Different object colours and surfaces can heavily effect the detection behaviour of an energetic switch. With purely energetic evaluation, it is, for example, not possible to detect a black object in front of a white background.The white background reflects more light than the object itself.
In order to deal with such applications reliably, the background suppression procedure was developed. In this procedure, both the light reflected by the background and by the object is evaluated.The light is captured by two different receiver elements. With this procedure, it is possible to reliably detect e.g. a dark object on a light color conveyor belt.
There are two different procedures for the physical realisation of background suppression. In general, a distinction is made between a fixed and adjustable background suppression. With a fixed background suppression, the transmitter and receiver elements are rigidly mounted.
The laser units are particularly suitable for the detection of very small objects. With larger objects, a red-light or infrared sensor should be used. Only the background suppression procedure enables the detection of a dark object on a light conveyor belt.

Function
The TSO is a supply and exhaust air diffuser designed for ceiling assembly. The TSO has a perforated front plate and a connection sleeve fitted with a rubber seal tested for airtightness. The TSO has high induction which allows a maximum air temperature difference of dT 10 K. The distribution pattern can be altered with the SSO shielding accessory to one-, two- or three-way distribution. The distribution unit is adjustable.

ECOJET® is suitable for perforation-type integration into existing ceilings. The air diffuser supports air management when cooker extraction hoods are used. The flowing-in fresh air can penetrate down to the floor region of the kitchen.
The air diffuser consists of a box-type housing made of stainless steel and a lateral socket with adjusting unit. The housing is fitted with suspension lugs for the fastening of the device to the existing ceiling.
The edges of the bottom face of the galvanized steel sheet housing are designed to support suspended ceilings (e.g. plasterboards). Two perforated metal sheet levels (hole pattern Rv 3.5-5) ensure the draught-free inflow of fresh air. The lower perforated metal sheet panels can be removed for adjusting work.
