The detection area of the OP-08C consists of 10 independent areas. By rotating a spherical lens, the size of the area can be easily adjusted between standard size and large size.
As the sensor is very small, it can be aesthetically fitted into the entrance surround. It can be embedded into a transom or ceiling up to 4m.
Use of proprietary sensors and microcontrollers reduce faulty movement due to rain, snow or insects.

Electro-Sensors Model 608-1 is an 8mm shielded proximity sensor.
The 608-1 is an active digital sensing device that generates one pulse per pass of an actuating target within its sensing field. No direct contact with the target material is necessary. Each sensor is entirely solid state with no moving parts to wear out. This provides for long life with little or no maintenance.
The wide range of supply voltages to the 600 Series permits them to be directly interfaced with low voltage solid state controls, such as programmable controllers and electromechanical relay loads. All sensors are polyurethane or epoxy encapsulated and are provided complete with mounting bracket, jam nuts, and 6 ft. of cable.
Features:
- Non-Contact Sensing
- Solid State-No Moving Parts
- Durable Corrosion Resistant Metal Housings
- High Speed Repeatability
- Short-Circuit and Reverse Polarity Protection
- Outputs CMOS Compatible
- Full Output Signal Down to Zero Hz
- LED Operation Indicator on all Models

The reed switch is an electrical switch operated by an applied magnetic field. It was invented at Bell Telephone Laboratories in 1936 by W. B. Elwood. It consists of a pair of contacts on ferrous metal reeds in a hermetically sealed glass envelope. The contacts may be normally open, closing when a magnetic field is present, or normally closed and opening when a magnetic field is applied.
A magnetic field (such as from an energized coil around the glass tube or a permanent magnet moved towards it) will cause the contacts to pull together, thus completing an electrical circuit. The stiffness of the reeds causes them to separate, and open the circuit, upon removal of the magnetic field. A more complicated configuration contains a nonferrous normally closed contact that opens when the ferrous normally open contact closes. Good electrical contact is assured by plating a thin layer of precious metal over the flat contact portions of the reeds.

The RPS-322 (model shown) has 2 sealed stainless steel multiplexed transducers, independent range control adjustments, LED indicators, and form C relay outputs.
The transducer head is constructed of 303 grade stainless steel with a 302 grade stainless steel sensing face, and is best suited for environments where dirt and moisture are a problem, as well as some chemical environments. This sensor also has a unique master and slave feature which enables many of the same units to be used within close proximity of one another without cross-talk interference. For example, if three sensors are needed in a close area, one sensor would be left as a master and the other two would be slaves.
The remote transducers allow for mounting of the sensor heads in cramped spaces while the controller is out of the way. The (2) independent and isolated form C relays furnish N.O. and N.C. outputs. This sensor operates at a frequency of 150kHz for the 72" range. This sensor has a narrow sensing beam. Mounting flanges, LED indicators, ranging potentiometers, and 6-ft. transducer cables are included. Optional cable lengths are available.

All the electronic sensors work on a non-contacting basis using magnets - this includes Hall and magnetoresistive sensors. The exceptions are the gear-wheel sensors which use a ferrous gear-wheel. The advantage of magnetoresistive sensors is that the same sensor, a standard small model, can be used for different operational distances. The operational distances which can be achieved depend only on the strength of the magnet used. All the models can also be delivered with non-wearing Hall sensors. Besides the various standard models, we also manufacture customised housings to your requirements.

A proximity switch is a device which causes a switching action without physical contact. SCHMERSAL proximity switches respond to targets that come within the active range of their generated sensing fields. These units are completely self-contained, and house a field generator, amplifier, and other necessary circuitry to accomplish electronic switching.
The units are all solid state and have no moving parts that can wear out. The electronic switches are not susceptible to contact contamination, contact erosion, or material transfer as are mechanical switches.
Their service life, within their specified ratings, is virtually unlimited. The switching is insensitive to vibration, and is positive (full step function) without chatter, regardles of how slowly the target approaches or recedes from the sensor
|
|
Inductive proximity switches are designed for wear-free and non-contact detection of metal objects. For this they use a high-frequency electro-magnetic AC field that interacts with the target.
Moreover uprox+ sensors offer highest switching disntance with their unique coil concept, factor 1 and highest operational safety from the start by simple and safe mounting.

The outstanding feature of the Contrinex series 700 inductive proximity switch is its one-piece stainless steel housing which, at one fell swoop, manages to eliminate the most critical weakness of this type of device. Forget damaged plastic caps, forget breakdowns due to inadequate sealing; they are things of the past! These switches are also exceptional in having very long operating distances, for instance 6 mm for the size M12 embeddable version. As a further bonus, these operating distances are also achieved on non-ferrous metals, e.g. aluminum and brass. These improvements result in completely new application possibilities for traditional inductive devices, without having to forego any of their advantages. In all others ways, they are normal proximity switches with the usual data and protection functions. Embeddable and non-embeddable versions in sizes M12, M18 and M30 are available immediately.
|
|
|
The range includes different size devices for operating pressures from 100 to 500 bars. Their main applications are in high-pressure hydraulic systems. They feature a stainless-steel housing imperviously shrunk onto a ceramic disk at the sensing face.

Balluff single and multiple position limit switches have proven themselves for decades under the most stringent conditions. They ensure flawless function under vibration, shock, rapid temperature changes, and in the presence of aggressive coolants/lubricants and heavy chip formation. Inductive single and multiple position limit switches are also characterized by high electromagnetic compatibility.

There has always been an industrial demand for small and reliable proximity switches with very long operating distances. Thanks to the CONDIST® technology, developed and patented by the innovative Swiss company CONTRINEX, inductive proximity switches with quadruple operating distance have been launched onto the market. These switches guarantee all functionalities with operating temperatures of -25 °C ... +70 °C. They are manufactured according to the strictest quality standards, and present the user with a wide range of technically interesting and economically advantageous application possibilities. Largely compatible with standard proximity switches, they are particularly suitable for targets which are normally difficult to detect, such as small or narrow objects, non-ferrous metals, wires, etc.. The range includes N.O. and N.C. types, PNP or NPN executions, as cable or connector versions. Available in sizes M8 and M12, the devices are quasi embeddable, and contain all important protection functions, such as short-circuit protection, EMC and polarity-reversal protection.
