The SPC98 dry and flush mounted ceramic pressure sensor uses an aluminum oxide ceramic sensor as a "dry cell" that is extremely resistant to overload, aggressive mediums, extreme min/max temperature, applications with solid particles and low pressure ranges. These transmitter's are made in either 316 S.S. or Hastelloy C and provide a 4-20mA output signal. The SPC98 is designed to be installed at the bottom of the tank.
FEATURES
*Loop powered, 4-20mA signal output
*Measuring ranges -1 to 580PSI (-1 to 40 bar) gauge /absolute
*Ideal for waste water or other applications with "dirty" medium
*Rugged and compact design- Body entirely 316 S.S. or Hasteloy C
*High accuracy, Excellent repeatability & Temperature compensated
*3A approved
The actual measuring range of the SPC98 sensor is determined by the thickness of the ceramic diaphragm, which if overloaded, stops on the ceramic substrate without sustaining damage. Ceramic cells do not expand and contract nearly as much as metal, ensuring good temperature stability. Common features of the SPC98 are low hysteresis, high repeatability, immunity to the effects of process builds up and outstanding resistance to chemical attack.

Differential pressure transmitter with metal measuring diaphragm
Application area
The differential pressure transmitter VEGADIF 65 is used for various applications such as flow measurements in gases, vapours and liquids in conjunction with effective pressure transmitters. Also level measurements of liquids in pressurized vessels as well as pressure monitorings on filters and pumps are typical applications.
Advantages
Very good reproducibility and long-term stability
Deviation < 0.075 %
Comprehensive isolating diaphragm program
High resistance diaphragm materials
Product temperature up to 400 °C
Function
The separating diaphragms of the sensor are deflected by the existing pressures. The filling oil transmits the pressure to a semiconductor measuring bridge, the differential pressure dependent output signal of which is measured and further processed. The advantages of this sensor are the high system pressure up to 420 bar, the excellent longterm stability and the very high, unilateral overload resistance.
