Position switches for high temperature
For more than 20 years Pizzato Elettrica has been producing one of the world most wide range of position switches, safety switches, microswitches, foot switches. Pizzato Elettrica products are usually used worldwide in different industrial sectors characterized by their reliability and their quality/price ratio.
Eventually the range of products in the survey sector has been growing covering very specialized sectors such as switches in conformity with ATEX directive and switches with electronic contacts.
Among the various new products 2007 Pizzato Elettrica has introduced a new series of position switches especially studied for high temperature application. These products are characterized by their long mechanical life in relation to the working temperature, that is up to 1 million operation cycles at +180°C.
A dedicated brochure on these new products is available on the website www.pizzato.com.

NEWS 2009
MODULAR PREWIRED SWITCHES NA-NB-NF SERIES
Always consistent with its innovation and the company quality targets, Pizzato Elettrica introduces three new prewired switches series provided with innovative and unique characteristics.
The main features of these products are:
- Separation between the switch body and the wired connector, which allows the user to change a product in the field without having to completely remove the wires.
- 14 contact blocks available: these series contact blocks are versatile and compact. In the same space of the previous versions now it’s possible to have up to 4 different contacts, provided with positive opening.
- 35 actuators available, some of these were not available in the previous series: based on chosen actuator, many products variations are available.
- Single pieces of these products can be purchased separetely: this is advantageous to distributors of electrical material for stock flexibility and final customers for spare parts or new combinations.
- Metal housing (NA-NB) and polymer housing (NF), adjustable cable output.
- 3 (NA-NB) or 2 (NF) types of integrated connector cable.
- Protection degree IP67.
The new series support the FA-FB-FF series, which are currently present in the market, proposing in this way one of the widest products range in the position switches sector.

Safety-/ position switches
Monitoring safe positions with LS-Titan
safety position switches From material handling systems to plastic injection moulding; from car washes to doors on trams: the position switches LS-Titan are used wherever there is exact positioning requirement.
The analog position switch with a voltage or current output also enables a range of new applications for the LS-Titan, where mechanical position detection could only provide insufficient information up to now – for example, detecting the position with opened flaps for flue gasses.
World innovation – the electronic position switch LSE-Titan®
electronic position switch The electronic position switch LSE has an operating point that can be set variably. Two fast and bounce-free PNP switch outputs enable high switching frequencies. They are protected against short-circuit and overload and are equipped with an abrupt switching behaviour. This guarantees a defined and reproducible operating point.
The actual operation point is in a range between 0.5 mm to 5.5 mm (supplied ex-works = 3 mm). The setting to the “new” operating point is performed as follows: The plunger must be moved from the “old” to the “new” operating position. Now the set button should be pressed for a duration of 1 sec. The LED now flashes with a higher pulse frequency and the new operation point is set retentively.

Yaskawa's Bestact™ dustproof and flood-tight proximity switches offer industry-compatible mounting capability with IP52-IP68 (~NEMA 2-6) enclosure ratings. These switches utilize Yaskawa's world-renowned Bestact™ logic and inductive rated (0.5 & 0.125HP) reed switches. General locations up to 510°F (265°C) and sensing distances up to 4.33" (110mm) are possible. They do not need a DC power supply or snubber/varistor protective devices and do not employ complicated amplifying circuitry that is needed for photo-electric/inductive proximity switches. They are ideal for corrosive, dirty, extreme temperature and gaseous Class I, Division 2 hazardous location environments where failure is not tolerated and reduced maintenance costs are of the utmost importance. Two-line wiring and latching capability are other features that are offered.

Last born of the inductive proximity detectors, the family DuroProx proposes detectors in a case of only one part 100% stainless, with an immunity against the parasites meeting the standard INTO 61000-6-2. Available out of cylindrical cases M8, M12 and M18 in version connector, these detectors find their application in harsh environments (persistent stains, aggressive chemical mediums, disturbed electromagnetic fields) thanks to their class of protection IP68 for the front face and IP67 for the case. Their resistance authorizes even pressures to 20 bars on the front face.

A process card resonant circuit is arranged with these sensors under the active surface. The electromagnetic field produced by the process card resonant circuit becomes during approximation of metals (e.g. Steel, aluminum or brass) affect. Achieves the metal the adjusted switching gap switches the exit.

Position and movement detection is indispensable in the automation industry. Non-contact proximity switches allow for a significantly higher number of switch operations than mechanically operated switching elements. The different elobau variants usually use reed technology and are operated with magnets. Steel proximity switches and vane switches are the exception as they are operated by a ferrous metal.

The reed switch is an electrical switch operated by an applied magnetic field. It was invented at Bell Telephone Laboratories in 1936 by W. B. Elwood. It consists of a pair of contacts on ferrous metal reeds in a hermetically sealed glass envelope. The contacts may be normally open, closing when a magnetic field is present, or normally closed and opening when a magnetic field is applied.
A magnetic field (such as from an energized coil around the glass tube or a permanent magnet moved towards it) will cause the contacts to pull together, thus completing an electrical circuit. The stiffness of the reeds causes them to separate, and open the circuit, upon removal of the magnetic field. A more complicated configuration contains a nonferrous normally closed contact that opens when the ferrous normally open contact closes. Good electrical contact is assured by plating a thin layer of precious metal over the flat contact portions of the reeds.

Sonar Proximity Switches SIMATIC PXS
From 2,5 cm to 10 m - They Hear Everything!
Our sonar proximity switches sense objects of varying materials, shapes, colors or consistencies with absolute precision, flexibility and reliability. The application potential is almost unlimited. Whether recording fill levels or heights, measuring distances or counting bottles, our switches recognize objects with a wide range of properties from a distance of 2,5 cm to 10 m, regardless whether they are liquid, solid, powdery or even transparent. Surface conditions are irrelevant as well - they can be rough or smooth, clean or dirty, wet or dry. Our proximity switches feature maximum ruggedness and resistance against dirt, vibration and extraneous light or sound.
|
|
Capacitive Proximity Switches SIMATIC PXC
Monitoring Fill Levels and More
Capacitive proximity switches also operate contactless and equally respond almost instinctively when conductive or non- conductive materials in solid, powdery or liquid states have to be measured. They are particularly convincing in monitoring fill levels through non-metallic materials such as plastic or glass, and in counting objects made of various substances.
|
|
Inductive Proximity Switches SIMATIC PXI
Instinctive Response to Metal
When identifying metal objects without contact, inductive proximity switches are simply the most cost-effective solution. If an electrically or magnetically conductive object approaches or leaves, they automatically send out a signal change. Inductive proximity switches are extremely reliable with a high repeat accuracy. And thanks to wear-free operation as well as resistance to temperature, noise, light or water, they have a markedly long service life. We cover the complete application spectrum with a large variety of designs and transmission ranges.
