MSI sensor interface IC
The MSI integrated interface IC is a multi-channel Sensor interface IC. It generates dynamically to a maximum of 3 Sensor signals by means of current- and voltage- controlled resistance bridges (among other things switch- selectable input sensitivity) and provides subse-quent evaluation systems with A/D- converted signals via digital interface.
Furthermore, the IC enables the equalization of temperature due to an on Chip integrated temperature measurement or loadable reference charts. As well it supplies connected Sensors also with power supply specifications. The IC in particular distinguishes itself besides the on Chip integrated functionality by a high signal solution in the case of simultaneous stability as well as a low power consumption.
The IC is suitable for evaluation of differential Sensor signals, as those that are supplied by pressure sensors, Hall Sensors and Sensors, that work according to the principle of a resistance bridge (e.g. extension bridges, Piezo or Magneto-resistive Sensors). |

The differential pressure transmitters of the 985M series are used for measuring differential pressure, positive pressure and vacuum.
They offer 2 pressure ranges which can alternatively be selected by a jumper. The IP65 body protects the industrial pressure transducer even in difficult environments.
Monitoring gaseous, non-aggressive media. Possible areas of application are:
air-conditioning and clean rooms
building automation
environmental protection
fan and blower control
valve and flap control
filter and blower monitoring
fluid and level monitoring
control of air flows
For optimum adaptation to the pressure application, the
transmitter can be switched between two pressure ranges.
The factory setting is the sensitive range 1, which is selected
by fitting a jumper. Removing the jumper activates the
non-sensitive range 2.
The output signal of the 3-wire version is configurable. The
factory setting is for a 0 ...10 Volt output signal, but this can be
changed to 4 ... 20 mA by removing the jumper. The 2-wire
version is only available with a 4 ... 20 mA output signal. |

The 984M differential pressure measuring transmitters cover a pressure range from 0...100 Pa to max. 0...250 kPa. To ensure optimum adjustment to the respective pressure-related application, the models are equipped with multiple jumpers.
A new feature is the selectable output signal of 0…10 Volt or 4…20mA, which the user himself can set by means of a jumper on site during the installation.
The new model can also be automatically zeroed quite easily by the user himself. This is done by simply disconnecting the measuring transmitter from the pressure and pressing a button.
The ability to select between two different pressure ranges is already known from the previous model. Version 984M.323104b, for example, allows the user to select between the pressure ranges 0...250 and 0...500 Pascal.
A key advantage offered by the 984M.3x3114b model is the option of equipping it with a 3.5-digit LED display, whose brightly illuminated red figures can also be easily read in difficult conditions.

Industrial pressure sensors with Ceramic Elementfor relative pressure measurement
- good value
- linearity <0,5 %of full scale value
- 2-fold overpressure-safe
- high temperature resistance
- no mechanical ageing or creepage

Functional description
The series DSK pressure sensors are precise, temperature-stable but nonetheless good value units for measuring pressure in liquids and gases.
A new type of ceramic sensor forms the core of these units. It consists of a thin aluminium oxide industrial diaphragm, on the rear side of which thick-film resistors are fitted in a Wheatstone bridge circuit. For stabilisation purpose, this diaphragm is connected to a thicka luminium oxide baseplate and is mounted in an appropriate casing with threated connections. |

| SMD’s Peerless engineering team designs sensors for unique requirements and aggressive cost targets. Typical specialized requirements include small sizes, high temperature, low capacities, “Cenelec” dielectric, and overload proof sensors. |
|
| The ifm industrial pressure sensors are based on a ceramic measuring pressure cell which converts the measured quantity of pressure into a capacitive signal as a result of the deflection of a diaphragm. A microprocessor controls the evaluation of the electrical signal. For the efector 500 the system pressure is directly indicated on the unit by an LED display. |

"The surveillance of the working pressure in a system is a very important operation parameter in fluid power and lubrication systems.
Depending on the type or mode of the control system, the display and / or the indication of relevant pressure levels, different pressure limits or continuous readings are required. In many cases a variety of different sample points are controlled and displayed by pressure gages with digital displays at a centre point. Traditionally, these pressure switches are all hydraulically piped up to the sample points.
The Pressotronic now offers a more contemporary and simple method for reliable surveillance of system pressure.
Depending on the application we offer a choice of adjustable pressure switches with digital display directly installed at the sample point or versions with separate sample point industrial transmitters and remote control and display units. In this case, the transmitter and the displays are connected just by simple flexible ropes instead of inflexible pipes.
Both versions provide almost fully identical modules. The control and display unit features a three digit LED display with good readability even under poor visibility conditions. As a combined unit, the display can be positioned within an angle of 270° .
The control unit itself is designed for 35 mm rail mount. This allows to compile several units without additional installation materiel in cabinets.
The transmitter is available for stand alone with an analogue 4-20 mA output. |
