produce
high forces at the end of the stroke, ensuring low air consumption.
Thanks to the resultant low energy consumption,
mäder pneumatic toggle presses are an economical
means of production not only at the time of purchase, but
also in the long term.
All pneumatic toggle presses can be supplied with mäder
standard controls (see page 23) or with controls made to
customers' specification.
Further quality features:
- factory-set bottom dead centre (BDC)
- simple height adjustment of the press head using
a bevel gear
- side-mounted measuring strip for rapid repetition
of settings when changing tools
- virtually maintenance-free double-action cylinder
- low noise: under 75 dBA |

DIRECT ACTING PRESSES
Rack-and-pinion presses with round ram
APZ series
mäder rack-and-pinion presses transmit their pressing
force constantly over the entire length of the stroke.
Direct power transmission via the hand lever permits
extreme precision in the pressing operation.
The improved transmission ratio enables a higher compression
force to be achieved for the same force
applied.
The following quality features are characteristic of all
mäder rack-and-pinion presses:
- anti-twist ram
- infinitely adjustable stroke length:
Standard: via setting screw
MICRO: via micrometer screw
- Height adjustment of the press head using
a threaded spindle
- 360° infinitely adjustable hand lever
- adjustable return stroke power
Rack-and-pinion presses are therefore ideal for:
- pressing-in longer components and for
- jointing operations over long strokes |

Cold Isostatic Pressing (CIP) is a method of compacting powders into green bodies and near-net shaped in a pressure vessel. The powder, which can be metallic, ceramic or graphite, is sealed in a flexible mold shaped like the end product. High pressure is used up to 600 MPa (6,000 bar/87,000 psi) having water as pressure medium. A high and uniform density is achieved, resulting in easier handling, easier machining and even predictable shrinking during sintering.
CIP applications include compaction of powders into refractory nozzles, metal filters, graphite parts, ceramics, cemented carbides, etc.
Avure Technologies Isostatic presses are widely recognized as the leading brand in the world. This is due to the Company's technological superiority in a number of areas, particularly in the institutional knowledge related to engineering, design, manufacturing and the application of high pressure. Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) is a process that uniquely combines pressure and temperature to produce materials and parts with substantially better properties than other methods. The pressure medium is an inert gas, normaly Argon. Low temperature and high isostatic pressure, up to 300 MPa (3000 bar/44,000 psi), yield better controlled grain growth and structure as well as isotropic properties, which result in the superior performance characteristics typical for HIP'ed parts.
HIP applications include defect healing of castings, consolidation of metal powder (pre-form and near-net shaped parts), consolidation of ceramic powders, and sintering of diamond tools.
Avure Technologies Isostatic presses are widely recognized as the leading brand in the world. This is due to the Company's technological superiority in a number of areas, particularly in the institutional knowledge related to engineering, design, manufacturing and the application of high pressure. The first QUINTUS ® isostatic press was delivered in 1965.

Parts of car or truck body are produced on large mechanical presses.
The first press of this line is a machine for deep drawing operations.
Its drive can be eccentric (ram motion according to traditional sinus curve) or link-drive.
In this last case the slowing during the last descent parts makes the machine particularly able to perform heavy drawing operations, reducing shocks, minimizing stamping tears and tool overheating. |
