Featuring a stainless steel body, these 16mm and 19mm R.series pushbuttons are protected to IP65 for use outside or within aggressive environments. They offer a mechanical service life of 1,000,000 operations within an operating temperature of -20°C to +55°C.
The 19mm versions are available with LED illumination, either an attractive ‘halo’ ring or central dot. The halo effect creates a contemporary look that is also an effective way to focus the user’s attention on a primary function.
Red, green, yellow, orange, blue and white LEDs are offered as standard.
The R.series pushbutton features a round actuator with a momentary switching action. It mounts flush to the panel and connects with soldering / plug-in or screw terminals.
Typical applications include access control, ticketing machines, automats, vending machines and kiosks alongside industrial machinery and factory equipment.

Technical description
The switch is in "ON" position with the red knob extended. Pushing the knob instantly opens the circuit and the permanent magnetic blowout ensures that inductive arcs are extinguished. Because of the built-in permanent magnetic blowout correct polarity of line termination is required. In case of electrical or mechanical damage of the switching element, it can be changed easily, which guarantees an extended life of the unit as well as cost effective maintanance. When fitted with the optional keyswitch, the S132 may be locked in the "OFF" position so as to prevent unauthorised use of any equipment.
Features
- Momentary action mechanism
- Magnetic blowout
- Two definite bistable positions
- Cylinder lock available
- Auxiliary contact available

Originally developed for use in the industrial sector, but increasingly employed in the automotive industry, the push buttons made by elobau are operated by magnets. Therefore, they achieve significantly more switching cycles than mechanical switching elements. LED-lit variants or variants with function and night lighting and symbols lasered onto the surface of the buttons are suitable for use on the outside of vehicles thanks to their high protection class.

This series with the largest actuator and lowest behind-panel depth within the APEM switch range perfectly complements the APEM product portfolio. The LPI has been developed on a modular base to fit the exact needs of technicians and end-users: more than 300,000 combinations are possible in this way!
For technicians, this pushbutton is available in 2 output versions, for front or rear mounting: a 5A combined separated NO/NC version and a 0.5A NO version. The low behind-panel depth allows installation in environments where space is critical.
For end-users, many different actuator types are available: with raised crimped, screen printed or raised moulded symbol. The large actuator surface allows a visible marking and a big symbol height. Dot or ring LED illumination is also available.
Because of its large actuator, this series is ideal for all applications where the pushbutton needs to be located quickly. Complying with the requirements of the EN81-70 standard (from Disability Discrimination Act), it allows disabled persons to access lifts and buildings more easily.
Features:
• Large ergonomic actuator (dia. 35 mm)
• Tactile feedback
• Low behind-panel depth (21mm max.)
• Stylish design
• Long Life (5,000,000 cycles for 0,5A version)
Applications:
• Where the pushbutton needs to be located quickly (access control, call information, museum, exhibitions…)
• Everywhere space is critical
• Where the end-user uses gloves

New sealed pushbuttons with dia. 16 mm bushing
IR series
APEM has expanded the “I” range of sealed miniature pushbuttons with the introduction of a new dia. 16 mm pushbutton series. The IR series of sealed momentary pushbutton switches is divided into 2 families: standard models and micro-switch technology models.
The standard models include numerous terminal options: solder, flying lead, straight PC, quick-connect, but also screw. The screw terminal version, unique on the market for this type of product, withstands up to 4 amps. Moreover, the behind-panel depth of the flying lead version is the shortest on the market.
The microswitch models are available with 2 electrical functions: NO+NC (3 terminals) and NO/NC combined (4 terminals) withstanding up to 5 amps. APEM is the sole manufacturer on the market offering an illumination option with a wide choice of colours on this type of switch.
APEM’s new IR series can be easily customized. Among the possibilities, round flat actuators can be marked. Also, the LED resistor can be integrated on flying lead versions.

Even redundant, secure emergency-stop chains are ineffective unless the contact block is accurately connected with the emergency-stop button. The patented safety contact blocks of Schlegel Elektrokontakt are the response to this danger that may occur e.g. due to a negligent assembly or a mechanical damage.
In such an emergency they ensure that the emergency function is activated and that the installation is immediately shutdown. It can only be started up again after trouble-shooting.
The contact blocks are available with screw connections or Faston terminals and do have positive opening contacts acc. to IEC60947-5-1. They can be supplied with one or two channels and also, once combined with the relative E-stop button, in a foolproof version acc. to EN60947-5-5 and EN418. The high-quality contact elements allow reliable switching even of low currents (5mA at 24V or less). They are available as conventional contact blocks as well as for the AS-Interface-Bus (Safety@Work).

It is assembled as an addition to a door latch
It avoids accidents related to the possible locking of an operator in a dangerous area.
It is equipped with a push button and safety contact block for the equipment emergency stop, the DEU adapts to all types of door latches and it is installed inside the protected area.
The emergency evacuation device forces ejection of the latch. The pushing the button frees the latch and stops the machine immediately due to a 2 0 safety contact and permits opening of the access by pushing the door.
EMERGENCY EVACUATION DEVICE
In case of emergency:
1 – The locked-in operator presses the push button.
2 – The latch separates from the DEU.
3 – The safety contact opens the emergency stop circuit.
To re-start, it will be necessary to unblock the latch after the installation is safe.
The latch must be assembled in the fixed part of the access.
Options
- Without contacts

Mechanical life beyond the 50,000 cycles required of MIL-S-8805; up to one million cycles for special designs with reduced operating force. Makes and breaks every time! Less than 25 milliohms contact resistance because the OTTO design features inherent rocking-action that breaks welds and wipes contacts clean.
The OTTO P1 series pushbutton switch offers vastly improved life under extreme conditions found in most military environments. Moistureproofing is accomplished in two ways. The pushbutton is sealed with a silicone boot operating on our patented “rolling sleeve”, providing longer life and smoother operation over a wide temperature range. Epoxy seals protect the contacts and terminals from hostile environments and solder flux.
Watertight sealing (submergible) to 1 meter (IP68) water pressure is available but not as a military approved version as there are no Military specifications. This watertight design is also available in commercial construction as the P3 series. Add “W” to your part number.

Manufactured from Stainless Steel, Bulgin’s extensive range of vandal resistant security switches are designed with a high resistance to wear and tear, corrosion and harsh use in potentially hostile environments such as access control applications.
The front and rear panel mounted versions have three profiles – prominent, domed and low profile – with a choice of switching and IP66 & 68 front panel sealing that, combined together, meet the ergonomic, electrical and environmental demands of switch panel design. And where the ultimate strength of steel is not needed, there is a brass, chrome plated alternative. The low profile style switches are now also available with a latching, push on - push off, action.
The illuminated versions, available in dot and ring indication and a variety of illumination colours, are new to the range and will add that extra dimension to control panel layouts.
Other switch types include conventional push-button and toggle switches.
