Combine The Positive Timing Action of Gears With the Flexibility, Speed and Low Noise Level of Belts
The Browning HPT® Synchronous Belt Drive line offers a wide range of HP and speeds, from very low speeds - 10 RPM or less - to speed well over 5,000 RPM, with horsepower ratings from fractional to more than 200 HP.
Belt Drive Features and Benefits include:
Significantly Quieter Operation
New Parabolic Tooth Profile
Glass Fiber Cord Tension Member
Neoprene Rubber Body
Nylon Facing Fabric
Positive Drive, No Slip
Lower Belt Tensions
No Lubrication Required
Fully Interchangeable With Competitive Types
|
|
Synchronous components ensure an engaged drive that does not slip. Compared with chain drives, the speed range is more than twice as high while retaining high belt efficiency.
Synchronous belts are most suitable for areas when proper maintenance is difficult or where downtime could prove to be extremely expensive.

Timing belt pulleys and V-belt pulleys
Walther Flender Antriebstechnik GmbH is one of Germany major suppliers of timing belt pulleys and V-belt pulleys. We have a wide variety of belts and standard pulleys in stock.
Toothed belt and V-groove pulleys are manufactured by Walther Flender based on customer drawings and, if necessary, are processed with special surface treatments, balancing or grinding, according to your requirements.
WF timing belt and V-belt pulleys are available in various aluminium alloys and synthetic materials. We also offer pulleys made of steel and grey cast iron.
In coordination with our product managers, specially adapted hub cutters are used to reduce the stress on the timing belt and to optimised positioning accuracy.

The capped tube pulley design is used in applications with pulley face widths in excess of 6 inches. Two end caps are welded to tube stock of proper diameter, surface finish, and hardness. They are usually fixed to a shaft via QD bushings attached to the end caps via a bolt hole diameter.

Belt Technologies patented Independently Steerable Pulley, or ISP, has been designed for an effective method of compensating for camber, which is inherent in the metal strip used to manufacture metal belts. Using either of two methods, the rotated shaft method, or rotated collar method, the steering collar of the ISP is easily actuated to provide movement left or right across the face of the pulley. This removes the need for pillow blocks, jack screws, or other alignment methods. The system can be adjusted while in motion as well.

|
Timing pulleys are used when a system needs to deliver precise positioning accuracy or repeatability. Timing elements help to control belt creep in a typical belt system.
Belt Technologies, Inc. features two types of timing pulleys.
Type I Timing features a timing element which protrudes from the surface of the pulley, and engages in a belt perforation.
Type II Timing incorporates a timing pocket into the pulley, which engages with a physical component on the inner circumference of the metal belt.
Design Considerations for timing pulleys include material type, tape support diameter, and pulley type.
